Popped in with the rest of the gang to celebrate my birthday without a booking. From the outset the staff could not have been more attentive. The food was excellent and this is high praise with two picky children in tow. Shout out to Neli who saw that it was my birthday and presented my desert with a candle in it as well as a group rendition of Happy Birthday.
This was my first time in a Bills and I will certainly be back.

We abandoned the queue of new Dishoom in London because the waiting time was estimated 90 mn so we decided to be back Richmond for a better experience but our dinner last almost 3 hours as there was a lack of staff in kitchen!!! Not correct to fill up the restaurant if you don’t have the staff to follow. Other than that, food is excellent, ambience as well and great service with many “so sorry” that doesn’t solve the problem

Magda, Lily and James were all very friendly and provided great service. They were super helpful and were quick and efficient when delivering food and making drinks. Noah in the kitchen made a delicious cheese and bacon burger ensuring all personal modifications I had were met. Food was made and delivered quickly and tasted very nice - would reorder in the future. They also checked if for any necessary dietary requirements. It was busy and had a good atmosphere and I felt comfortable eating alone. I had a very good experience!

Booked for lunch with friends before visiting Kew Gardens. Although one of the menu options wasn't available the alternative was, I'm told, excellent, as was my choice. The waiter, Bav, was friendly and professional and checked back with us.
After our main course I asked where the Ladies was, not only did Bav direct me to the upstairs facilities, but also commented that he noticed I'd been using a stick when I arrived and gave me the location of the accessible toilet as well. He made no assumptions about my ability, just made sure I had the choice. Excellent customer service!!

Visited for a drink - twice in one day. The staff were friendly in general and especially helpful ref. the local geography. The pub was ultra clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was was very convivial and positive. The beer was good - real ale and Guinness, We did not have any food - though, on the menu, it did seem reasonably priced.

I have eaten sushi all over the world, including Japan and mostly major USA cities at some of the best places-this was the best sushi I have ever eaten, hands down. The place is very small (japan style) low ceiling, one chef...just incredible taste and texture. We went early, about 4:15pm for dinner, took a chance and glad we did. No alcohol here either FYI. I forget the total bill for two of us but since I am on holiday I wasn't checking and I expected it to be more in the pricey town of Richmond, but we ate enough for 4 people and I think less than 60 pounds. My god it was good!!!

Dinner was very tasty, ordered the orange duck, pork belly and salmon, all very good but the duck was the best. Nice wine selection and the chocolate fondant was great. Creme brulee was tasty but perhaps a bit runny.
The man serving us was fantastic, however at the end of our meal, when he had left at the end of his shift, we ended up waiting 10 minutes for payment after getting the bill.

Chez Lindsay is an absolutely superb restaurant. Lindsay is the dedicated, long-standing owner who ensures that the food and service is of an exceptionally high standard. The dishes are presented innovatively and are extremely good value for money.

The soups are out of this world, as are the delicious juicy steaks, wonderful fish and seafood, and fantastic galettes and crepes. In fact it’s really hard to choose between so many fabulous dishes.

The wine list is reasonably priced and has a great choice.

Although I don’t eat desserts myself, my dining companions couldn’t stop raving about the crumble and custard and the crepes.

The staff are delightful. Samantha and Cedric bring a wonderful authentic French feel to this brilliant Richmond restaurant. It’s a great place for lunch or dinner.

The pie was the best pub pie I've had in ages. Ok so its a small bowl wit filling and pastry on top, not a full pie, but the filling is generous, meaty, delicious, succulent and gorgeous. The cabbage alongside was perfectly cooked.

Another fantastic meal in a relaxed ambience. Between us the five of us ordered a range of different starter, mains and desserts. We were all very happy with the taste and food quality.

All the food is cooked freshly to order and the desserts are all homemade. That is impressive, given the variety of food on the menu. Sarbast and Camila took our orders and served our food and drinks. They were friendly and efficient.

Booking was easy via the website.

When we saw this beautiful city featured on Ted Lasso it made us smile, and we decided to spend a day here when we were in London. Went to The White Cross for lunch and enjoyed it. Was it the best pub lunch we have had? No, but we enjoyed it. I had the Cumberland Sausage and it was ok but not as flavorful as Mother Mash.

We had an absolutely fantastic Saturday evening at Chatora in Richmond — a true gem for anyone who loves modern Indian cuisine with authentic flavors. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable — friendly, attentive, but never intrusive.

The highlight of our dinner was undoubtedly the Chatora Dal and Paneer Mutter. The dal was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced — you could tell it had been slow-cooked with love and care. It’s comfort food at its finest, but with a refined touch. The Paneer Mutter was equally delightful — soft, fresh paneer in a beautifully balanced tomato-based sauce, with just the right kick of spice and sweetness from the peas. Both dishes were packed with depth and flavor, making them the standouts of the night.

We paired our meal with naan fresh from the tandoor and a side of saffron rice — everything was cooked to perfection. The balance between tradition and creativity at Chatora is truly impressive.

Could not have been more impressed. Took an elderly relative for a post Christmas lunch. Firstly they moved us to a quieter table, the food was delicious and the service impeccable. We were absolutely dumbfounded that, when we came to leave, the door near us was unlocked to save walking through the busy restaurant and our relative was helped down the stairs by another member of staff. Amazing! We will be back!!

