Each detail from the service to the taste and presentation of the food was amazing! We had the moussaka, Greek salad, garlic bread, calamari, and lamb kebab/meatloaves. Delicious!

Bridgwater Rd, North Petherton, BridgwaterWe stopped by last night as a pitstop on a long journey, we had been turned away else where and could see it was busy here too. A waitress managed to squeeze us in and appolgised for how busy they were. We waited for a little while to be served but the wait was so worth it! The food was so lovely and homely. I adored every single mouthful. The service was also brilliant the waitresses kept checking on us and appolgising that it was taking a little longer than usual. I left greatful we had been turned away at the next pub along. They also had a band playing which just added to the lovely atmosphere.

He was very friendly and approachable, we had a lovely conversation. Great prices, portions and food. Would definitely come back when we are in the area again.

18 High St, BridgwaterHave been eating here fairly regularly over the last 3/4 years - have had breakfasts, Sunday dinners and evening meals and every time the quality of food and service has been first class. Only ever had one minor niggle which was dealt with very quickly without fuss. Very well run restaurant and I`ll continue to dine here in the future!

Church Rd, North Newton, BridgwaterPopped up from Devon to do a spot of motorhome shopping. The campsite we stayed on recommended and we visited on 2 consecutive nights. The staff and owners were lovely, a bit of fun which we like. Both meals were excellent , good value and well presented. Tasty food for reasonable prices. We had live music on the Saturday night which was an added bonus. Locals were chatty and welcoming, especially to our dogs who were lavished with fuss!! We were promised a free Sunday carvery if we ate it and didn't enjoy it but sadly the bank holiday shopping hours stopped us from getting back in time! Too many motorhomes!! We plan to come back and put the carvery to the test!! Thanks guys for adding to our weekend away !

I visited early, so it was quiet. There was only one person serving, so it was a little slow.
The latte and Bacon Butty were nice, although I was surprised to get a plate with significant chips that should clearly have been thrown away.
It is very spacious downstairs and a lovely upstairs also with outdoor seating.

112 St John St, BridgwaterOrdered the Anif Mojar Biryani on its own for £8.95 and was genuinely impressed by the portion size, very generous for the price.
I've had Special biryanis at other places that claim to include chicken, meat, and prawns, but often the actual ratio ends up being something like 60% chicken, 30% meat, and 10% prawn. Moghul pleasantly surprised m, it was the opposite. My biryani had roughly 20% chicken, 30% meat, 10% prawn, and a staggering 40% king prawn. I’ve never seen that much king prawn in a biryani before. Full credit to them for that.
Taste-wise, it was excellent overall, though I felt it was a bit overwhelmed by fried and red onions, just a bit too much for my liking.
The only real letdown was the sauce. The menu stated that it comes with a sweet and sour sauce, which is actually what drew me to order it. But I was served the usual vegetable curry that's identical to what countless other places offer. A bit of a letdown considering how unique the biryani itself was.

While the prices are great and very affordable. The food is not at the standard that it previously was at with hard chewy tasteless flatbreads scrappy bits of salad, misleading images, small fry portions, minimal fresh salad and a hard burnt egg.

56 – 66 Eastover, BridgwaterWe’ve celebrated a few birthdays here over the years. Our first visit (back in Nov 2019) was excellent, a truly fabulous dining experience with a well-balanced menu. In 2020, the food was still good, though not quite at the same level. By 2023, the menu changes seemed to lack the balance and fine taste we had enjoyed earlier, and unfortunately the overall experience hasn’t returned to that original high standard.
That said, the restaurant is conveniently located in the Mercure Hotel with plenty of parking, and for the area it remains a good option.

Robin had amazing communication and got all the pizza to us nice and hot! Great options for toppings as well and even catered for our vegan friend with cheese and vegan meat toppings which is such a rarity! Thank you so much and definitely would recommend to any others staying locally :)Vegetarian options: Veg wedge and the porky please (can both be made vegan!)

My partner and I stopped in late about an hour before close and the staff kindly made up takeaway portions for our order, adding in a couple of extra little surprises as a gift. It was such a treat after a long day and as a random stop on our longish drive home. The achari chicken was my favorite selection. Tried it on a whim and the sauce was *chef’s kiss* so good. Such a lovely balance of salt, acid, spice, coriander, lime, onion, and so many other flavors. Savory and delicious. And the chicken chunks were large, and must have been caringly cut as they had none of the funny little bits of bouncy material chicken can sometimes surprise you with. My sweet husband wasn’t looking to try anything new tonight and even he thought the sauce was delicious after finally succumbing to my offers to let him try it. I popped back in for a bottle of soda to drink with a handful of change and the man helping us generously accepted what I had rather than having me pop out to the car to get the few extra coins. The feeling of generosity, humanity, and hospitality this place left me with, even end of night on a Sunday, was next level and is something you’d never get at a chain. Even if you have an eater with you who wants something familiar, they offer basic chicken strips and chips and those left my fussier eater a happy camper. The decor inside is classy and cozy; I hope next time we aren’t en route on a drive and might get a chance to eat in. :)

My colleague and I ordered the mix grill packed with meat, including lamb, chicken, ribs, and adana with egg fried rice with traditional chilli sauce and salad. It could have easily fed up to 4, and the toasted bread wasn't too heavy either. My favourites were the succulent wings and the juicy ribs ?. A hidden gem, truly. Defo go again without doubt. A must try.

