Norton Rd, BaldockWe held our mothers celebration of life here recently. Could not have been happier with the service we received , from the initial conversation with Rob to the actual day. They provided a screen so a photo reel could be shown, created a playlist with all the music we requested, had teas and coffee ready when we arrived and provided a lovely buffet, and even provided foil for us to take anything not eaten home with us . Excellent service, made a difficult day so much easier , thank you

Junction 10, A1(M), BaldockMy mum loves this place and whenever she comes from Pakistan she makes me come here always. Its halal too as they dont add bear or any animal fat. Best branch i have ever been too. Clean and fresh

1B Hitchin St, BaldockThere’s a few Indian takeaways or restaurants around this area but this place seems to have the best quality it seems to be a cut above the rest, not taking away from the others local but this place has the best flavours and dishes are served with that extra punch. And thanks to jay for looking after me with getting the best options and value. Would recommend

Lovely staff delicious food and quick service, you can't go wrongRhian and Ally serving today and they were particularly goodParking: Services parking free for 2hrs and paid after that, electric charging is available near the exit of the parking area. It is also shared with the hotel on the other side of the servicesWheelchair accessibility: The entire services are on one single floor with ramps up on to curbs, disabled parking is also located right out the front of the main building for ease of access.

6 Whitehorse St, BaldockSuper friendly and attentive staff, excellent food, and really great value for money. I travel with work a lot and often eat in Indian restaurants. I almost always have my favourite, a dansak, so it's easy for me to compare between restaurants. It is quite rare for me to find a 5 star dansak, but the Chilli Lounge was one of them. Highly recommend, especially with the lovely staff, thanks

We went for an anniversary dinner and were so impressed with everything.
Every dish was amazing (beef cheeks, venison, hispi cabbage, padron peppers, focaccia, beetroot, malt ice cream and pear ice cream) with special mention for the beetroot Textures dish. Wow! This looked impressive and tasted even better!
We will be back!

46 High St, BaldockPopped in after a big day at Duxford American day airshow...at 8.30pm. Ordered the Tom Kha chicken soup and a pint of Baldock. The staff were friendly and efficient. The soup was a meal in itself...large, hot and served quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, washed down with a local ale. Then relaxed in the cool of the beer garden as the sun went down.

Templars Cross Lodge
North Rd, BaldockThis is now our second stay at Templars Cross Lodge in Baldock. We came across it by accident as a last minute stay for work we are doing in London and Cambridge, and to be honest, were quite dubious as to the consistently high ratings of every single review on TripAdvisor - but we can report they are 100% true! Sally's lodge is a perfect place to stay! It is super clean and very comfortable. If you are travelling by car, then parking is right by your room, and the station is an easy short walk. The best way to describe Sally is that she is on it! She clearly wants you to have a the best stay possible and although the accommodation is very private, she makes it clear that she is on hand (and we can testify to that with her sorting out a little alarm problem on the evening of our first stay without a quibble). What made it stand out for us is that even if you are travelling for work or for family (as I guess many people may be who stop off in Baldock) it feels like a little treat! A lovely comfy bed, super breakfast, treats and drinks all ready for you in the fridge and little breakfast cupboard, soft fluffy towels, lovely bath products and a real sense that there is no skimping, like you always hope it might be (but sadly we find often isn't). Ten out of ten from us. Book (but please not on the days we need to stay! ?).

Bombay Bistro Restaurant
8 Bell Row, BaldockOne of the best curries I have had in a long time! I'll absolutely be coming back very soon. I always have a madras, and the one I got from here was the perfect amount of spice, it was smooth and very tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and so was the potato in the bombay aloo. The service was fast and they were very welcoming and friendly. Very reasonable too!

London Rd, BaldockIt’s been a while since my last visit as I had a poor experience. However, I decided to return when I received a Christmas voucher.
I was pleasantly surprised by the bustling atmosphere and the bright log burner. My dog was delighted to join us on a gloomy day.
The food was reasonably priced but the pudding was spectacular. It was a rose petal and pistachio panna cotta and absolutely delicious.
We had a great time and will definitely be returning.

I don’t know what the other negative review is talking about… their photo is of a kebab! It’s not even the right review for the place!
Traditional Fish and Chips at its finest. The cod is fresh and crisp and lovely chunky chips, served piping hot.
Dining in is going to be the freshest experience.

Tesco, 58 High St, BaldockI visited Costa Baldock today after my child’s football lesson, accompanied by both of my children. Unfortunately, my younger one had a small accident and fell from a chair while I was at the bar placing our order. Due to the situation, I became a bit distracted, and as a result, there was a misunderstanding with the order.
However, I was truly impressed by how quickly and professionally the team handled everything. Within a minute, a gentleman named Catalin (whom I believe to be the manager) approached to assist and resolved the issue immediately, even refunding the price difference.
I greatly appreciate the team’s efficiency, courtesy, and understanding during what was, for me, a rather stressful moment. It is refreshing to encounter such attentive and customer-focused service.
Many thanks to the Costa Baldock team for turning a difficult situation into a positive experience.