We booked the inside cabin for our daughter’s wedding lunch. Communication prior to the day was good primarily by email. We sent in a pre order as requested from the lunch menu. We had two last minute cancellations which were no problem.

All the staff, particularly our waitress Jil were wonderful. Compliments to the Kitchen for the food it was tasty, beautifully presented and arrived hot!
We weren’t rushed and greatly appreciated having the downstairs to ourselves.

Came up here for the umpah band not knowing what to expect. We arrived early in the afternoon the day before in our fabulous VW T6 we hired. The drive up to this beautiful place is mind blowing. We parked in one of the many spaces provided and entered this magical place. A quaint little bar area was our first stop then we explored the many cosy rooms. Seeting is plentiful but if you plan to eat i would definitely book. This magical place gets extremely busy. Great choice of beverage, the Tan hill pilsner was one of my personal choices. Fridays entertainment came in the form of an amazing irish band, we couldn't get tickets for this but i managed to have a peep. They sounded amazing. After quite a few drinks we hit the hay in prep for the following day. We had a table booked at 3pm but entered early, we tried our luck getting seated early but ended up having great banter with Craig the lovely giant. He couldn’t seat us at this point but did as soon as possible. I ordered the 10oz sirlion, friends ordered fish n chips, pie and a beef dinner with giant Yorkshire pudding. Be warned food portions are huge and great value. Staff here are lovely. Its a really great place to meet new friends too. At half seven we entered the huge room housing the umpah band. This room was cosy with xmas decor all over. We didnt think our weekend could get any better, at this point the band started. Amazing, warm and great fun. We're definitely gonna return.

A nice French restaurant hidden away down Finkle street in God's country ( Richmond ) we was greeted and seated with a smile. Was asked if we would like water to start with and given the menu. We ordered our drinks and then our food . We ordered the salmon and the Venison which was remarkably delicious. The salmon came with a lemon caper sauce and new potatoes which were sautéed. The venison was medium rare with smashed potato and a Jus . All the way through service we had a smile .

It’s a beautiful family-run restaurant with such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You can really feel the care and passion behind everything they do.

We also celebrated our pre-wedding dinner here with 30 guests, and it was simply amazing. The organisation, the food, the service - everything was just perfect. All of our guests were happy and impressed.

Stein’s is the go-to for Bavarian food in London. I’m half German and the dishes they offer feel quite similar to food in Bavaria.

Note that, Stein’s is generally very expensive considering it’s mostly sausages and some potatoe/bread sides. However, I think they do deliver quite well so it’s worth it for a visit.

I’ve tried Stein’s in Kingston, Richmond, and South Kensington branches and I think Richmond has the least attractive atmosphere compared to the other two. I think South Kensington is probably the best one. Note that, there is only outdoor seating and even though they have outdoor heating lamps, it can still deel cold.

We visited Zizzi Richmond with our family on Sunday evening, and it was such a lovely experience! The Pollo dell Casa was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and full of flavor.

Called in for an evening meal, 2 adults with a dog. Good selection of meals and drinks on offer, we decided on the 2 for £22 offer from the classics selection, both chose fish and chips, food arrived piping hot, no complaints, finished off with a pint of Madri, cup of tea and a couple of cocktails which are on offer 2 for £12. Staff were friendly and polite, plenty of room between tables, overall a good value for money meal and drinks in a lovely traditional bar, would definately recommend calling in if your visiting Richmond.

The place was clean, and tidy.

Located near the barrier of Richmond station (you need to enter the station or tap-in).

I liked the beef roll, very fresh, and warm.

Beef and vegetables was delicious, chicken bake not too much because of the sauce inside. Nice cappuccino and decent prices in general. 5.65£ for all.

Wonderful hotel and pub. Great location. We stayed here the last couple nights of our vacation because of the Ted Lasso thing and also close to Heathrow for the trip home. Great area!

Nearby activities: If you are a Ted Lasso fan you’ll want to stay here a couple days.

Safety: Always felt safe out on the streets even at night.

Walkability: Great area to walk.

Food and drinks: Pubs with great food. Waitrose grocery store is a five minute walk. The nicest grocery store I’ve ever been in.

Visited for our first plated roast since their winter switch from carvery. As lovers of their carvery (the best carvery around) we were a little anxious to see how the plated version faired. Especially as I'm not a lover of a plated roast while dining out. However, I'll eat my words. This was top notch. Very ample servings of veg came alongside the plated meat, yorkshire pud and potatoes (mash and roasts). Veg was as much as you wanted, but the serving provided was sufficient as it was, so didnt need to ask for more. Lashings of gravy, a jug was provided alongside a decent amount on the plate too. Can never have too much gravy with a roast so this touch was a winner for me! The meat choices in early Jan were pheasant, turkey or beef. Really good to have the pheasant option and will try that if its on when we go again.

Whats more, had room left to have a pudding...which the chocolate naughty cake went down a treat!

Will definitely return for the roast, just sorry hadn't been able to sample it sooner!

Black Bull is my preference for eating in the village, and is the best for a roast too.
