Coulter Rd, BiggarWe had a lovely afternoon tea. It was plenty enough, couldn't finish the sweets. The quiche was the best piece. Service was friendly and doing excellent job.

88 High St, BiggarFreshly prepared tasty food served by friendly staff. I had a link sausage roll, made with proper meaty butchers sausages not the mass produced frozen variety. My partner enjoyed a delicious cheese scone. Our first time dining there and it won’t be our last!

Laurel Bank Tea Room and bar
Biggar Rd, Broughton, BiggarWalked out along the old railway from Biggar to this braw wee tearoom and had the most delicious club sandwiches to fuel my friend and I back home again. Lovely warm welcome, and despite us sitting outside, the staff were very attentive. Highly recommend a wee visit in here. (With or without a big walk)

Taj Mahal
101 High St, BiggarAbsolutely brilliant. One of the best indian restaurants I have been to (and the best biriyani for a long time!). Everyone was extremely friendly, took time explaining the dishes, and alternatives taking everyone's tastes into account. We wish we lived closer to visit again sooner! We will be back!

109-111 High St, BiggarAmazing food and great service. We're both vegans and we both ate well with yummy mains and desserts. Drinks are well priced as well. If in the area again we'll definitely be back.

The Coffee Spot
152 High St, BiggarOutstandingly well cooked bacon rolls and hot coffee which is unusual. Great bacon supplier. Worth a drive from Glasgow for thus alone. Not the friendliest Big thumbs up for the cracking bacon though.

55 High St, BiggarPartner & I went for a midweek evening meal & had a lovely time! The young lady who served us was so friendly & polite, as it was midweek it was a quiet evening but that didn’t bother us, we enjoy some quiet time. The meal was lovely and will definitely be back with more family and friends.

1 High St, BiggarCalled in on our way home from a weekend away for lunch. It was very quiet with only 2 people eating when we arrived. We wanted a roast lunch as it was a Sunday but were told they weren't doing it so we had steak pie. Cannot fault the steak - it melted as soon as you touched it with a knife. Lots of HUGE chunks of perfectly cooked beef in lovely gravy. We found out when 2 new people asked for roast dinner that the pub had been flooded the day before due to torrential rain and that's why there was no roast!!!

Tinto Hotel
44 Biggar Rd, Symington, BiggarStayed here midweek for a wedding in a nearby hotel. Plenty of parking and friendly service. Helped me with a taxi to venue that night.
No toilet roll in the room but that was rectified very quickly. No other issues. Went for dinner which was of a good standard and value for money.
Room itself clean and plenty of space, shower was good.
Recommended.

The Big Red Barn Company
South Melbourne Farm, Elsrickle,, BiggarTook the family for lunch recently. Really enjoyed the tagliatelle, with home made by Errington Cheese, crowdie, and beautiful squash plus hazelnuts, which combined for a delicious experience. My difficult to please son had the Italian sausage rarebit, which came on a brioche base. Again, unexpected combination of flavours was delicious. Sadly, we were driving so no wine for us, but a good selection on offer. Also interesting was the cheese pairing menu which included suggestions for a small piece of cheese (nearly all Errington) and interesting, high quality accompaniments. Gingerbread, honeycomb and fig jam being some. Although it was a busy afternoon and the restaurant was full, tge service was very smooth and efficient with friendly knowledgeable staff.
All in all, a great experience.
