We had a fantastic evening here enjoying their lovely food. We were looked after from the very start by caring, friendly and welcoming staff. Service was attentive but unintrusive. One of our group has a citrus allergy and they really went the extra mile to keep her safe, including a special annotated menu explaining which dishes were OK for her. The tapas themselves were plentiful and delicious. We had patatas bravas, honey chicken, brisket, tortilla española, halloumi and a few more. Dessert was delicious (I had Crema Catalana). A special shout out to Ella, who was our main waitress. She was so lovely and down to earth, and made sure we were all very well looked after. We will definitely be back!

Tarla Restaurant - Turkish Meze & Grill

Excellent food served by a brilliant team. The decor is also really interesting. We had a selection of the smaller dishes/platters which were all wonderful although we especially liked the fish dishes. We will certainly be visiting again when next in the area.

Booked online and reserved a table for two, arrived at Entrance and was warmly greeted and shown to our table, the vibe was calm and welcoming, was left for a few moments to look over the menus.
The waiter came and took our drinks order followed by our breakfast orders, I stepped out of the traditional and tried the American, Mrs had the traditional,
The coffees and cappuccino was of high quality and absolutely indulgent so moreish. The full breakfast was cooked to perfection even ate the mushroom and don't normally like them...
The American breakfast was the star fresh fruit maple syrup 3 pancakes so light and fluffy,Cumberland sausage,egg and bacon delicious so tasty chef nailed it. Absolutely exceptionally delicious ? %
You pay for quality and you get it by the bucket loads faultless service highly recommended amazing experience all round.

Had a great experience today! Despite waiter mentioning they were low staff, we were served very quickly and recieved our food within 30 minutes. Although some items we wanted were unavailable, staff gave us other options and were apologetic. Vegetable wellington was absolutely lovely, all the vegetables were amazing! As soon as we arrived, we were immediately greeted by a waiter named Sam, who efficiently and accurately identified our reservation as the birthday booking :) Throughout our visit, Sam provided exceptional service, demonstrating both attentiveness and a friendly demeanor. His ability to upsell effectively contributed positively to our dining experience, and he was amazing at creating a memorable atmosphere. This service made my 21st birthday dinner celebration so so memorable creating an environment of continuous enjoyment and laughter.
The food was also noteworthy, starting with excellent starters and mains , and ending in a delightful complimentary birthday dessert with Sam getting the entire restaurants attention to sing happy birthday. Sam's exceptional service significantly elevated our overall satisfaction.
In conclusion, the experience was outstanding, and I highly recommend TGI FRIDAYS in Stevenage. I particularly hope that Sam receives the appreciation he deserves. We intend to return and hope to be served by him again. ?

A little gem amongst all other takeaways.
I have been a customer since their time in the town centre and still visit to this day when in the area, even though I don’t live nearby anymore.

I come for my birthday meal every year and can’t fault.
I love their food, you don’t feel too full or heavy after eating it and it’s just such a lovely taste of home. A great variety for everyone!

I was always a Japche (sweet potato) noodle girl but since trying their Udon and BibimBap I’m now sold. The udon noodles are to die for.

Dumplings and pancakes are always delicious and I could eat their chilli sauce all day everyday with any meal - I would love it if they sold it in bottles (extra ££? For the business)

I can’t fault, owners and chefs are always so so lovely and I long to return every time I think of takeaway.

We will always support you Gangnam Team! I wish you a prosperous year 2026 and can’t wait to visit again!

So the food is absolutely incredible. Our favourite takeaway in the area, but I've removed a star because of the absolute rip off price of the starters. Prawn toast for over £10 for 3 small pieces of prawn toast. £9 for 4 duck spring rolls. \n\nIt's fresh, delicious, but they need to increase the starter portions as they are a rip off at the moment.\n\nSaying that, the food is so tasty, all of the curries are to die for, and the noodle dishes are nice (if again, a little small portion wise for the price).

Have to say the best I’ve ever had, lovely crispy batter, not sure what chips they were using but really tasty and crisp. Food was good, service was excellent but we were shocked when we received the bill. The food was not itemised on the bill and when questioned the staff she said the prices are on the menu so I took one home to check later. They also charged a hefty service charge. My dad had ordered something that they had recommended and that we could not find on the menu and it worked out to be the most expensive dish. Also noticing what’s stated on their menu, it states that they accept all major credit cards but when paying she told me I could not pay by AMEX. Then also they charge £1 for under £20 which is not legal under UK law. Since January 2018, UK businesses have been banned from charging extra fees for card payments (debit or credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, Amex).
This applies to all transactions, including small amounts under £20.
Overall, since pricing is not clear and it was more expensive than expected for 5 adults at £165.20 we won’t be returning.

I would recommend anyone in the town centre Stevenage, to pop into the Mad Hatter ,, Just recently they’ve been doing cheesecake’s My favourite is the strawberry, but there are other brands also.I have been reading the reviews, there is only one bad review, and that person to me is very vindictive to the staff and the cafe. Popped into the café at Sainsbury’s and was thoroughly impressed. The fish and chips were absolutely spot on—crispy batter, perfectly cooked fish, and lovely chunky chips. Just what you’d hope for!

The coffee was rich and full of flavour, exactly what I needed for a little pick-me-up. And the cake? Simply delightful—light, moist, and a proper treat.

The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a cracking little spot for a bite to eat, and I’ll certainly be back. Highly recommend!

We came first time in this town and found this cafe. When we popped in the cafe was super clean, service was amazing and the food was scrumptious. The Peartree is a great pub that have made some awesome improvements over the years. They have 2 bar areas, 1 sports and the other is chilled. There's a great outdoor sit down area out back and front. The vibes there is very chill bit the Bar Staff are usually excellent... very friendly and welcoming and they let you know the deals on shots ... which is always a winner.
I'd recommend The PearTree for sure ...... good set of regulars down there too. 8/10 overall

Popped in for a breakfast, for the first time today. Busy with lots of regulars (always the sign of a good local cafe).10/10. Service is quick and attentive. Felt very welcome. Food was top notch. I was here for a wedding reception. The food was hit and miss and there was some confusion about the time the buffet should be laid out. Consequently on arrival the food was all out and already pretty much cold which was disappointing. Staff did reheat for us but it wasn't very thorough and the food was at best Luke warm. The sweet and sour chicken was fantastic, even when Luke warm! Chips if they had been warm would have been great, such a shame they were Stone cold. The rest was pretty average. And it very much seemed like the mound of chocolate brownies and the pizzas were courtesy of Costco. Even more disappointing was the 2 tubs of walls ice cream plonked on the window sill. I don't think the older guests realised it was part of the buffet and being you can't refreeze ice cream it seemed very wasteful. The staff however were very pleasant and super friendly.

I really like this chippy and is now our go too when we want a chippy. Don’t bother with anywhere else. I’m from up north and i was spoilt for amazing fish and chips. Moved south and tbh most of the chippy around here ain’t got a clue. I’ve tried 99% of them around the area and I found this the best. Decent priced as well even in this economy. Around £35 for 6 of us. I really like the restaurant part too.

Parking spaces are narrow, so many people seem to drive large cars so tricky to get a slot with room to get in and out without getting your paintwork scuffed.
