Not having dined here before we were pleasantly surprised to find it busy on a Monday night, especially given its location in very close proximity to a petrol station. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The service was excellent and the food a little above average. The only reason we will not return was we felt undervalued by the proprietor. I appreciate we may have been the last of his guests to leave at about 10:30, but we should not have had to watch his staff eating in the restaurant before they walked past us to go home without saying even goodnight. \nIn summary, this is a successful business where the proprietor needs to address standards and be aware of complacency.

Block & Gasket Burgess Hill
23 Church Rd, Burgess HillI recently visited the Block and Gasket in Burgess Hill for breakfast, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The pub has just undergone a refurbishment, and the new look is absolutely stunning. The space feels fresh and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern touches and classic pub charm. It’s clear a lot of thought has gone into the redesign, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.
The real star of the show, though, is the breakfast. For just £6, you get an incredibly generous Full English that hits all the right notes. The bacon is crispy, the sausages are flavorful, and the eggs are cooked to perfection. Every element is prepared with care, and the quality is outstanding, especially at such a fantastic price. The portion size is just right to start your day on a high note.
The staff were also friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in Burgess Hill, the Block and Gasket should be your go-to spot for a delicious, affordable breakfast in a beautifully refurbished setting. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

We have not had a meal less than excellent in all our visits. \nThe food is cooked extremely well, it’s very fresh and very reasonably priced considering the quality. There’s a good choice too. \nAsh and his team have created a lovely atmosphere over the years and it will always be our go to restaurant in the town as it is with many of our friends. \nWell done spiral.

Had to wait 20 minute for you to serve every item we ordered before receiving the rice. Your food is great you let your team down by not serving the rice together with the curry, so the curry gets cold.

72 Church Walk, Burgess HillWent on Wednesday morning as a pre back to work treat. When we left home with our dog the sun was shining. Got to the cafe and it had become a bit over cast and chilly. A lovely member of staff recognised this and invited us to sit inside with our dog which after an awful experience at another local establishment was unbelievably sweet and kind. Staff are always super friendly and food is good, scrambled egg was perfect!

224 London Rd, Burgess HillOrdered on a sat evening just after 9 and delivery took around 20mins. Food was so hot and fresh, order notes had been read and met which was great. Salt and pepper chicken is the best around! My only criticism is the sweet and sour sauce, just not to my taste or like any other sweet and sour sauce I've tasted before. BBQ sauce however was delicious! Not greasy and great size portions!

48 Church Rd, Burgess HillOrdered from Dragon and Peacock this evening. The staff were very friendly! Food arrived very quickly and food was nice and hot. The soups were out of this world as were the rest of the started. We also had noodles, rice and some other dishes all delicious and cooked to perfection. This will be definitely be my go to restaurant for takeaway Chinese food and would highly recommend them.

Their kebabs are the best in Sussex and their customer service is above and beyond. Thank you KB and all staff, I’ll enjoy my food as usual and I’m sorry for getting it wrong! Highly recommend this shop
