Great friendly service. The food was delicious. The sweet potato fries were delicious ?. This establishment was a rare find which had a great gluten-free menu and vegetarian menu, in addition to the main menu. This suited us as a family with specific dietary needs. ❤️.

The mango sorbet and sundaes were fab delicious as were our main courses.

No Proper response from the reception staff. Called to the restaurant Nearby 20 times. No response and Not satisfied with the phone order.

Sharkys Bar and Diner

Doesn't claim to be Michelin starred but for comfort food this was frankly outstanding. Macaroni with a multitude of toppings and the same idea with the loaded fries. It's predominately a bar with a decent selection on tap but the food menu whilst small didn't miss. Enjoyed every mouthful. Except the last one because i wanted more! Christmas songs created a feel good vibe and the staff were on point with their service. Quick, friendly and knew the menu well as my girlfriend grilled them!

Would definitely go back if i was in the area for more confort food and good times.

Chips 'n' Things

Food is good, fish supper, king rib and single scampi were good chip shop quality. However I ordered and paid online and chose the time slot for collection. On arrival I asked about my order and my bill was added to the end of live queue which was quite long. Even people who walked into the shop and ordered food after me got their food before me. I stood there and waited for 20 minutes after confirmed time slot. Scandalous wait time for a chipper to be honest. Cashier taking orders could work on customer skills and maybe be a bit more welcoming.

Shannon and Ryan both are amazing at what they do they’re customer service is top notch, they go above and beyond to make sure you’re satisfied and that foods good as well

Picture House

Took my family for meal at the Picture House today.
Andy had reserved our table and gave us a very warm welcome.
We ordered 3 starters and 7 main meals. 7 drinks.
All were cooked well lovely presentation and hot and served in an appropriate timescale.
Everyone had an empty plate so that specks for itself. Portion we good. Child's pasta dish could have done with a bit more sauce.
Value for money definitely ? ? will definitely be going back.....
Lots of choice for food and drinks so should suit everyone's needs.

Dinos Pizza

Whenever we indulge in a takeout we always come here. The chicken kebabs are insanely good. Very fresh and absolutely delicious. The place always looks incredibly clean and the staff are polite and friendly.

5in1 Indian takeaway

Always a welcoming experience and online ordering is easy. You can taste everything they used in your dish unlike other takeaways where it always tastes the same regardless of what you order. My go-to for takeawayKid-friendliness: Kids menu is great, coming with activities and the food is great

Ordered sandwich platters from high street Montrose shop, the staff were excellent and very accommodating, and the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much to Scott and the other girl at Montrose Subway today, we live in arbroath and we ordered our food and card machine wouldn't let us pay with our phone and we stupidly didn't have our bank card. Scott thankfully had his card and let us transfer him money and he paid with his card. Thank you so much such a kind gesture we are very grateful

We have came back a few times over the past year when we have been in montrose, service with a smile and the fish and fritters with mushy peas were our of this world, delicious, asked for a side salad, first time with pineapple along side, red onion, cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce, amazing, will definitely be back again ??

I ordered a chicken chow mein and chips. It was decent, I enjoyed it. It was hot, good portion size and tasty.
The prices are the most reasonable in the town, other chinese takeaways are extortianate!
This takeaway is CASH ONLY and this was a bit inconvenient for me as I was on a bicycle.
All in all, the dish I ordered was very good.

Domino's Pizza - Montrose

Always friendly and amazing service in this store!!! The Staff are always quick to serve you and really polite. Store always looks clean and my pizzas are always perfect!!! Love this branch can't go wrong with it it's my favourite!!

Top Tier Chinese Takeaway!

Hands down one of the best takeaways I’ve had in ages. The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely packed with flavour. I got the salt and pepper chicken, chow mein, and spring rolls everything was spot on.

Portions were generous, prices were decent, and it arrived quicker than expected. You can tell they actually care about what they’re cooking, not just throwing it together.

If you’re after a proper good Chinese night in, this is the one. Will definitely be ordering again soon!

Phoenix Bakehouse

Top class bakery, all tasted so good.
When we were on the way out the shop we stopped just to ask what a buttery was as had never tried one. The owner kindly sent us away with two they’d made earlier that didn’t quite make the shopfront but able for us to try for free!

Aug 1st 2025- Market Arms Bar – Montrose. Loved this place! ? ????? Absolutely top notch! From the moment we walked in, the ladies at the bar made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warm, friendly, and genuinely engaging personalities turned a casual stop into a highlight of our trip. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and a place you’ll want to return to. A true gem in Montrose!

The Coffee House

First time in Montrose and glad I found this gem. Hearty bowl of soup, coffee and cake, all went down a treat. Very busy but quick and friendly service. Located in a lovely building too, I'll be back to investigate this lovely town a bit more.

Ma Yom Thai Restaurant

On a mini break. This is our favourite eating place in Montrose. More up market than anywhere else we dined. Lovely food, pleasant surroundings,exceptional service.

The Golf Inn

We recently held a family event at The Golf Inn in Montrose, and the team there were absolutely fabulous. From start to finish, they took great care of us, and nothing was too much trouble.

The food was outstanding—plentiful, delicious, and incredible value for money. It really exceeded our expectations. The generous spread gave us all a chance to relax, enjoy ourselves, and most importantly, reconnect with family we don’t get to see very often. We’re often spread out and pulled in different directions, so having the time and space to sit down and have proper conversations was truly special.

I’d highly recommend The Golf Inn for private functions and catered events. The whole experience was warm, welcoming, and expertly handled. Huge congratulations to the team for making our day so memorable—thank you!

Frost The Bakers

Perhaps one of the best steak pies I’ve ever had. Should’ve taken a picture before devouring it. The variety is insane if you get there early enough. I was fortunate to still be able to buy a steak pie in the late afternoon.

What a hidden gem! Seems like they feed the entire community! Don’t miss out!

A Cup Above

Excellent food! I had a crammed coronation chicken sandwich which came with a lovely salad and coleslaw. Delicious and filling! Staff very friendly and attentive.

Albert Bar

Great bar. Was made very welcome on our recent visit on the Easter weekend. Dog friendly also. Looking forward to our next visit to Montrose. Wouldn't hesitate in highly recommending

Anchor Bar

Best stop at the end of the night, good selection of various drinks and some cocktails/shots. They do free pool some days aswell as kareoky over the weekend. Great place to go during the day for drinks, they have a beer garden. Always gets lively towards the end of the night and you meet many people.

Made very welcome by Mellisa behind the bar ,A fantastic pint of Tennants £4:00 .
Nice clean pub,3 Darts lanes and a Pool table with space around it hurrah.

Montrose Fish Bar

Staying at a local hotel we decided to eat out .ordered fish supper fish was huge and tasty piping hot so we went back to the hotel to eat it in our room a few night later we tried the pizza chicken and ham delicious

Neptune Bar

Loved the afternoon we spent here. Landlord was very friendly as were the locals. Best Guinness and Tennant's I've drunk this trip. What a great local!
