Wallace Arms
Rowfoot, HaltwhistleFirst visit to the Wallace, more than impressed. Lovely out of the way watering hole. Idyllic settling where you can get lost in time and just chill. Good selection of various ales and basically a good selection of everything else. Haven't eaten there yet, but if the food is as good as the welcome, you get, and the way you feel when entering the pub. I need to say nothing else. Top marks once you've been you will not want to leave.

Jethros
Market Square, HaltwhistleAs this is local to me I have the luxury of being able to call in weekly - have been with family, friends and with a social group. Great range of seating for 1/2 folk or a small group. Staff team are always friendly, quick taking orders and then providing table service. Nice coffee and range of Bubble Teas - popular with the kids. Favourites for us are cheesy fries and bacon sausage and egg butty, and their range of ice cream flavours. In summer we enjoyed one of their late night burger night openings with family. Have a fridge of cold drinks available and offer take away as well as sitting in. Relaxed and friendly environment.

Fryery
Sun House, Main St, HaltwhistleDuring last nights stay at Mole End Cottage we decided to pop to the Fryery upon a recommendation of the cottage owner. This take away has plenty to offer which was great as we fancied fish and chips and our girls wanted pizza, therefore it saved us having to go to two different places !! The prices are very reasonable and the food was delicious. The payment option is cash only, we are not local and wouldn't know where the nearest cash machine is located, luckily we had cash with us.Highly recommended.Kid-friendliness: The menu caters for children.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a small step to get in, however the staff were extremely friendly and I am sure they would offer as kuchen help as possible should it be needed
