60 George St, ObanWe visited Saturday 3rd for dinner. Chose this restaurant on the varied menu. I had the fish chowder to start which was thick & moreish. Exactly as it should be. My wife had the salt & chilli chicken. This was also 10/10 delicious.. for mains I had the half rack of ribs my wife had the chicken Kiev. Again food was fab. The night was made even more enjoyable by the chatty & amazing server Inayah. The atmosphere was buzzy & the restaurant busy. We never had too long to wait for a table. Can't wait to visit again.

Lochside St, ObanFriendly and courteous staff, order is done on a self service screen take a number place on your table and wait. Service was quick but prices a bit expensive for a can of irn bru £4.70.
Good selection of food and hot drinks, food was excellent. Nice and clean.sauses are in bottles that you take to your table.

130 George St, ObanWas on holiday in oban last week from Yorkshire. Went in for a pizza and it was one of the best pizzas we have had. Very fresh and tasty. So good went back 2 days later and had another one. Very nice. Will call in again next time we are in oban.

91 George St, ObanA big thank you to Marmaris who went above and beyond with their customer service today. I ordered build your own pizzas and one of which I meant to be cheese free, I didn't press cheese as an option without realising the pizzas came with cheese anyway. This was ordered as a collection, when I phoned despite it essentially being my error (though it could be highlighted somewhere on the page build your own pizza starts with cheese) I was sent a replacement pizza via home delivery with no extra charge very quickly

The staff were so lovely and welcoming and looked after us so well. The food was delicious and the place had a lovely atmosphere with dogs very welcome ?? Kerrera Marina Isle of Kerrera, ObanLovely restaurant. We took the Kerrera Ferry and walked the 2.5km but you can also travel on a direct ferry from Oban evey few hours.
Terrific specials with local foods and drinks.
Also lovely help yourself tea and coffee station with well stocked cakes for the marina.

2 Argyll St, ObanLittle pub up a side street. Does what is says on the tin really as when I popped in the horse racing was on as a few gentleman supped pints of Tennants and Guinness. Has a pool table. Recommended for a pint or two. No food on just beer. Suited me fine ? ? ?

Calmac Pier, ObanWe love this place. The oysters are the best I’ve ever had. Great size and so fresh. This time we also had the sharing platter for 2. It’s massive and could easily serve 3/4. One thing I would say is that the addition of the crabsticks, tiny peeled prawns and chewy squid cheapened the experience and was unnecessary. It was clearly not local or fresh. The muscles, squat lobster, langoustine, pickled herring, hot smoked salmon and crab were more than enough.

7 Argyll Square, ObanThis place lived up to expectations, which seems rare lately. Service was great as were the Latte's and the wonderful selection of cakes. We got the Bakewell slice. It was so good. We got take away but actually sat out the front in the sunshine for awhile whilst we are.

116 George St, ObanDelicious scallops and chips! We chose to try scallops, instead of fish, since we had never have fried scallops before. They are huge and juicy inside. The chips are also huge and soft inside. The seafood chowder is hearty delicious. You can eat in or get a take away and sit by the water to enjoy (both food and view).

The Pokey Hat
17 Stafford St, ObanLocated in the center of Oban with nice seating just outside. The ice cream palor is local and ice cream is made fresh on site daily. My family and I have eaten ice cream every day for the past week on our holiday and this place by far was the best! The Biscoff ice cream may be my favorite flavor ever. We also enjoyed coconut with coconut shavings, and mint chocolate chip. Very friendly and will be swinging back by before heading home.

86 George St, ObanOn a coach trip to the west of Scotland, the driver recommended that if we wanted fish & chips then don't go anywhere else, we walked in the seating area was packed out, we waited around 15 minutes for a table, we ordered two haddock, one chips, two drinks and curry sauce, the food was exceptionally good, after chatting with the owner Antony? He said his grandad was Nories
Anyways I said I'd leave a review
Honestly if anyone happens to visit Oban and you fancy a bloody good chippy then don't walk past this place.

9 Argyll St, ObanWent to this wee place for breakfast based on TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Brilliant service with a smile from start to finish. The lady serving us took into account our dietary requirements and tailored it to suit us. My daughter asked for the cream cheese bagel with salmon & scrambled eggs. However, she didn't want the cream cheese or the scrambled egg. She was given the option to add other fillings to the bagel and she happily chose bacon and avocado. My husband has a dairy allergy & again he was well catered for.

We were greeted promptly and seated quickly, and I have to say — we genuinely felt welcomed and valued from the moment we walked in.
While the vegan options are limited, what really impressed us was the staff's willingness to answer questions and cater to what they can offer. That kind of openness and flexibility makes a big difference.
I had the full Scottish breakfast, which was excellent, and my partner went for the smashed avocado topped with a perfectly cooked egg — both dishes were fresh, well-presented, and delicious.
It’s easy to see why this place is rated so highly by both locals and visitors. We’d definitely return.

Restaurant at the Isle of Eriska
Benderloch, ObanFriendly service, always saying yes to every request.
The space is cozy and charming, with a lovely garden view.
The food was outstanding—from the starter to the main course. I’ve never had duck breast and foie gras so tender and juicy. In my opinion, it’s one of the best duck breast I’ve ever had.
The scallops were also excellent, paired with a wonderful sauce.
The fish dish was relatively good, though I personally found the surface a bit too salty—everything else was spot on.
The beef was slightly dry, possibly due to the use of Scottish beef.
At £85 for a 3-course meal, I find the price reasonable for the quality.
Definitely worth experiencing.

Connel, ObanThe Loch Nell oysters are really delicious. And the Chicken Balmoral was a treat. Indefinitely recommend. My wife took the haddock and chips... Also a winner! I did find the blackthorn cider a bit on the dull side compared to cider from French Brittany that I'm used to.

Tralee bay fish and chips
Benderloch, ObanI was recommended to try this place, and have to say it was fantastic the chips and fish were perfect and no complaints at all. I did ring to order ( and they rang me back) with a time slot etc and only took cash. So please ring ahead as someone turned up and was told over an hour wait. And I can see why with the food tastes so good.

Coast Restaurant
104 George St, ObanI turned up here without a reservation more in hope than expectation but was well received and they had no problem seating me as a solo diner. I specifically came for the seafood and was not disappointed with excellent steamed mussels and delicious langoustines. I would definitely come here again since the food was excellent, reasonably priced and the staff friendly and professional. I would however advise that you reserve a table beforehand, particularly for the evening.

Kerrera Tea Garden and Bunkhouse
Kerrera, Gylen Castle, Lower, ObanWe went to this beautiful little tea garden on Kerrera on a whole-day walking-trip from Oban that includes a ferry.
Glyen Castle is just around the corner, so the two can be combined easily.
The people are super nice, the food and drinks are delicious and all together the destination is more than worth the travels.
The only potential for improvement are the disposable cups and bags for which there is no alternative.
Make sure to be on time, as the cafe closes at 4 pm sharp.

Stevenson St, ObanWe spent a couple of lovely nights in the Lorne and would highly recommend it. Foods amazing as are all of the staff. Even Michelle’s potty mouth didn’t stop us coming back! (Only kidding Michelle, your hospitality is amazing and you’re all doing a great job) Will def be back next time we’re in Oban.
