145 Frodingham Rd, ScunthorpeTook me and young daughter here for lunch after shopping.She can be fussy, but she polished off a Forrest Gump (simple :) cheese burger) with fries.My own burger was delicious, with all the trimmings and some of the best curry chips I've ever tasted. All food arrived very quickly.Owner is a top bloke too, so basically no complaints, and we'll be back with the rest of the clan soon enough.Highly recommended!

139 High St, ScunthorpeOrdered a quarter pounder cheese burger with salad and a side of chips. The burger was average at the best but the chips was delicious. The lady serving was very nice and welcoming. I wanted to pay on card but she said they prefered cash there is a free use cash point literally across from the business. I ate inside the shop, overall quite good also there's a nice restaurant room on the right of the shop. Worth a try for sure.

I had the spaghetti bolognese for my main meal and it was worth the price well presented and impressed with the portion size I received too.

1 High St, Burringham, ScunthorpeCame to Take a Gander for a meal tonight for my daughters 18th birthday, and have to say what a absolute fantastic place it is, its so beautiful inside, the atmosphere is amazing. The food was delicious, I had the fillet steak stroganoff and it was to die for, it was cooked to perfection. Everyone fully enjoyed there meals, the Oero Brownie is out of this world something very special about the place. The Staff are super friendly, helpful, chatty and all had lovely smiles on there faces. I would definitely be recommending Take a Gander to friends and family, we will absolutely be coming again. Thank you again for a wonderful time.

The service straight from the off was polite and tentative throughout.
The selection of food was excellent. The taste was even better. Portion sizes we're unbelievable, and more than enough for just the 2 of us.
For what we ordered, the pricing was remarkable. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable, tasty meal. Would definitely recommend

This is first time eating Indian food in Scunthorpe too as I was reluctant, based on other cuisines that have been of very poor quality. I chose small portions thinking they would be a tasting portion considering the price. Needless to say I could have fed a village for very little and ordered far too much, even after giving some to the neighbour, I’ll be eating for days to come. The food was very substantial, wholesome, and palatable. I only ordered 2 papadam so wasn’t expecting any pickles or chutneys/dips. However, they blessed me with extra and dips to try, which were all really nice. The delivery driver was happy, smiley and chatty. Maybe he was secretly laughing for all the food I ordered (facepalm) I do wonder if they would make home made Ras Malai if ordered in advanced?

Portion sizes were plentiful and delivery was in good time. Delivery driver was extremely friendly and helpful also adding that to get a cheaper takeaway to order straight from the website rather than through just eat. Very impressed all round with this service, and will be sure to order from here again soon.

With it being so close by for me the only thing that stops me frequenting to become a 'regular' is that it is priced at a point to reflect just how good it is.
Deserving of its Michelin Star. I hope I can continue to visit whenever I can find excuse enough to cover the price.

The Chancel
The Chancel, Cambridge Ave, Scunthorpe1st time going to Chancel pub for food and it won't be the last. Just had the best chicken bhuna of my life(freshly made may I add) and I've had a few ?. Service was spot on really polite and attentive staff. Me and the wife had a starter to share and the 2 chicken bhuna's (which also came with rice,skin on chips and a naan bread) a couple of pints and a pint of coke and spent just under £40.
Would highly recommend.

Sitting inside is fairly inconvenient as the chairs aren't always up and you have to pay more if you're eating in, so I'd recommend taking out and eating at St. John's or somewhere else.

My father had a latte but we were told there were no long latte spoons to stir his sugar in so he had to use a fork as the normal spoon was too small.\nNo triple cooked chips to go with fish and chips so were offered other options, but, as my son-in-law chose truffle and Parmesan instead, we were charged extra. Didn’t realise this until I looked at receipt a second time. Didn’t think we should have been charged the extra as they didn’t have the chips he wanted originally.\nOverall, a pleasant evening.

I have been privileged to forge good friendships with staff and customers. They make 'going to work' enjoyable and I know other regulars feel just the same. I have heard it said that the coffees are somewhat secondary to the good feel and community spirit present within the shop!I find the speed and quality of service to be of the the highest order. All staff members are personable and friendly. They are customer focused and totally in tune with customer needs.On a more practical level, the tables are always clean and the internet is speedy and reliable; ideal for me trying to run an accountancy business without office premises.The team is a credit to the town of Scunthorpe and I wish them all very well.

My beef was cooked to perfection – tender, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken with Greek salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. The consistency of quality here is remarkable. This truly is a hidden gem, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

It is a tad expensive in my opinion. Only slightly nothing major. But it's the only cafe i know that's on Broadway. So guess it's the monopoly of being the only place. But all in all, I will and do go back.

The service straight from the off was polite and tentative throughout.
The selection of food was excellent. The taste was even better. Portion sizes we're unbelievable, and more than enough for just the 2 of us.
For what we ordered, the pricing was remarkable. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable, tasty meal. Would definitely recommend

And I think they could do with a couple of portaloos near the trampoline area. Its a fair walk for a desperate child or and elderly grand parent. Other than that is defo 4-5 stars

We hadn't booked but a lovely lady found us a table even though they were very busy. Food was good and came fairly quickly to say how busy they were .
