84-86, High St, GalashielsWe had an absolutely beautiful meal last night. (01/08/25)
The food was perfect, the service was amazing, Azma and co are so friendly and welcoming - we also had the pleasure of meeting Amir the chef.
We were a group of four, I requested an extra, extra hot king prawn vindaloo - it did not disappoint. (in other restaurants in the past, I have requested the same, but been served with a disappointingly mild effort).
In addition to the vindaloo, we had a mixed biryani to share, a mixed pasandra, the old Delhi lamb rezala and a lamb pathia, as well as three different types of nan. (garlic/keema/peshwari)
All of the above where absolutely beautiful.
Having previously lived in Edinburgh and dined in many Indian restaurants in London and elsewhere, I can honestly say as a lover of curry - Gala Tandoori is the real deal.
If you are looking for fantastically fresh and lovingly prepared food served with a smile, seated in very comfortable chairs, in a spotlessly clean restaurant - then give Gala Tandoori a go, we will definitely be back.

Open plan kitchen/dining where you can watch the Chefs at work and contrary to popular belief no shouting and expletives. My meal, Ravioli, tasted delicious, however, I know the pasta is supposed to be served Al dente, but mine was a bit too hard where that I had to really cut into it. The price was reasonable, the place was quiet, albeing it was a Sunday I did like it.

Paton St, GalashielsThe food is tasty for a supermarket cafe and the staff are friendly. My son enjoys the chicken burger and the breakfasts have also been good. They do often run out of items, but seem to rely on a different company supplying their stock as they are not part the supermarket downstairs which seems a shame!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this wee cafe. Only 1 issue - cakes are SO good if you are on a diet you'll need to have a lot of willpower or forget the diet. These are not to be missed!

Came here with my wife and daughter for some much-needed calm after our daughter's birthday party at an adventure playpark in torential rain. The chap serving us was called Mikey and he was welcoming, kind and charming - a real asset to this place. Food was great and we had a perfectly relaxing time here.

Gordons Hairdressers, High St, GalashielsI phoned for a family meal I was asked to pick up 20 minutes later. Food was ready on time and we had mixed starter, king prawn curry, salt and chilli chips and shredded chilli beef. All dishes were delicious and very impressed indeed.
