17 High St, SelkirkThe Peony Rose was where I first discovered their delightful ‘old school cake,’ along with a wonderfully zesty lemon and coconut slice that was both refreshing and indulgent. The team here are absolutely lovely, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere from the moment you walk in. I was served by Emma, who could not have been sweeter. She was attentive, helpful, and unfailingly polite, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for delicious bakes and genuinely warm service.

Ozkan's Grill Takeaway Selkirk
27 High St, SelkirkHad to try mixed wrap twice incase I got lucky first time... not the case both wraps both times were MASSIVE...and delicious.. definitely the best I've had in the borders but also abroad.. the 1 wrap was like man vs food more than enough to feed 2 normal people. The chef cooked everything perfect and deserves credit For being the best around a 50 mile radius. I happily drive 20 miles just to come here as never ever been disappointed with these guys. Portions are massive compared to chippy next door so definitely best takeaway in Selkirk and beyond...

1 Buccleuch Rd, SelkirkBoss little takeaway, it's nothing fancy but you'll get a decent feed with real food and some flavour, and you don't have to have the same thing every day.
My favourite is the venison burger.

Ashkirk, SelkirkStopped on our way to Edinburgh and what a great find. Just a few tables and lovely home cooked Sunday lunch. It was lamb with roast potatoes and nicely cooked veg. We had rhubarb crumble and custard to follow which was also top notch.\n\nService was spot on and extremely friendly and I think it was his wife in the kitchen. This sort of place is dying out and it's such a shame - good honest home-cooked food at a reasonable price.\n\nGive Hawick a miss (not difficult) and give this place a try.

Philipburn Restaurant
Linglie Rd, SelkirkWe called in twice for an evening meal at the Philipburn Hotel during our stay in the Selkirk area and found that the food & the service was just amazing. The place is spotlessly clean and the attention to detail is seen throughout the Hotel. The quality of all the food was excellent and the presentation of all the courses was so professional. Needless to say we certainly enjoyed both meals at the Philipburn and would certainly call in again if we return to that area. Initially we had mainly called in as it was Dog Friendly and of course this does restrict where you can eat but the Philipburn certainly made us feel very welcome and the lounge / bar area was very comfortable. All the food was excellent but the Sea Bass and the Fresh Fruit Sundae were just outstandingly good. Some great beers available as well.

Woll Restaurant
Ashkirk, SelkirkWent there today. Had a woll burger. Absolutely loved it. My partner had the soup was really nice. Surprisingly for me, I couldn't finish it even though I really wanted to. Four stars for atmosphere due to it being a bit quiet. Would highly recommend

3 Market Pl, SelkirkI haven't had a 'sit-in' for a few years so I was very pleasantly surprised to find the quality was back to its previous high standard!!!
Food was excellent, tasty and perfect amount, and good value, the service was friendly & unitrusive. I will definitely be returning (and ordering the odd take away!).

Tony's Tower Fish Bar
4 Tower St, SelkirkFantastic takeaway! Everything was hot and not dripping with oil. Pizzas good and cooked to order. Great selection of items to choose from. Only thing is it can be awkward to get parked (but they do deliver if your local!)
