Ashill Inn
Ashill, CullomptonMum and I had another delightful lunch at The Ashill Inn today, possibly one of the best yet.
I opted for the beef brisket while Mum chose the steak and ale pie. Both dishes were simply superb. The brisket was incredibly tender and bursting with deep, rich flavour. The pie was everything you could want: generous comforting and packed with perfectly cooked beef in a hearty gravy. The vegetables were also a highlight, fresh vibrant and cooked just right.
Mum paired her meal with a lovely Chardonnay and I enjoyed my favourite Dartmoor Legend ale, which never disappoints.
The desserts were equally impressive. Mum’s Eton Mess looked stunning and she savoured every mouthful. I had the cheesecake, which was rich creamy and the perfect way to finish.
Andy is a fantastic chef and The Ashill Inn consistently delivers exceptional food. You always know you’re going to have a great meal. The friendly staff, familiar faces and welcoming clientele add to the overall experience and make it easy to see why we keep returning.

Westcott, CullomptonCountry pub with friendly atmosphere, parking, lovely home cooked fare -huge portions and great service with very reasonable prices. Ate here for two consecutive days of our holidays and would recommend booking via phone as it gets busy at times.

When you ask for Earl Grey and find 2 tea bags in your pot, (not the usual one bag, which often produces a weak/flavourless drink), it's clear that this is a cafe that really cares about the food it serves. We loved the biscoff blondie too. The breakfast baps with sausages and bacon were delicious. Couldn't fault anything and hope to detour soon from the M5 for our next breakfast. Thank you.

Uffculme, Waterloo Cross, CullomptonI went there with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. We manage to get nice secluded table, otherwise it could be quite difficult to talk. It was fairly busy. The service was nice, food was great and the expected prices. We see some things that we would definitely woudl like to try, so we will go back there again for sure. The interior of the place is something that could be definitely improved. All in all it was positive experience.

When I went to collect my order there was a man being quite rude to the girl and interrupted her surving me and I must say she handled it very well, she remained calm, collected and polite towards him despite his behaviour.

Saw these guys parked up at bishops Taunton tonight so pulled over on the off chance for a take away pizza they were more than happy to help me out with a custom meat feast pizza and I don’t know what more I can say thank it’s the the best pizza I’ve eaten eaten from a van yet!! The Bell inn

Outside look of the hotel is a little corporate but inside the lounge, bar and restaurant are really nice spaces. I had the spicy meatballs to start, very tasty, very filling and fresh. Cheeseboard was delicious and good value for money, as was the Shiraz! Waiting staff all pleasant, efficient and friendly.

I'm paid fairly according to the hours I work, so they're extraordinary people. We have longer or shorter days depending on the orders but they were well organized by the management and every day is an environment. So yes, I strongly recommend this workplace.

The food is consistently excellent and we are never disappointed. 20 High St, CullomptonHonestly this is the best Chinese around!! It’s out of the way for us as we live one town over. But it’s THE best Chinese! We’ve been going here for years for our friday takeaways and I don’t know why I’ve never left a review! Big lovely portions, homemade tofu & veg is absolutely amazing for any of the veggies out there. Chicken is fantastic. Also there chips are the best chips I’ve ever had in my life, (it sounds silly cuz they are just chips) but they are just out of this world tasty! Highly recommend!! Best Chinese in the UK!!
