The Calancombe Estate Nr Modbury SouthStunning viewing around the vineyard followed by a very informative talk on the wine making process here at Calancombe, looking at all of the equipment needed. This then led us to a charcuterie lunch with a fabulous tasting of a range of their wines, ciders, and blackcurrant Crème de Cassis. A very enjoyable afternoon birthday surprise.

Plymouth Rd, Avonwick, South BrentHad a delicious meal of home made chips and crab cakes with a side salad. My hubby had home made pie and chips also was the best. Friendly staff . Lovely quirky pub. Will definitely be going back there.

The Rattery Church House Inn
Rattery, South BrentThis is the third summer we’ve eaten here. Amazing innovative food. They combine flavours in totally unexpected ways to create incredible meals. One of our group had food allergies and they met us with suggestions of what she could eat, and were able to adapt dishes by creating new sauces etc where needed. Often she ends up having the dishes with no sauce, but not here! Everything we ate was unforgettable. Thank you. We’ll be back.
