Service was seconds to none with attentive and professional staff. One of our group had a peanut allergy which was well catered for and all food prepared individually. We absolutely loved it

Little Lock coffee shop
Webb's Ln, MiddlewichA really cute coffee shop, dog friendly. It's near the canal and on the sunny day you can sit outside sipping tea. The food selection isn't huge but the toastie was good. Teas and coffees were great.

The White Bear
Wheelock St, MiddlewichVery welcoming as a lone diner. Excellent food, credit to the chef and staff here. The pie was delicious and it was lovely for the chef to come over to check if I was enjoying it, that’s unusual given most chefs hide away in the kitchen not to be seen, but a very nice touch from the chef. I highly recommend the homemade cheese & onion pie. Overall 10/10 and will definitely come back again to try the other pies. Thanks

The Big Lock pub & restaurant
Webb's Ln, MiddlewichNew owners new menu and very nice food it was too. We visit the Big Lock on a regular basis but this was the first time post the new owners taking over and we wish them well….this is our local! Whilst the pub was quiet it was a Monday evening. There appears to be a lot of effort gone into the pub building, the menu and indeed the lovely staff seem to have more energy. All nice to see. The food was lovely, my lamb meal (which I can never resist) was wonderfully cooked though it was also the most expensive item on the menu. A lovely evening with friends in our lovely local, we wish the new owners the very best.

Wife & I ordered the ‘Set Menu for 1’ to share & it didn’t disappoint;
2 meat spring rolls
2 good sized spare ribs in a delicious sauce
A gorgeous sweet & sour chicken with plenty of egg fried rice & ‘complimentary’ prawn crackers.
All for less than £14!
10 out of 10 & we’ll be back again!

Boars Head Hotel
Kinderton St, MiddlewichLovely old building, had a quiet pint with the mrs and a great nights sleep, i definitely prefer this over the travel lodge. The service was amazing and the room is closer to town and has a warmer more archaic feel to it, we didn't get to thank the staff as we had to leave early but I hope they know how appreciated their amenities were 10/10 will definitely be visiting again

Fantastic Pizza

35 Wheelock St, MiddlewichI’d heard good things, I’d also seen Drinks and Bites at 35 on social media so I thought I’d give it a try. All I can say is go and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. From walking through the door to saying cheerio, what a great experience. Warm and welcoming greeting, great food with a little bit of banter! The coffee was fantastic and I could tell the place is well thought of by the sheer amount of people dining and collecting takeaways. Very reasonable prices, decent quality food on the breakfast and the cakes look awesome (on my list to try next time).

Passed the Paragon during the day and picked up a menu and thought I would give them a try.
Great service and food, no need to look anymore, will be ordering again very soon.

Visited twice on our trip up the canal and back. It will be a regular watering hole from now on. No food served, whilst we were there, but a good selection of bar snacks
