Only started using you guys in the last month or so but the food is absolutely amazing everything is fresh and hot and very tasty in fact the chicken bbq kebab tonight must be one of the best we have ever had

Priyas Palace

We visited the restaurant as we were in need of a good curry, and we were not disappointed. The freshly made poppadoms and chutney tray was fantastic, full of flavours and freshness. Our Currys were all amazing, with aromatic herbs and chillies, they were very good. Our nan bread was piping hot and tasty, the fluffy rice was cooked to perfection, with just the correct amount of seasoning....but the waiter ( Atul ) think that the spelling...was brilliant , he was the perfect host, attentive, and very knowledgeable... Although the restaurant was very busy with customers and takeaways, you never had to wait for anything..\nDefinitely recommend to try the restaurant..\nOnly my views and comments.....

PK (Greenock)

Collected food from here last night and the girl behind the counter was really pleasant. Told her it was my first time trying PK75 and she looked at me and said ‘I really hope you like it’ - I reassured her that I would and I did! Burgers were fab, so delicious peppercorn sauce was fantastic (just as my friend recommended to me) chips, popcorn chicken (which is actual chicken breast) and onion rings were all spot on and piping hot. Might have waited a bit longer but you can see why there was a queue. Will defo be using again.

Best food you’ll get in Inverclyde. Jim’s been on the go for years and built up a great reputation by just being really really good.

One Bruce Street Bar & Kitchen

A lovely, homely pub grub place that is quickly becoming one of my favourite places.
Excellent food with a good choice of different dishes, today had a chicken toastie and was delicious. Never had a bad meal here so far.
Lovely and pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff.
With it being right near the Greenock west train station its very easy to get to, a nice stop and rest. Highly recommend you visit them for a great meal!

The Cottage Cafe Bistro

Staff were excellent, especially the young girl behind the counter on 16/08, who was extremely helpful.
We had takeaway and the quality, flavour, quantity and price of the food was first class.
Will recommend to our friends when in the area.

Mario’s Italian Fish & Chip Shop

Very nice premises. Food served is really good. Did not wait long for order. Friendly staff. Great and really enjoyed the king rib suppers that we had. Great tasting fritters too.

Lovely place at the heart of the local community with excellent food, delightful staff and a wonderful atmosphere. The cakes and much of the deli produce are all made by hand in store. The owner and her lovely team are very authentically kind and constantly full of new ideas.

Aulds

Many thanks to the lovely friendly team at Aulds in Brisbane Street, Greenock. Myself and my mum were visiting a family member at the nearby hospice. The girls in Aulds always greeted us with a smile and a chat. The food was lovely, but the team was even better! Fiona, Hollie and Ashley, you're an absolute credit to the company!

Mistakes happen, it’s how we fix them that matters. And too often people are fast to complain and never say when things go right. So as a new fan to this place, I want to say thanks. Firstly, the food is absolutely brilliant here. Tasty, fresh, with just the right amount of sauce, non greasy chicken balls and (very rare!) brilliant chips. The food is excellent, in other words. Tonight we waited a long time for delivery (in fairness it’s Saturday, so to be expected) when I called again I was told it was on its way. Unfortunately half an hour later it still wasn’t here so I called again and the nice lady who always answers the phone could be heard in the background trying to figure out what was wrong. Turns out the order went to the wrong place. It happens. But the big success was the apology and the food turning up piping hot within 10 minutes. The guy apologised and waited at the door while we checked the order was complete, which it was. The food was brilliant as usual.
Thanks for admitting a mistake and putting it right, in the best way! ⭐️

Chilli Grill

The North Indian garlic chili chicken Tikka was absolutely delicious!! Still had a kick and the coconut cream gave it a lovely flavour. I totally recommend this dish!! I will be ordering again!

Been here a few times now come to play pool every few Sundays with mates pretty much each time we go we always leave Happy and satisfied even know we are all crap at pool

China Inn

Over all great wee place nice menu. Only thing a bit salty. Would certainly be back. Curry rolls were excellent as was the chicken fried rice. Really good prices too. Friendly staff.

Saba Fastfood

Don't like the chips as they look like reheats most of the time although not chips could be fresher all the other food is good tasteless cheese through and prices not bad and great service

Tail O' The Bank

My husband and I had the most incredible meal at this establishment despite the fact that it was incredibly busy and the staff were definitely limited due to the large capacity in attendance. Our server was a lovely young girl named Sophie, who was incredibly kind and helpful, and definitely played a huge role in the business. She made sure to ask about our plans for the bank holiday and took an interest in our answer. The restaurant is lucky to have her. The food was delicious, as is the case in most Hungry Horse establishments and I would 100% recommend.

