A huge thank you to the team for the thoughtful birthday touches, which made the celebration feel extra special. The sommelier’s wine knowledge was exceptional, with perfect pairings that enhanced every dish.
Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring from start to finish. A memorable experience in every way—we can’t wait to return.

Caffè Rojano by Paul Ainsworth
9 Mill Square, PadstowI've been following Paul A. on social media and I enjoy some of his recipes at home. This is probably why the expectations were high. The setting is good but in a day when all of Padstow's restaurants were full it felt quite empty. The food was good and quite good value for the price. We had the arancini which were actually phenomenal, however, when it came to the mains something felt off. We had a pizza which was 'okay' and the crab and prawn bucatini (pasta) which had good balance of flavours but felt a bit too oily and somehow it felt the bucatini are not the right pasta vessel for this type of dish. The disappointing thing was the service - although the place was almost empty everything felt slow, we waited at least 20 min just to get the bill.

1A The Strand, PadstowCame for an early lunch on August bank holiday monday. We were the only people in there. Food was very nice. Cornish muscles were particularly good. As was the octopus. Small mistake on the bill was fixed without fuss when I pointed it out which was a good note on the already good service.

Beautiful setting and nice atmosphere friendly, professional staff and wonderful food. Not a huge menu, but delicious and beautifully presented. Lots of tables and not too close, busy but not full on the night i was there. Their take on a Pina Colada was both surprising and delicious.

Pricing feels steep for what you get. For example, the mac 'n' cheese advertised as a sharing side for two was £12, but looked more like a single portion you'd get elsewhere. Nice setting, but the value just isn’t there.

7 Coastguard Houses, Hawkers Cove, PadstowThroughly enjoyed visiting here last week, lovely relaxed setting and umbrellas offered if raining! Just a fun little pit stop for a cream tea, will be back. Also staying on Polzeath was nice to view Polzeath from a different angle ? worth following on Facebook for daily updates too!

2A Mill Square, PadstowA must for vegans in Padstow! They boast two fantastic vegan pasties! One curried chickpea and onion bahji which was a perfect warmer for a drizzly day. And a root vegetable pasty, which had potato, beetroot, swede (I think), and a great Herby sauce. All in perfectly baked pastry. They also do a vegan raspberry croissant for those with a sweeter tooth. And alternative milks are available for coffees ??

10 Middle St, PadstowI was suprised by my partner with a birthday meal and further suprised by family and friends who had contacted the restaurant and paid for cocktails and champagne. I have was impressesed with the ease that all the elements where dealt with and last but not least out waitress Daisy was amazing she gave us great recommendations, down to earth and politely laughed without being rude at my partner wearing his mother's glasses. See you at 3 ?.

Unit 1 S Quay, PadstowWe had the hake, haddock and chips. A large portion of chips was enough for us both to share. Food was great. As we had our dog, we did takeaway and sat on the benches behind the building. Not the most scenic spot but relatively quiet on a busy day, and nicely shaded.

This was the best pizza I have had outside of Italy. Absolutely worth a visit. If you think you’ve had great pizza before then try the Dog House. Thanks Dog House team. A great business ?

Ivy House Restaurant Padstow
St Merryn, PadstowMy wife and visited this beautiful restaurant in a lovely, fairly secluded setting just outside the village of St Merryn, for a birthday treat. There is ample parking to the side of this quaint property and offers the possibility of sitting in their lovely garden on summer evenings.
The décor is lovely in a French style with cosy seating. We visited on a Monday, out of season, and whilst it wasn't busy I would strongly recommend booking during more popular times.
The service was lovely and friendly too with a menu very much to our liking. We chose the squid with aioli and the tempura salmon for starters, the hake and sole for main courses, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge for desserts.
The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We shall not be waiting for more birthdays before visiting this gem of a restaurant again. Please note that it closes for the winter.

Bar and restaurant food is great and the service is friendly.
Dogs are welcomed in the huge front and rear beer gardens and also the bar area.

The Drang, PadstowFound this pretty little bar whilst walking around Padstow. Perfect little location, tucked away from the main road, but just right so you can see the harbour and the sea. Service was extremely friendly and warm right from the start. My girlfriend and I had two Iced Lattes, which were absolutly delicious. 100% recommend this little place.

9 S Quay, PadstowWas seated after a short wait in the bar, beautiful table at looking out over the harbour. Staff was very attentive gave a personal touch.
Food was stunning, I have multiple allergies including gluten, onion and garlic and this was no concern for the staff and the chef.
Absolutely wonderful dinner experience and will definitely be back again!

The Cornish Arms
Churchtown, PadstowRick's Cheesecake is one off the reasons I regularly visit his eateries. Today I lunched here once again the starter's and mains were really delicious. But cheese cake in a jar!!! You have to be joking? Remember this was on the menu there just after Covid, do we have another problem looming?
Have booked the main restaurant on Sunday and the cafe next Thursday and Friday back here for lunch.
Please say you have the real thing available.

Little Petherick, PadstowCame by on spec after seeing the photos and menu. Despite not having made a reservation (naively thinking I could just turn up), they bent over backwards to make my meal perfect. Not cheap but not overpriced as the food was delicious and impeccably presented. Added bonus was the “Sunshine” cider from Padstow. Champagne yeast, dry , complex delicious flavours. Shame not widely available. Lovely outdoor seating area and atmospheric indoor restaurant area. Not commented on room as did not stay but large area outside for residents with swinging chairs by the river. Idyllic.
