I came in one morning for a lovely breakfast and got caught short and had to make a dash for the toilet. I'd been out for a Indian meal then night before and drank about 12 pints too. Sorry the mess a left the toilet and the walls In aswell.

The Tavern
High St, Longtown, CarlislePopped in with the dogs after a long day walking in the hills. World Cup on tv, good banter, lovely pint of John Smiths and treats and water for the dogs. Thank you.

Hidden River Cafe
Hidden River Cafe, Longtown, CarlisleWe found it by chance trying to stop somewhere nice to eat mid route on our way from Glasgow to East Yorkshire. It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere but then magic happens and you enter a very nice, well set restaurant. Beautiful dishes and desserts, and fantastic service. It’s worth the diversion. 5 stars.