Kinleith Mill

Well prepared food, like at home. Chicken braced to perfection, vegetables not over boiled and mashed potatoes ? as they should be. I highly recommend this Pub ?

Fishermans Dock

Excellent Chippy. We had a steak sandwich, fish supper, salt & chilli loaded fries, and Arabbiatta. The steak sandwich was incredible. The steak was cooked to perfection, super tender, perfect for a sandwich. The peppercorn sauce was fresh and bursting with flavour. A very good sandwich. The fish was amazing. The portion was massive, fish was also cooked to perfection and the batter was lovely. Special mention for the tartar sauce, as I'm someone who doesn't like it usually but I loved it here. The chips were great too. The salt & chilli fries were next level. I haven't had anything like it before and they were super unique. Fries were excellent, chicken was tender with a crispy coating, the veg was lovely and the sauces were to die for. Would highly recommend. The arrabiatta was really fresh and the flavours were lovely. There was clearly thought and care put into it. The garlic bread on the side was great too. Lastly, the service was excellent. Staff were so nice and helpful and were great for a chat. Excellent hospitality. Overall, I would recommend this place for everything we tried. A wide variety on the menu from Chippy food, to Italian, to Mexican. Definitely something for everyone. All the food was amazing, cooked to perfection, and too good to stop eating. Special mention to the fact they have an alcohol licence too so you can byob, or choose from their great selection. Thank you to Fishermans Dock for an amazing experience. We will absolutely be back ❤️

Caffe Venice

Ordered lunch to be delivered via the Just Eat app. Ordered chicken mayo toastie, baked potato with tuna mayo, and two lattes. Everything was delicious. It was great being able to see the progress of my order and where the courier was. Delivery was prompt and courier very friendly and polite. Well done to all concerned.

Just got one of the pizza deals 2, 10 inch pizzas large chicken pakora and large chips and bottle of juice which I didn't get but the pizza was delicious and so was the samosas, will definitely be ordering again.

The Pentland Fry

This well-established chippy has been well run by a local family for many years (if not decades). Can't comment on delivery as we always phone in our order and pick up and its always ready in 10-15 minutes. I love their chicken and mushroom pizzas which are more of the deep-pan style, crispy on the outside and well-loaded. Better than Dominos IMO. My son loves their chicken nuggets. They also do chicken kebabs and all the classic chippy fare and sell chilled beer and wine. Some of the negative reviews on here seem a little unfair, especially the guy who got too many chips!

Scotts Bar & Restaurant

Food was lovely, all staff very friendly and helpful- we came in with our baby daughter yesterday and she was shown lots of kindness and attention :) special mention to Grace who went above and beyond! For example she noticed I was caught up with baby getting a bit upset and reheated my chips for me, so thoughtful! Grace was working with another girl who was just as good but unfortunately never caught her name!! Thank you x

The Exchange

Really enjoyed our meal out today at The Exchange. Had Blaggis Spring Rolls and the Lentil Soup for starters. The soup was nice and had a little bit of a kick. Blaggis was as good as ever. Main courses were Steak Pie and the Sunday Roast Dinner. Steak pie was nice and so tender. Beef was good and came with a herby mash and roast potatoes. Both also came with broccoli and carrots which were a little under done for us but that's personal preference.

Just had the shrimp and chicken Tacos and the salt n chilli chicken burger.
Both super tasty, totally found this place by accident but definitely one to come back to!

Well shock horror my son treated me and his gf to lunch for her birthday !! \nI was going to go for the steak pie till she ordered the open steak sandwich and asked for peppercorn sauce instead of the sweet signature sauce !!!! Well that was my order instantly changed !!\n\nWell cooked massive portion everything fresh and tasty, I did struggle to finish mine as my appetite is a lot smaller than it used to be \n\nAverage pricing and a good menu nice location

Home made steak pie was hot, big portions, delicious and great value for money. It was clean, staff were helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back there. Highly recommended.

Visited Greenock on cruise Anthem of the Seas found this little gem of a pub on walking round Greenock, Landlady was very kind and welcoming , toilets immaculate beer excellent Caladonia Best and Tennants on tap, could not believe price of a pint £3.10 Liverpool prices also , compared to Devon and surrounding areas so we are being ripped off in the South of England Memo to self move back to Scotland for a good cheap pint

The Horseshoe Bar

Myself and a mate done a pub crawl around Greenock and in my opinion you serve the best pint of Guinness. The bar staff are brilliant old school barmaids that will take no nonsense, but who will have a laugh with the customers.

Super calm atmosphere inside we had great music playing when we were there and the staff were really friendly. Wasn't that expensive and though we didn't eat any food the food we did see looked really good! Will definitely be back to try it out next time. Highly recommend for a good night out!

