A1, MorpethHubby found this little gem, which is not far from where we live, lovely rural little cafe, delicious home cooked meals & the best cakes ever. Its Hilary & the staff who make the place special as it feels like a family warm welcome. Our little dog is always welcomed too & given treats. Thankyou xx

Dobson Restaurant
Longhorsley, MorpethThe restaurant has a great vibe and the personnel is really attentive. Dinner was an overall great experience, starter to dessert and the drink I had was awesome! A couple of the dishes were a bit salty, and the duck confit ended up a little on the dry side, but nothing to put us off. The mash was of the best I have tasted, silky and tasty. The only way I can fairly describe the cheesecake is with the word superb. I would visit again.

The Running Fox
Rothbury Rd, Longframlington, MorpethAbsolutely wonderful experience, staff are very polite, food is amazing and the atmosphere is very calming! I'd highly recommend a visit to any of the running fox sites I have personally visited the Felton store a few years ago and the Longframlington store a handful of times and have always been left impressed by my experience when visiting. If you're looking for somewhere local for a quick bite, coffee or a meal this is definitely the place to go. Thanks again to all of the staff and it's great to have seen the business develop the way it has since its single site all those years ago. We'll definitely be back to visit again. P.S sorry I didn't get any good photos of stuffing my face to put on here ?

Shoulder Of Mutton
East Rd, Longhorsley, MorpethWe called in here for an early evening meal after a day at cragside. We were greeted in a friendly manner and sat down to select from the extensive menu. The mince and dumpling was great and my wife enjoyed the hallumi with Mediterranean vegetables. We didn’t stay overnight so I can’t comment on the rooms but the restaurant area was quiet; staff were friendly and very efficient so I would recommend this place for food.Food & drinks: Menu is extensive with good portion size.

Eshott Airfield Cafe and Viewing Area
Eshott Airfield, Eshott Airfield, MorpethTen stars for food, service and the view!! Perfect good size cafe with inside and outside sitting areas, well designed. Any plane lover should stop by. We had a soup, toastie, coffee and a cake, all of which were just delicious. Ladies behind the counter and all the other staff at the airfield provide excellent service. This was our first visit and certainly not last.

Bari Bar
Percy wood golf and country club, Coast View, Swarland, MorpethCame here with my family as we were staying in Percy Wood caravan park for a couple of nights. Cheap drinks, not sure if they do food. Lovely service by the man behind the bar, stuck some money in the pacman machine for my children. I think this place is missing a little children’s park or something to keep the kids busy as it’s a great place!! Will be back :)

Crazy Horse Saloon n Grill
Eshotteugh, MorpethAmazing place! Food was exceptional and huge portions. We had to have take out boxes for our leftovers as we couldn’t eat it all. Staff were lovely and friendly, so helpful and added bonus that dogs are welcome. Prices very reasonable and a great menu! Great atmosphere and plenty of live music, bingo and games room downstairs.

Bockenfield Country Park, FeltonWe're about to leave Olives Place after 3 nights here. I have to say from start to finish what an amazing place this is. I highly recommend staying here. We were greeted by a welcome pack comprising bottle of prosecco, bar of chocolate and large packet of crisps. I thought this was a lovely touch by the owners. The kitchen is very well equipped with good quality cooking implements. It is decorated very tastefully with lots of throws to cuddle up into whilst relaxing on the sofa or outside on the large verandah had the weather been less rainy. The hot tub was to die for. We have 2 small dogs who loved being here too. There is a short walk on the site for dogs on leads. There are a number of other places to drive to if you want to let them have a long off lead run. This vacation has been just what was needed after a stressful time. We leave feeling totally recharged and relaxed. Thankyou so much for giving us such a lovely time. We will definitely be back.
