Bombay Lounge | Indian Restaurant & Takeaway In Winsford, UK
183 Wharton Rd, WinsfordVisiting the area from Kent to attend Oulton Park for the BTCC and checked out reviews for an Asian restaurant in the area. Bombay Lounge reviews looked good, and we were not disappointed. The area itself doesn't seem the best, but everyone we met with was fine. The service was very polite and friendly and the food was excellent quality. The chicken was buttery soft, and the spicing and sauces were well balanced, so we couldn't be happier. If we were to be picky, the only elements of our food we didn't like were the onion pot and lime pickle for the poppadoms. We were used to these being cold and crunchy, but we found these 2 elements warm and soft for some reason. We did speak to the staff, and he explained that Chef puts a small amount of a sauce of some kind in the onion chutney. To us it was a minor issue and the other 3 accompaniments for poppadoms were great, especially the green spicy one, this we have never seen before and loved it, we should have asked what it was, it looked like mint sauce but I assume was coriander as it was so vibrant.

78 High St, WinsfordStopped in for a takeaway.The service was very good, friendly, and as quick as you could expect.The atmosphere, was good, however there were a couple of tables which were certainly on the loud side, making it harder than it needs to be to have a conversation, but hey it’s party season, it’s going to happen.

The Gate Inn
Delamere St, WinsfordWe booked three afternoon teas however we were unable to make it when the day came. Staff very kindly boxed up all the food so that we could collect it and bring it home. It was absolutely brilliant. Such lovely produce, nice and fresh, loads of choice, it was presented beautifully and as for value, amazing. If you're looking for afternoon tea you will not be disappointed with The Gate Inn. Thank you to all the team. We loved it xx ???

Truly amazing food, fast friendly service, all dishes served together made for a great evening! BYO drinks is a bit of a plus too. We will be back before returning to Australia without a doubt!!

The Village Restaurant & Coffee Bar
Blakemere Village, Chester RdWent as a large group of 18 seniors at beginning of summer holidays for lunch.. We all had a set two course menu of a roast and apple crumble. Couldn’t fault food and service. Food was tasty, hot, and plentiful. A shout out for Lottie our waitress who was brilliant and understood that some people had special requests. We will be back again.

63 Delamere St, WinsfordI am this pubs favourite customer , Nicola is the landlady and every time I come in she has such lovely things to say to me , oftentimes when she isn’t here other patrons of this fine establishment often say to me things such as “ oh Nicola was asking about you “ , “Nicola was talking about you yesterday” it’s nice to attend my local pub and receive the VIP treatment that I deserve . Oftentimes just pulling into the car park my £3.80 pint of carling is already waiting for me at the bar when I enter . It’s the type of service I expect and appreciate . It’s also appreciated that all the bar ladies faces light up when I enter , especially then bar manager Toni , she has told me on a number of occasions that her shift is so much better when I come in , her boyfriend is my best friend so I’m not sure if she says that because she’s my second best friend by proxy or if she genuinely means it , I think she does mean it though because I am a top guy that much is quite obvious . But enough talking about myself , this is a really good pub , everybody’s dead friendly , huge beer garden for the kids with swings and slides , always have lots of events on and stuff and the regulars , myself mainly are absolutely sound . Great local boozer , especially when I’m in