Absolute gem of a pub! Saw a few negative reviews regarding a funeral party being turned away, and while I can understand their frustrations, this being Greenock I've lost count of the number of funeral parties in pubs that didn't turn into a mass brawl. Just an unfortunate fact.

I don’t live nearby anymore, but no Chinese where I am now comes close. Every time I’m back in Greenock, I always make sure to get one because their food is just unbeatable. Everything is fresh, tasty, and consistent, you can always rely on it being perfect. The team are so nice, which makes ordering from them such a pleasure. If they could deliver across the whole of Scotland I’d probably have them on speed dial every day. The best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had, and I really miss having them close by. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Had a lovely meal here with my pal recently. Staff were friendly and attentive, we had spring rolls, battered king prawns, then chicken with pineapple and cashew nuts, and chicken satay and rice. All were really tasty, presented well and the satay sauce is still the best I've ever had! Definitely be back.

Coffee Comfort - Greenock

This coffee shop has new owners as of April and they have breathed fresh life into what was already a landmark spot in Greenock. The food is absolutely fantastic but nothing compared to the amazing staff who are always so welcoming and helpful.
The new look inside after the recent refurb is exceptional and it really is a comfortable, cosy and friendly environment to have a coffee and something good to eat. The weekly breakfast specials are always a hit!

Black Cat Bar

Popped in today with my cousin from South Africa. This is a pub that our fathers and grandfather would have drunk in. He wanted to see where his dad came from. We asked the bar tender about the history of the place. She was lovely and informative. She gave my cousin a free pen and bottle opener with the pub logo on. What a lovely touch. Thank you so much.

I’ve always had a great experience with Quincy’s their service is so good it’s a regular place to go for me now can’t recommend enough I’m in there so much they almost know what I’m about to ask for!

Wing Wah

Portions are extremely generous and very good value for money. Very quick turn around, food was ready 5 mins after ordering. In this instance I went for one of the snack boxes - chicken balls, chips, fried rice and curry sauce (also added onions). Extremely tasty and more than enough for 1 person. Maybe a bit too much curry sauce, but just comes down to personal preference. Have had a lot of different things from the menu over the years and have never been disappointed.

I hate how they have 4 staff on and the just leave you standing there waiting but most of worst I overheard the stuff say that they wear going to spit in my drink as a joke not a funny joke for a food hygiene place

Morrisons Cafe

Food is enjoyable, cafe was a bit chilly. Lorna gave 110% service as usual she is non stop with serving customers, cleaning tables, serving food and going and getting stock from shopfloop but still makes time to interact with the customers she is the reason I keep returning puts a smile on your face everytime.

The James Watt

The James Watt Pub in Greenock is located in the old Victorian era post office building that dates from 1899. \n\nThe inside has preserved much of the historic vibe with lots of wooden furnishings, high ceilings and big windows. It has a definite feeling and look of space to spare.\n\nThe James Watt is part of the Wetherspoon chain of properties, which includes pubs and hotels. You can download the app and use it to specify your location and table number so that you can order food and drink.\n\nUnlike the experience with the Hungry Horse app, the Wetherspoon app worked flawlessly. We were quickly able to order food and beverages. My Sweety really enjoys a pint of Guinness Zero.\n\nThe James Watt received more than one visit for dinner while we were staying in the area. Similar to the Tail 'o the Bank pub you fetch your own condiments, cutlery and napkins once the dinner order goes through.\n\nThe dishes we ordered tended towards the pub's strengths. Steak & Ale pudding, Fish & chips plus Bangers & Mash get thumbs up for big, tasty portions. Even the nibbles like Chicken Fingers were good value for the money. \n\nWe did not order any appetizers or dessert. The mains were sufficient to stuff us full every time. The pub also offers smaller portions of favourite dishes. You can get every meal of your day here. From a full breakfast to brunch and dinner. \n\nEverything in Greenock is centrally located. The James Watt was less than a five minute walk from our hotel. We liked it well enough for repeat visits.\n\nWe did encounter a local character with whom we had a nice chat. However, between the beer and the brogue, we might have missed a couple of things. He did show me a poster claiming that the notorious pirate William Kidd was from Greenock.\n\nWe do recommend that you visit the James Watt pub. The building itself provides a huge space and a lot of historical vibes. The food is well portioned and quite tasty. Staff were courteous, polite and cheerful, adding to the overall positive experience.

Great deals on offer , friendly staff . Take my boy every now and then. Was slighty put off today as one of the staff serving was having a right plough through her nostrils ? But they weren't serving us so we lucked out .
