We both ordered fish and chips. The fish was really fresh and the batter was light and crisp. The chips were great. I didn't really like the minted pea puree but that's a personal thing. My friend liked it.\n\nThe place became very busy and noisy when a wake with a lot of people arrived. The noise did spoil the atmosphere somewhat. \n\nI live locally and have always wanted to try this place and would be happy to visit again.

149 High St, GodalmingThe best pint in Godalming. Super secret garden out back plus a large marquee for outside drinking and dining. Good selection of beers and guest ales and a lunchtime menu to suit all. Double fire places in the main bar and a great back bar with dart board. It is also the only place to watch the six nations with friends and family. Guess beer is Abbot. Tribute is still a Superb pint.

We went for an early family dinner and the options were great for kids and adults (pizza’s and pasta’s were delicious) but seeing the menu and food at other tables lots of options for nicer occasions (will be back to try the steak!).
Staff were great, especially with little kids. Understood the need to get kids meals out quick, understanding off mess and just overall amazing.

It was tasty and hot. I was glad I added a side of broccoli as it did need some veg. Food came a little too quickly, hadn't really had any time to relax have a drink and eat olives, but next time I will just not order as soon...

The St, Hascombe, GodalmingI came to this pub on sunday for a roast, and can I just say I was absolutely blown away. Everything was perfect! We had the T-bone steak, which came with all the sides a normal roast does, and two roast beefs. All of the dishes were cooked to perfection! The environment was buzzing from the moment we walked into the door! We were greeted by a lovely smile and got seated almost instantly! Our lovely server Maia made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole meal, we never felt we had to catch her attention. To sum it up this is an excellent pub with excellent food, will definitely be returning!

The food was outstanding – full of flavour, perfectly spiced, and clearly cooked fresh. Every dish arrived piping hot and beautifully presented. Generous portions, great value for money, and a lovely atmosphere to top it off. Easily one of the best curries I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended and will definitely be back!

I asked a couple of weeks back if they could do a pie for six and the result (very generous steak and ale with masses of veg and mash and a few cheeky chips) was stupendous. And a fine pint of Shere Drop. We had the side room which was very comfortable for gentlemen of a certain age and a few dogs.

I'd recommend this place if your looking for some good food at a very reasonable price . The staff are really friendly and helpful also very generous when it comes to pots of sauce (big up murt ) . Just a heads up its cash only so be prepared when visiting also theres a cash machine right around the corner 20 seconds away if your lacking .

The Coffee was excellent, and the service friendly.
