The Tiny Teapot

TO ALL . . . THE TINY TEAPOT IS NOT IN BOROUGHBRIDGE ( as far as we know ) Here's a first, a review on the experience and not the service and product ?
Having taken my my wife on a surprise overnight visit to Helmsley I sourced a nice place to take breakfast the following morning before going on for a walk around Ripon and it's nature reserve, the wetlands.
I'd stumbled across the great reviews of The Tiny Teapot when sourcing accommodation as I had struggled to get it initially in Helmsley due to it being a last minute surprise as she loves the area. So considering nearby Boroughbridge of course this lovely cafe popped up.
However, on getting there we walked the streets up and down confused about it's location.
I said to my wife it looks like the little gravel yard from photo's where a hairdressers and women's clothes shop was.
A lady had been stood at the door of the dress shop, and asked us if we was looking for the cafe, to which we said yes.
She joked and apologised on her friends behalf, that she had told her to get a coffee machine and throw a few chairs outside as she would be 'quids in ' due to the amount of people looking for Tiny Teapot !
And then informed us she thought the owners had moved it to Knaresbrough .
So, as popular as it is, and as great as the lady told us it was, alas we dipped out on a treat due to internet information not being kept up to date. . . Hopefully we will enjoy one day the delights of the cafe, and I suppose it gives us an excuse to travel up from Sheffield one day to this lovely area.

We love to call into Boroughbridge on our journey north to see friends and family. Bowe & Co. serve lovely coffee, soup and sarnies. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the food is tremendous. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Great little find just off the A1 towards York, we stopped for breakfast. Dairy and gluten-free accommodating, dog friendly as the tables outside undercover. Fantastic food great parking and all Cooke from fresh is brilliant. Not sure why people are rating four stars on here this is definitely a five star cafe

Just WOW! we spent the weekend in Boroughbridge and stayed at the Grantham Arms, we were there for my birthday weekend as there were a couple of walks in the area we wanted to do. However on the Saturday morning I was up early (04:15) and decided to take my 7 month old Bull Terrier for a walk around Boroughbridge, and discovered plenty, I mean it wasn't open but loved the name and could see it was also dog friendly.

So once the rest of the family was awake, we went for breakfast.....

It was SO good, everyone's breakfast delivered at the same time, and everything looked amazing on the plate. The staff were super attentive but not overbearing....the stars of the show (for me) were (as crazy as it sounds) the toast and the tea!

Don't get me wrong, it was all very nice indeed, but that toast had the best crunch and the absolute right thickness!

You will not be disappointed here.

The funny part was my family (wife, daughters x 2) are scared of wasps and when one came to see what we were having for breakfast I was able to catch it and kill it with the tea pots, tea cosy..... if it wasn't for that tea cosy who know the level of crazy our table would of gone.
