Best Sunday lunch ever. We were a party of 5 and two well behaved dogs and they accommodated us in a little snug area, so it felt like a private dining experience. The staff were so lovely, friendly and very good at their jobs, food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

Just spent a over night stay in my campervan with my dog Alfie.i was made welcome from the first minute. Choice of beer and wine are very good, as was the food menu. Alfie my dog was spoilt rotten with treats from the locals.i had a first class stay and WILL DEFINITELY return in the future . thanks to the staff and locals for making my stay so enjoyable ?

We had past the Queen's Head, numerous times on our holiday, thinking it was closed, well do not be fooled. We finally visited on our last night and by get out of the car and going in, we found out it was amazing and open, as it has been all the time. It has a lovely seating area out the back which we didn't realise. Well the staff were very friendly, the food amazing and atmosphere great. In away good job we had triggered it was open, otherwise we would have been there every night. Thanks to the staff for making our last night very memorable and should we be up that way again.

We booked a table for x6 adults 13:30. It is a busy little restaurant. We were shown to our table, given menus, and told to order at the bar. No problem, but quite a wsit at the bar. Then a table of four Sat down and their orders taken at the table? \nThe roast dinners were very nice. Some green veg and parsnip would have been great, but the carrot and swede mash was OK, yorkshire puds were lovely along with the roasties. Nice gravey. Cauliflower cheese side order was super. After finishing, we waited quite a while, but the waitresses continued to walk past, look, knew we'd finished, and did not clear our table. Finally we ordered puddings at the bar, the barmen came to our table, cleared the plates and took pudding orders. Again, all very nice. \nYou'll not be dissapointed with you Sunday dinner but the service is a little sporadic?

Stayed here around the time of a wedding at Jervaulx Abbey. 11 of our family stayed. The rooms were good. It was very hot weather and the hotel kindly lent us fans. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked. We had a meal in a private dining room the night before the wedding. The food was delicious. The staff were excellent. The village is very pretty. We will come to stay here again.

Dog friendly! We had two battered cods, one scampi and a cold roast ham. It was all lovely! Especially the homemade onion pickle, which combined beautifully with the ham. The batter on the fish was lovely and crispy, while the cod was light and moist on the inside. Might have to come back and try the pickled egg in a packet of crisps (now homemade)...

Lovely little pub ran by friendly and honest people. Beautiful location for hikes and varied menu. Really appreciate the kindness from Warren saving us from an emergency. Will be back there again!

Sublime food, well worth every penny (even though not really that expensive considering), and charming service. We had the cod and bream duo and the steak. 10/10. I'd go all the way back just to eat there again. :)
