4 Northgate St, LauncestonLovely visit while passing through Launceston. We enjoy drinks with a sausage roll and a cheese and herb roll, both of which were delicious. The side salad was the best bit - so much more than the salad leaves and tomatoes I was expecting as a garnish. Friendly staff, a nice welcome and we timed out arrival perfectly before the deluge of rain. Highly recommend.

The Springer Spaniel
Treburley, LauncestonVisiting Callington for a week. The Springer Spaniel was recommended to us. We all had fabulous mini fish and chips with delightful mushy peas. Service was very efficient. We really enjoyed our meals.

Rising Sun Inn Launceston
Altarnun, LauncestonA total coincidental find: following a day out in west Cornwall we did a little google search for a nice place (a little) closer to home and it took us here. It surely did not disappoint. The pub is cosy and has an inviting charm; all staff were super friendly and attentive. We ordered a variety of starters to share (the sardines were incredible), and a couple of mains. Every single dish was thoughtfully put together and presented and packed with flavour. We will absolutely be back and might try their rooms (once opened at some later stage). Thank you for a fabulous evening

New House Farm, LauncestonWe just had lunch here sitting out in the field with our 2 children. All the staff we encountered were absolutely lovely. The food was divine. The beetroot and Feta quiche was the best we've had in a long time and the cheese scone plate also delicious. Good portion sizes for a reasonable price. We will absolutely be back when passing through the area.

Frog and Bucket
South Petherwin, LauncestonStopped by on a rainy afternoon for a quick bite, was expecting some standard pub grub which, while it's available, is not the only fare on offer. The pies are out of this world, we had the Steak & Stilton and the Lamb & Mint whilst the kids had some fish and chips; all of the food was really really good, and great value too.
On top of that the staff were friendly and really accommodating to our little ones. First rate ??

The Moat Restaurant at The Eagle House
3 Castle St, LauncestonSituated near the town centre it's a very up market place. There is parking in and around the area but some entrances are quite narrow so be careful. It's quite an old hotel come restaurant and bar area. There is ample seating both inside and outside. To the rear there is an outside area with lovely views across Launceston. And if the sun is out it's idyllic. I was lucky as it was a beautiful day. This place is an hotel but I've not experienced that side of it. But it doesn't come cheap. It's very clean and well decorated. As you go into the bar area there's a still as they make their own gin. Very nice I'm told but expect to pay for what it is. There is a good selection of wines, spirits and beers and also soft drinks. A good variation of cocktails to. But again they do not come cheaply. I had Guinness one of my favourite drinks and it was nice and cold. The service was with a smile and very welcoming. A credit to the place. It's a lovely relaxing atmosphere and I was quite chilled. We had food of which there's a reasonable selection . I chose the house cod and chips with extra of mushy please. Then followed by apple and berry crumble with ice cream. Was a lovely flavour. Prices vary depending on what you have but expect it to be a little higher than pub grub. But it was nice so for me worth it. Although a bit pricey I enjoyed my time there and would go back again.

Launceston Retail Park, Hurdon Road Launceston Foodhall, Hurdon, LauncestonThis is the only store that we use to do our food shop and travel from Okehampton at least once a week.The staff are all extremely friendly, cheerful and helpful. The store is clean, tidy and well stocked. There is a good range of products, all of superior quality and great value. We won't entertain shopping anywhere else and the fact that Okehampton has, what could be classed as a competing supermarket but we still travel to Launceston must say something about how good M & S Launceston is.Thank you!

White Hart Arcade, 10 Madford Ln, LauncestonI'm glad I came across this little cafe, just round the corner from the car park. It does decent food at a reasonable price, and the hot drinks are cheaper than most other coffee shops. Worth a visit.

21 Westgate St, LauncestonThey don’t do food anymore but they let us have a takeaway here and just overall really friendly. The locals are funny as well. Just an overall welcoming pub. Was actually nice to not go somewhere full of tourists… despite being a tourist. Lovely to meet the friendly locals. 100% recommend.

4 Westgate St, LauncestonThis was a lovely place to eat. We had a cheese and chip butty. The butty was huge. Chips in the butty and on the plate. It was a decent price £5 pounds. The lady, what served us was lovely, had a quiet good selection of lunches, breakfast and hot and cold drinks.

Great value for money. Coffees are always nice too. The lady who served us recently with the blue hair gave great service - she was very friendly and made my latte with plenty of cream, tasted lovely :)

Unit 1D, Launceston Retail Park, Hurdon Rd, LauncestonExcellent service, welcoming staff and coffee made very quick (possibly the fastest of any Costa I've been to!). Only thing I would say is, would be great if the owner(s) could fix the wifi as its been virtually unusable for some time now.
