Saros Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant
12 Moat St, BridgnorthWe went to Saros for the first time on Saturday 31st August 2024. Very busy. Starters and main courses were excellent. Had to wait 10-15 minutes for table, but the food and friendly service made up for that. They were also busy with takeaways. Very popular and highly recommended. Will definitely go again. Best to book in advance. No parking, but parking 5 minutes walk away. Hidden gem.

Peepo Pizza
84-85 High St, BridgnorthWe’ve always loved the food here but hadn’t been for a while. We went for a last minute lunch, I was worried they’d stop taking orders by the time we got there so I called ahead to check, the owner answered and kindly said he’d stay open until we arrived. They had some really good lunch time deals on which were too good to miss. The soup which was Tomato & red pepper was the best soup I think I’ve had in my life! The fries were seasoned with I don’t know what, but were out of this world and everything we ordered was just amazing, everything is homemade and the chefs certainly know what they’re doing here. The service was great from the owner himself, who is very friendly. We already can’t wait to visit again soon!

I’m a lorry driver and wound up stuck in Bridgnorth for the night and the lady I spoke to on the phone couldn’t be more helpful in getting food delivered to me.
On top of that they chucked in some cutlery for me incase I didn’t have any!
Food was really nice as well!
I can’t speak highly enough of the service.

W Castle St, BridgnorthPopped in for lunch, 2 60+ years old and 3 twenty somethings, plenty of choice for all tastes and levels of appetite, nicely presented and well cooked. Good service from a friendly member of the team. Close to the castle gardens and the town center. Actually I am beginning to think a 4 star rating might be a bit unfair!

Himalaya Tandoori Restaurant
12 Whitburn St, BridgnorthI used to dine here when I lived in Bridgnorth around 40 years ago and it was great to return when we visited the town on the 16 October 2025. I regularly enjoy Indian / Asian food and this was undoubtedly one of the best Indian meals I have ever had. My three fellow diners also agreed with me. The food just tasted so fresh and the many flavours were wonderful. The owner was very helpful with advice and was very attentive during our meal. I just wish I lived nearer to Bridgnorth so I could visit more often!

The Black Boy Inn
58 Cartway, BridgnorthThis historic inn is my favourite in Bridgnorth. As the only remaining Cartway pub, it is full of character and beautifully maintained. Lots of indoor seating spaces and a lovely decking area at the back overlooking the river Severn.
A great selection of well-kept cask ales available. No hot food, but the hearty cobs (just £3 each in July 2025) are a perfect accompaniment to a couple of pints.

The Winding House Tea Rooms
6 Castle Terrace, BridgnorthLovely little Gem, the owner was very friendly and staff very attentive. Once you go down the winding staircase it opened up into a quirky restful area. The outside does not lend itself to the beautiful area that awaits. May be a catchy window display would help, there is nothing really to grab you to go in. I would definitely recommend a visit 🩷

High Town Grill
5-6 Waterloo Terrace, BridgnorthMy son and I go to Bridgnorth about twice a year and always eat at the Grill. Today we noticed that the chips were even more scrumptious than usual, due, we found out, to a new source of potatoes. The staff are always friendly and efficient and the wait for food to be cooked is short. Always a pleasure to eat there.

THALIO
3A St Johns St, BridgnorthOur first visit here. The decor was very interesting lots of old headgear on the walls. We were there early evening about 6.30 but told we had to leave by 8. Not a problem for us but it may be for some. There were plenty of empty tables which was a surprise as it was their specials night. The food was not your typical Indian food and it took us ages to decide what to have, which I think annoyed the waiter a little. The food was very interesting and we would definitely go back again.
Parking: Keep your parking ticket and the restaurant will refund it when you eat there.
Wheelchair accessibility: Completely flat from carpark into restaurant

Bishop Percy's Tearoom
52 Cartway, BridgnorthWe visited for lunch today and had a lovely experience. The building itself is beautiful, full of charm and character, which really added to the atmosphere. The food was delicious — we chose dishes from the specials board and couldn’t resist finishing with a slice of Victoria sponge, which was excellent! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even more enjoyable.
Looking forward to returning again soon!

Broad Acre Stables, Broad Lanes, BridgnorthA lovely little find courtesy of P, a good friend of mine. We called in on a Friday morning at around 11ish, a quiet and peaceful place in a tranquil setting. Flat white coffees and cake were consumed and I have to say that the Lemon Drizzle and Poppyseed Cake was the BEST! Lovely friendly staff too, good car parking and clean toilets. Recommended.

Graze in Bridgnorth
65 St Marys St, BridgnorthHad lunch here today, and the choice and quality of the burgers and other dishes here were fantastic. \nThe beef burgers they serve put the likes of 5 Guys and Smash burger to shame in both how they taste and how much they cost, and the young lady who served us was very helpful and friendly.\n Excellent range of vegetarian/vegan options, which is a godsend for my partner, and the desert menu and milk shakes are great, too.\n\nHad the chicken and fish burgers in previous visits, and both were delicious. \nHighly recommended \n
