Hidden River Cafe, Longtown, CarlisleToday my friend and I discovered Hidden River Cafe and what a find it was. We enjoyed a fabulous 3 course lunch choosing from an inviting menu of well thought out options that were quite different to normal cafe/pub lunches. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We were served by Bethany who did a great job answering our questions and ensuring we enjoyed our meal. This place is definitely on our “go back to soon” list.

The Tavern
High St, Longtown, CarlislePopped in with the dogs after a long day walking in the hills. World Cup on tv, good banter, lovely pint of John Smiths and treats and water for the dogs. Thank you.

Del's Diner
Briscoburn Business Park, Whitesike, LongtownParked very early in morning and loads of spaces. Toliet and shower was still open and very clean. Powerful shower too. Woke. Up and met lovely lady in cafe. Warmly greeted with a smile. Gave her my reg as site is snap. Then ordered a delicious sausage cob with tea. Great, truck stop highly recommended. Also right next door to amazon DPN1 for anyone working on this contract.
