The food was excellent/ the South African lady who served us was really helpful - we had a lovely time even though the pub was busy. We held an 18th birthday party in the marquee at the back of the pub and the landlord and his staff pulled out all the stops to make it a fantastic night. The party lighting in the marquee was spot on, drinks were ordered and delivered on demand into the marquee, the Chinese buffet was great, and there was a cocktail bar just outside the marquee. This is indeed Marlow’s hidden gem!

The Ship, 23 West St, MarlowMyself and my partner are regulars (when we can) and we love this pub! The staff are always friendly and efficient. The pizzas are some of the best we've ever had, proper wood fire and fresh from the oven. We can't get enough of them! When it's warm outside, the open space is lovely to sit in. In the colder months, they light the fire and it's so warm and cosy. It's easily the best place to go in Marlow, in our humble opinion.

The food was truly delicious. The sandwich was perfect, and the burger was delicious. The restrooms need some attention, but they are absolutely clean. If I lived nearby, I would come here weekly. A nice stop before we took the shuttle.

Unit B, Meter House, Fieldhouse Ln, MarlowBest takeaway I’ve ever had and has been so for a very long time. Food quality is excellent and the flavours magnificent. Saajid will cook to your taste and I often have lamb bhoona “slightly hot” and it is wondrous. Lamb meat quality is exceptional which often is not the case in other restaurants or takeaways. I can heartily recommend the onion bhajis, naans and rice quality. Chicken madras and korai chicken are two more of my favourites in a great variety. I use it weekly it’s that good.

> Booked for 7:30pm on Saturday but weren’t seated until 8pm due to how busy it was, and we saw several people leave while waiting. We were first seated by the front door, which wasn’t great, and the restaurant was packed with Deliveroo collections and queues out the door. Starters arrived over an hour after we got there and mains nearly two hours in. Staff were doing their best, but the restaurant was clearly overbooked.

41 West St, MarlowStarting from the beginning, service was very formal almost to a flaw. The seating at the table a bit crushed. Poppadoms were ok but I was not so keen on the accompaniments, the salad in particular was cut coarser than usual and contained carrot. Then things took a massive upturn with the special lamb shank which on first view was certainly a wow factor plateful. A massive piece of lamb shank from which the bone just pulled out so easily. The lamb was tender, sauce was beautiful and roast spuds tasted great but not as hot as I would have liked, rice and greens were included and both were great. Plenty left over to take out and eat the following day! My partner had the lamb chops which passed muster.

A few folk walked in to room and had to be told it was a private function. But a great venue for 20/30 guests.

The salad was fresh and crisp, and the Italian meat and cheese selection was hard to beat. 31 West St, MarlowWe had the seven-course tasting menu and I swapped the mushroom risotto for a tomato dish. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. The scallops were delicious and paired perfectly with the romesco sauce. The duck was tender with just the right amount of juicy fat.
A couple of small downsides were the bread, which tasted a bit like airplane bread, and the desserts, which were a little too sweet for my liking.
Overall, it was a great meal, and everyone really enjoyed it. Good value for the price and I’ll definitely be back!

I ordered it for 7.15 and it was ready to collect - No queuing\n- Generous portions. My wife had haddock and I had cod; both delicious - beautifully prepared in a crisp batter. More chips than we needed - we may have a single portion between us next time - which will be very soon!

Great portion size for this quality of restaurant, and you can order Steak and Chips with a crème Brulee for desert.
Food was just wonderful and with service to match, not sure how you can have a better experience.
