I have a treasured picture of myself with Paul which he was so generous to pose for even though the restaurant was busy. We look forward to visiting again soon such a very special place!! Caffè Rojano by Paul Ainsworth
9 Mill Square, PadstowThis was our first time in Padstow for 35years. We called in to Cafe Rojano after a long drive down from Lincolnshire. When we arrived the staff made us very welcome, it was a Thursday evening so not too busy. We had a few very large green olive followed by two pasta dishes, one with spicy pork, one with chicken, both were excellent and very tasty.
I passed compliments to the chef, who I was told is a chap called Paul Ainsworth, meant nothing to me but he certainly can cook. We will definitely go there again. I would highly recommend Paul’s restaurant.

1A The Strand, PadstowCame for an early lunch on August bank holiday monday. We were the only people in there. Food was very nice. Cornish muscles were particularly good. As was the octopus. Small mistake on the bill was fixed without fuss when I pointed it out which was a good note on the already good service.

Beautiful setting and nice atmosphere friendly, professional staff and wonderful food. Not a huge menu, but delicious and beautifully presented. Lots of tables and not too close, busy but not full on the night i was there. Their take on a Pina Colada was both surprising and delicious.

The Lobster Shed

Pricing feels steep for what you get. For example, the mac 'n' cheese advertised as a sharing side for two was £12, but looked more like a single portion you'd get elsewhere. Nice setting, but the value just isn’t there.

Rest A While Tea Garden (Open from Easter to October)
7 Coastguard Houses, Hawkers Cove, PadstowThroughly enjoyed visiting here last week, lovely relaxed setting and umbrellas offered if raining! Just a fun little pit stop for a cream tea, will be back. Also staying on Polzeath was nice to view Polzeath from a different angle ? worth following on Facebook for daily updates too!

10 Middle St, PadstowWe ate in the café. My partner has an allergy to molluscs and the staff worked exceptionally hard to accommodate her needs. Menu items were explained and checked with the kitchen staff, who then cleaned down before cooking each dish to avoid any contamination. Otherwise, the service was extremely good. Each dish has clearly been devised by extremely capable people - the spicing was perfect and some of the dishes were exceptional - the salt and pepper prawns, the Pondicherry curry and, amazingly the sticky toffee pudding. I never thought I'd be surprised by a sticky toffee pudding, but it was great. The price for all this was reasonable, to say the least. Try this place - it's no ordinary café!

S Quay, PadstowWe had an excellent short break here in March.
The location is fabulous, right on the harbour side in this lovely old fishing town.
Our room was excellent, overlooking the harbour and had all the facilities you need which all worked. It is an old building so most of the rooms are up many stairs, so not ideal for people with mobility issues.
The staff were all efficient and friendly.
Our dinner on the first night was good and excellent value (pie and pint for £15!).
As always at St Austell Inns the breakfast was outstanding ??!
We used the 2 for 1 offer which made it incredible value. We will definitely return despite fact that there is no parking on site (paid parking opposite?).
The new summer menu is really good ?.

This was the best pizza I have had outside of Italy. Absolutely worth a visit. If you think you’ve had great pizza before then try the Dog House. Thanks Dog House team. A great business ?

Ivy House Restaurant Padstow
St Merryn, PadstowMy wife and visited this beautiful restaurant in a lovely, fairly secluded setting just outside the village of St Merryn, for a birthday treat. There is ample parking to the side of this quaint property and offers the possibility of sitting in their lovely garden on summer evenings.
The décor is lovely in a French style with cosy seating. We visited on a Monday, out of season, and whilst it wasn't busy I would strongly recommend booking during more popular times.
The service was lovely and friendly too with a menu very much to our liking. We chose the squid with aioli and the tempura salmon for starters, the hake and sole for main courses, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge for desserts.
The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We shall not be waiting for more birthdays before visiting this gem of a restaurant again. Please note that it closes for the winter.

After an unlikely drive up a windy lane to the Pickwick, we were blown away by the stunning views from their light & airy dining room over the Padstow estuary. This place is tucked away and well worth a visit. Excellent warm welcome from Beverley, we enjoyed delicious roast dinners (one lamb, one beef) - quality of all of the ingredients was superb - and home made puddings (rice pudding, sticky toffee). Lovely atmosphere and oh, the view! Even got a full rainbow at one point. Lovely, special place. Go!

The Drang, PadstowFound this pretty little bar whilst walking around Padstow. Perfect little location, tucked away from the main road, but just right so you can see the harbour and the sea. Service was extremely friendly and warm right from the start. My girlfriend and I had two Iced Lattes, which were absolutly delicious. 100% recommend this little place.

Snappy Crab Seafood
2 N Quay Parade, PadstowHi all, this is a very delayed review, but here it is. I am a coach driver that was visiting Padstow with a group of people. Whilst walking, noticed this fresh seafood ? stall. As I love seafood I spoke to the lovely ladies serving, got chatting, as ya do, they gave me a free pot of seafood in exchange for some publicity. I felt that I could oblige. So here it is, and thank you lovely ladies for the bootiful food.
The seafood was so good I went back and bought a lovely prawn salad ? ?
Absolutely delicious, I look forward to returning to Padstow and the Snappy Crab ?
So drivers out there who like seafood, get ya claws on some lovely fresh food from the sea in exchange for some publicity and getting the name out there. THE SNAPPY CRAB, PADSTOW.

The Old Mill House
Little Petherick, PadstowIf I could rate this a 10* I would.
Firstly the service was fantastic, as a family run business it is so clear that they are passionate about making each persons stay special and consistently go the extra mile.
The food we were served was impeccable, steak night was well worth the money, the intimate dining experience was so romantic and the hosts couldnt do enough for us.
Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice and Debbie always so helpful and friendly.
The rooms were huge, beautifully presented and the beds were so comfortable.
Outside was stunning, you can sit by the brook and listen to the birds, watch the stream and it was so peaceful.
The bus to Padstow comes directly outside and takes 10 minuites, from Padstow theres many other buses to different places.
We will definetly be going back, the staff service was above and beyond, it really made the difference to us. We felt so well looked after and valued.
