Mounthooly, JedburghDrove past this place on the way to walk up the Cheviot and decided to stop by for dinner afterwards. So glad we did! Interesting menu incorporating local game and other local produce. It was absolutely delicious, just what we needed after a long walk and the best meal we’ve had in a while!

Kenmore Bank, Abbey Bridge Coffee House, The Glebe, JedburghOne of my fave places to go the food is amazing and the staff are so helpful and friendly bit more pricy but worth it just wish the cappuchino was served in a big cup like all the rest instead of a small one

Border Meringues
Unit 1, Old Station Yard, Edinburgh Rd, JedburghA beautiful cafe that far surpassed expectations. Right on the edge of town in an industrial unit, our expectations were reasonably low. However, as soon as you enter the atmosphere changes and you start to get excited by the range of products on offer. Savoury lunches looked good, but we went for coffee and cakes, which were outstanding! A really friendly environment and dog friendly too. Will definitely go back!

6-8 High St, JedburghMature couple day out in Jedburgh. We really really enjoyed our lunch. The chill and rice was fab. Chips spot on. Merlot was geat. Lovely staff. Really nicely decorated with some lovely framed prints to buy

Harestanes Main Building, Ancrum, JedburghStopped for coffee after visits playground. Then also had to order food as menu was super interesting, along with offering cakes etc. Everything tasted great. Family friendly, they used trick of putting high chair over the bench seating so toddler felt nice and included. We were there on a week day. Imagine can be very popular at weekends/holidays.

23A Castle Gate, JedburghGorgeous food and hospitality had steak which was cooked medium rare as asked, beautiful peppercorn sauce really enjoyed. Good choice of of beer and cider. Would highly recommend ?

52 High St, JedburghBasic little bar with a coal fire. What it lacks in decor and fittings it makes up with atmosphere and friendliness. Great selection of beers and a perfect lovely pint. Only sells crisps and nuts. No food. A great locals bar. Will visit again.

45 High St, JedburghThis take away is fabulous,my wife and I were passing through and stopped at Jedburgh Baguettes,the service was very good and the young chap who owns it explained everything on display even the scrumptious cakes which his sister makes you should definitely try this place.by the way we had two baguettes and a one tray bake each with the hottest cup of tea I have had.The prices are unbelievable for what you get.We sat outside then went in and chatted to the owner and his sister to whom we wish all the best for the future. The Capon Tree Town House
61 High St, JedburghParking was a little limited on street, but it was very early December 2025, just before the ramp up to Christmas parties etc. I'm sure there would have been other options around. The restaurant was lovely and great value. Had a couple of drinks later that evening with the owner and staff, they were lovely and the service was brilliant. The rooms were very nicely kept and provided everything I needed for my work stay. The location was perfect for the workplace I was visiting 5 mins down the road. Jedburgh is clearly a lovely tourist trap too at the right time of year. Definitely recommend staying here. Only down side for me was that it was a continental breakfast only, however, I can't blame them as I was the only guest and it was a lovely continental, just personal preference. Would stay again.

Abbey Bridge Stove Centre
Unit 2, Riverside Works, Edinburgh Rd, JedburghOur visit here was unexpectedly brilliant! We came as a family and had a range of dishes from pizza, to all day breakfast to toasties and soup. Everything was beautifully cooked and very delicious. The portions were huge - enough that we took pizza home and had it for lunch the next day. What a find! We’ll definitely be back - if I could rate more than 5 stars I would.

10 High St, JedburghTried the donner kebab. It was OK. Pretty average. I would use again trying rest of menu. The kebab needed more salad and stronger garlic sauce. The meat was OK but not as spicy as I get in Gateshead. Although I didn't get chicken it looked nice on the rack.

Golden River Chinese Takeaway
16 Canongate, JedburghPhoned in an order, told it would take 15 mins but on arrival it wasn't ready, we then waited another 15 mins until it was ready.
Prices seem very expensive, almost cost £20 for just one meal, but when we got home the portions were huge, it could easily feed 3 people.
Food was very nice and enjoyable but nothing was amazing!

Lilliardsedge Tavern Bar, JedburghAs always, the Sunday carvery was fantastic today. Very busy but very efficient service. Great choice of veg and potatoes with the carvery and meat perfectly cooked. Very reasonable price. Booking definitely needed for Sunday lunch.
