We visited as a party of six for a work anniversary celebration and had a fantastic evening. The table was beautifully set, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming.

There was a great selection of drinks, and the wine choice was excellent. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely added to the experience, making the evening feel extra special.

The food was absolutely exceptional — each course was beautifully presented and tasted amazing.

We’ll definitely be returning in the future and would highly recommend a visit if you’re looking for a special night out!

Absolutely amazing. We had the quessadillas, nachos and hot wings for starters - all amazing, but the hot wings were crispy (not what I expected but it was delicious nonetheless). For mains we had fajitas and oh my god were they delicious. Now I am jealous we don’t have this restaurant near where we live in Yorkshire. How much are houses around Kettering? ? 100% will come again if we’re in this part of the country. Love this place.

Five stars all around for The Queen’s Arms’ fish and chips this past Friday. The batter had that ideal crunch and held up beautifully, while the fish inside was exceptionally tender and tasty. 5 stars. Best cooked breakfast in kettering. Staff always friendly. I go with a group of 12+ on Tuesday staff always welcoming. Fast and we seem to never be a trouble for the staff. They always do check backs to ensure we are happy with our food. They always place the cutlery before the food arrives. They are what is said a working team. Toilets always clean, I always enjoy visiting her since the old grumpy landlord left.

It's a Macdonalds, so what's to say? Always clean and busy. Food is usually hot and OK. Only ever one issue with orders, I asked for extra onions on a burger and didn't get them
Milkshakes and coffee are often better here than other Macdonalds for some reason. No time restriction on parking is a bonus. But the upstairs is often closed so interior seating can be limited at busy times, though there is some exterior seating too. Like all Macdonalds the quality of service is dependant on who's on shift and their experience level.

That’s exactly what happened when we pulled up a chair at Café Amore in Kettering.
Within about thirty seconds, it was less “Saturday brunch in Northamptonshire” and more “sunny long lunch by the Aegean, with a suspiciously good tan.”

The Arrival: Sunshine on a Plate

Before we could even think about being polite and saying “Oh no, you order first,” the first wave of dishes arrived—and they just kept coming.
We were greeted with a platter that looked like a love letter to Mediterranean food:
• Hummus smoother than a Barry White song, just begging for a hunk of bread to dive into it
• Tzatziki so fresh you could practically hear cucumbers applauding from the kitchen
• Tangy olives, spicy tapenade, and flatbreads still warm enough to fog your sunglasses

And then came the real heavy hitters:
• Crisp golden falafel (honestly, you’d need self-restraint of steel not to eat them all immediately)
• Kibbeh, those glorious parcels of seasoned meat and bulgur wheat, so good we almost started negotiating over who got the last one
• Fried prawns, crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy inside—a dish we would have happily fought each other for if there weren’t so much else coming

And we haven’t even got to the grilled meats yet—chargrilled chicken, lamb, kofte and vegetables, all smoky, juicy, and singing with spices. The plate didn’t just feed us—it silenced us (and if you know our table, you’ll know that’s saying something).

The Atmosphere: Come Hungry, Leave Family

Café Amore is the definition of relaxed, friendly charm.
You don’t get rushed.
You don’t get pretense.
You get good, honest food, cooked with love, served by people who actually seem delighted that you’re there.

The staff made us feel like long-lost friends returning from a journey, and at one point, we half expected someone to offer us a deck chair and a view of the sea. It’s that warm.

Her demeanor to most customers was that they were interrupting her day.

Good prices across the board, although a large cod at almost £9 seems a bit steep. Depends on how 'large' it is I suppose! But very good overall.

Grange Fish Bar

First time of using the Grange Fish bar and I wasn't disappointed!!
I was staying at my elderly parents home and they fancied Fish n Chips but they usually use another place but I suggested trying them as they were more local.
The Fish was a good size in a lovely light crispy batter as was the pineapple fritter!The Chips were tasty too!
Everything looked & tasted freshly cooked -was very impressed!
Sharon & Bobby were friendly & helpful too...
Will definitely be ordering again on my next visit to Kettering...plus will be organising a delivery for my elderly parents in the meantime!

First time ordering from here as didn't realise they did Chinese food until leaflet came through the door.
Hubby and kids voted Chinese for dinner on Friday eve. I decided to pop down and collect as it was quicker to do so.
Greater by young lady and young man who were very friendly. They chatted to my little boy who was very excited about the decorative lucky cat. They gave him some sweets and offered to carry the food to my car for me so could hold his hand and help him into the car.
Food smelt so good on the way home, and did not disappoint at all.
We ordered a share box plus some seaweed, satay chicken and a beef curry with boiled rice and a chow mein. There was so much delicious food it was unbelievable!
It fed 4 people for dinner and then lunch the next day for 3 people!

The Dukes is a welcoming, rare traditional style, family and dog friendly, food and drink establishment with a large garden and restaurant. We're in the area for a week so after having had their carvery on Sunday we decided to return.
Tuesday evening, relatively busy, friendly pub offering a varied menu with additional specials board. Two of us sat out In the garden with the dog. Had a very enjoyable meal of steak pie and seafood platter. Chips were exceptional. Pudding; I had the caramel apple pie with custard special and my partner the Knickerbocker glory (we're old school) over-all very good value for money. The staff were very polite, efficient and customer focused. Would highly recommend The Chiff Chaff real ale.

First visit last night with friends after seeing their socials. The food was lovely, drinks were nice enough and was greeted with a friendly welcome. Only disappointment was after our main meal the service stopped. No offer of deserts or even any more drinks. After half an hour we just left. I’m sure we will return again though to give it another go x
