CURRY VILLAGE
5 Jengers Mead, BillingshurstWe were struggling to find a restaurant that did vegan dishes and then thankfully we found Curry Village! They have a great number of options available for vegans. The dishes we ordered were superb, full of flavour and incredibly reasonably priced too. If we were local to the area, we would definitely come back! Thanks for a delicious meal!

Billy's on the Road
Stane St, BillingshurstDiner literally by the side of the road. Always seems busy, however staff seem used to it, not flustered. Amazing variety of food on menu, fantastic variety of breakfasts alone. Very fast service, wonderfully cooked and very fast and very hot. Great atmosphere, everyone chats to each other, good mix of patrons.

Cricketers Arms Public House
Durbans Rd, Wisborough Green, BillingshurstThis pub has been revived by the landlord running and his family. So lovely to have the Cricks working like this - it now feels like a brilliant village pub. I love the variety of drinks they have and their food options on their menu. Their chicken, bacon & mushroom pie was delicious and my family & friends enjoyed the ploughmans platter served on a wooden tray with generous portions. The pub’s seasonal events - Harvest Festival fundraiser and then Halloween included live music and much laughter. I highly recommend this local village pub. It’s worth visiting and enjoying the lovely view of the green with a drink or two!

The Blacksmiths Arms 1010 Restaurant
Stane St, Adversane, BillingshurstI saw someone posted today about the mismanagement of the place. Today was Mothers Day - a day that has always been heaven and hell for local establishments. Great turnover - but utter graft for the staff. At a time when pubs are on their knees, I was delighted to see the Blacksmiths rammed today, even if it was to the detriment of ‘perfection’.
I didn’t catch the ‘clipboard lady’ name - but she deserved a medal. She had that natural hospitality demeanour that made us all feel very welcome even though it was obvious things weren’t going swimmingly. Yes there was a bit of a delay on the table, yes service might have been a tad quicker, but we all had a lovely afternoon, we all enjoyed our food (banging ribeye for me) and we’ll definitely come back. I’ve had far worse meals from big chain pubs that impose set menus on you.

Little Bean Cafe Billingshurst
41 High St, BillingshurstWe were passing through Billingshurst and spotted the cafe in dire need of a tea and a bite to eat.Staff were very welcoming and we both enjoyed the toasted sandwiches.I asked for soya milk for my tea the soya milk was off small lumps floating on the surface. I mentioned this to the server she exchanged milk and a fresh cup and said that she had shaken the milk it seemed to have been put in a frothing machine.It was not at all drinkable,I was offered an alternative but chose water as the safest option.

The Bat and Ball Country Pub and Haywards Restaurant
Newpound Ln, Wisborough Green, BillingshurstMy husband and I were married here last summer and it was the best day of our lives. Caroline, Richard, Harry and the rest of the team were fantastic. Caroline is excellent with communication and there was nothing she couldn’t accommodate. The beef brisket was delicious and the landscape was beautiful. Would definitely recommend and would do it all over again if we could xx thanks guys

The Half Moon, Kirdford
Glasshouse Ln, Kirdford, BillingshurstWe had a very good ‘Indian style ‘ meal at the Half Moon. Service was excellent but you cannot serve a meal of Belly Pork which was 100% fat. Not nice. The rest of the meal was a delight. The issue was resolved and we were offered a reduction via not paying the service charge. We declined it and paid the whole meal and service charge.
In my honest opinion my meal was superb and I throughly enjoyed it but I was not in a traditional pub but a restaurant and bar. Very nice but my visits will be few and far apart because it does not serve Ale. A pub that only serves larger is a bar and not what I am looking for but hopefully I will find one of their advertised evenings attractive and revisit for a meal and be the nominated non drinking driver.
Sorry to be candid but isn’t that the point of any review. If you serve Ale I will return.

Railway Inn
40 Station Rd, BillingshurstThis is my local and has to be the friendliest Pub on the planet. We had Sunday lunch there and the food was excellent. Plenty of veggies all cooked to perfection and generous portions of meat. Entertainment was provided by guitar virtuoso Duncan McKenzie, who was brilliant as always. All in all, a very pleasant Sunday afternoon.

Van der Shnoodle Cakes
Spy Ln, Loxwood, BillingshurstLis has once again created an absolutely amazing cake, this time a gymnast mid walkover on a beam, so clever and an engineering feat! Everyone was blown away by it, especially the birthday girl. Whilst it pained us to cut it, knowing how much time, effort and skill had gone into it, it tasted delicious when we did. The Master Fryer - Billingshurst
12 Jengers Mead, BillingshurstWe had fish and chips for the first time in a few years last Wednesday 6/8/25. They were the best fish and chips i have ever had and my daughter was also very impressed. The cod was moist and delicious and the chips were spot on. The standard in the shop is good and well organized and we will be returning in the near future for the same. Thank you

Fishers Farm Park, Newpound Ln, Wisborough Green, BillingshurstReally enjoyed our food at Saddle Rooms. The service was great despite a busy restaurant, it was nice to have a draft beer, and the food was excellent, especially as it was locally sourced. 10/10 would recommend!

42 High St, BillingshurstMy friend and I often choose to hit here late sundays... the staff are always welcoming and efficient... this evening I ordered the lal maas(i think that was what it was called) it was amazing! Even though I was prewarned it was spicy it had the perfect amount of spice. Possibly my new favorite dish!

The Six Bells
76 High St, BillingshurstHad the mixed grill which was absolutely delicious I can still taste it. Very friendly bar staff especially Joan who made us feel very welcome. Wines fresh and kept at correct temperature and very reasonably priced compared to others. Great bunch of locals who were very friendly. Going to try their Sunday roasts which I hear are sumptuous.