The pub itself dates back to the 1400's, it's very quaint and massively dog friendly...in fact it's a nightly pageant for super cool and cute pooches ??
There's a superb menu for both the weekend and weeknights, the quality is outstanding...nothing is out of the freezer ?

5 Binford Pl, BridgwaterA most charming cafe whose rich blue garden decor features large historic pictures of Bridgwater’s River Parrett. Four of us enjoyed a late lunch, so we had our choice of table, and our very capable server ensured we had excellent service.
Two of us enjoyed the daily quiche, one had the excellent salmon and eggs, and a fourth was very satisfied with the generous portions of the ham salad. We enjoyed a flat white and americano to round out our experience.

It's a bit of an alternative/rock scene pub, which is right up my street, and the staff and regular patrons were welcoming, friendly, and lively. There is a huge selection of beers, including many local ales from small breweries, which is great to see. It's very well priced too. I have heard good things about the live music from others too.

The Layby, Puriton Hill, BridgwaterI can honestly say The Frying Scotsman serves one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The burger is cooked fresh to order, perfectly juicy inside with a nice char on the outside, and packed into a soft bun that holds everything together without falling apart. The toppings are generous and well-balanced, every bite is full of flavour but never overwhelming.
On top of that, the service is always friendly and welcoming. Even if there’s a queue, it’s worth the wait. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and try their burger. You’ll understand why it’s a favorite!

Because it's a cattle market cafe, everything was cooked to perfection, the roast of the day was best ever. The George Williams Centre, Friarn Ave, BridgwaterJust a message to say we turned up very late in the day today (my error got closing time wrong) and we were met with the most king and amazing service from the ladies behind the counter! They crammed in just before closing the 2 smoothest and best decaf cappuccinos we have ever had with some of the most tantalising cannolli! We never felt rushed, or annoying for being late. 5* service and 5* food. Many thanks we will definitely be back ❤️

Church Rd, North Newton, BridgwaterPopped up from Devon to do a spot of motorhome shopping. The campsite we stayed on recommended and we visited on 2 consecutive nights. The staff and owners were lovely, a bit of fun which we like. Both meals were excellent , good value and well presented. Tasty food for reasonable prices. We had live music on the Saturday night which was an added bonus. Locals were chatty and welcoming, especially to our dogs who were lavished with fuss!! We were promised a free Sunday carvery if we ate it and didn't enjoy it but sadly the bank holiday shopping hours stopped us from getting back in time! Too many motorhomes!! We plan to come back and put the carvery to the test!! Thanks guys for adding to our weekend away !

40 Eastover, BridgwaterWanted Breakfast and this venue delivered on Service Food and Atmosphere. Had the Scottish Breakfast which had white pudding corner and haggis. All of which I've never had before and it didn't disappoint 10/10. Friendly staff and lovely and clean.

Sea Ln, BridgwaterThis feels like a little secret tucked away down a country lane...when you arrive there is plenty of parking and it will feel a little like you are entering someone's back garden but it is clearly signposted and welcoming. Lots of outdoor seating, but we chose to order to take away as it was a bit chilly.
You make your choice from the board, ring the bell, out comes the owner, they take cards which is helpful. He brought all the food out to the car for us which was so kind ( I'm not sure he'd manage to do that if it was a busier time, but a kind thing to do for us whilst it was quiet)
The food was delicious..the scones were incredible, light as a feather.
The sandwiches yummy, great bread, proper butter we chose ham and cheese the cheese was something else ? ?
All our drinks were nice and hot, good coffee too.
Can't fault..please don't turn up expecting indoor seating and China teacups..this is very good quality food the menu is limited and an excellent cream tea all served in take away boxes, with plenty of seating in a nature filled garden (or to take away) very dog friendly too ?

A hidden gem the pub itself is big once you get inside. Loads of seating sofas 3 dart boards pool table and the beer garden is absolutely huge! If you like a good traditional pub you will like it here

29 Fore St, BridgwaterLovely Coffee Shop with a relaxing feel and nice decor.
I visited early, so it was quiet. There was only one person serving, so it was a little slow.
The latte and Bacon Butty were nice, although I was surprised to get a plate with significant chips that should clearly have been thrown away.
It is very spacious downstairs and a lovely upstairs also with outdoor seating.

Admiral's Table by Marston's Inns
Bristol Rd, Dunball, BridgwaterCame in with my 7 year old. Food was very tasty, even my son ate all his food! Dessert was also a nice treat. We were served by Val and waited on by Charlie, both of them were very friendly! Will be here again.

95 Wembdon Rd, BridgwaterQuantock is great value for money. It's always a nice warm and welcoming place to be with lovely staff. Food is decent. I really enjoyed the carvery today. It's a regular place for us and the children as they love it. Definitely recommend.

3b, 5 New Rd, BridgwaterThank you so much for making us feel right at home! From the friendly smiles to the cozy atmosphere, everything was just perfect. We left with full hearts (and full stomachs!) and can’t wait to come back. Food was delicious and just wonderful. And price was super reasonable.
