9 Higher Fore St, RedruthProbably the best fish and chips (and battered sausage and chips) we've ever had. Plus the staff were incredibly friendly and polite. We're local but I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Fore St, St Day, RedruthReally friendly traditional pub - the owners Paul and Sarah are great people and make you feel very welcome, they remembered my favourite drink even though I only visit St Day a couple of times each year! The locals all chat with you so no feeling like an out of place tourist. Loads of screens for watching all the live sport, and has a decent pool table and dart board. And always has entertainment scheduled each week. Highly recommend a visit!!!

The service is excellent. The staff are so warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble when you have a fussy eater. They will do all they can to accommodate everyone’s needs. Guys you’re doing a great job and we’ll be back again soon.

A393, Comford, RedruthHad a absolutely lovely Sunday carvery today, my sister and I plus our 3 dogs all very welcome. Had beef and turkey, really yummy, then had a lemon roulade with raspberry sorbet, was gorgeous. The staff really friendly, no long wait for drinks and your booking is for a 2 hour slot so don't feel rushed at all. Would recommend ?

38 Fore St, RedruthI recently had pizza at YFC, and honestly, it was so good. The crust was perfectly baked crispy on the outside, soft inside, and the toppings were super fresh and generous. You can tell they don’t cut corners with quality. The flavor balance was just right, and every bite was satisfying.
The place had a nice vibe too clean, quick service, and friendly staff. Definitely one of the better pizza experiences I’ve had recently. I’ll be coming back for more!

The Square, Portreath, RedruthAn absolute gem of a place, a fantastic location on the north coast of Cornwall. Lots of parking, the meals were lovely, the room was really comfortable and quiet. The best thing were all the staff, you couldn't ask for the wrong thing, really friendly and accommodating and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone else

It’s a really friendly proper pub , the girl on the bar was so friendly and knowledgeable about the ales on sale and does the pub a credit.. so much better than drinking in a generic hotel bar . I will definitely make this my pub of choice when I am in the area again ..

Gwel an Mor Resort, Feadon Ln, Portreath, RedruthAte here over the weekend as a large party, 11 of us, including the kids. They were very supportive of some dietary requirements, including my request to separate my autistic daughters dessert out ?
The food was delicious, with a very good selection. I could easily go back and choose something else a good few times, which I'm sure would be just as good. There wasn't a single complaint from anyone around the table about their meal, which backs this up.
The staff were all polite, respectful and happy to help wherever they could; even as the place filled up part way through our meal.
If I'm ever down this way again, I would definitely visit again!

The Bridge Inn
Bridge Hill, Bridge, RedruthWent here at 12pm just as it opened. Inside its very existence is stuck in the past but that is what gives it its charm. Basically mostly used by the locals. I had a Sunday roast here a few weeks back and enjoyed it. So thought I would try it again. One thing I can say is that the meal is consistent in providing home cooked food. Once again I enjoyed it. Plus there are different portion sizes depending on how hungry you are. The only thing having a Sunday roast and half a bitter shandy is trying to walk back up that steep hill back to my place of residence. The lovely attentive lady who served me told me a more scenic route to get back to the village. Across the fields. A much more pleasant trek after such a nice meal. I will definitely be attending here again. The only negative thing is the toilets could do with a clean and an update.

Excellent Middle-Eastern dishes packed with wonderful, subtle flavours and gentle spice, all in the candlelit setting of an ancient stone castle. Well worth navigating the narrow, very potholed track to get there.

The Golden Lion Inn
RedruthI haven’t been here since Glen has taken the pub over and I have to say that I am so glad I did. My friends and I had the salmon, belly pork (mouth watering) and the lasagne and all three dishes were cooked perfectly and all dishes were reasonably priced and o woukd say yoi get more than what you pay for. The staff were lovely and of course the location is stunning. I will be returning every time I am near and feel peckish. If you haven’t been before I certainly recommend the Golden Lion, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to Glen and her team for a lovely lunch.

Fish Bar, Lanner, RedruthWe contacted lanner chippy regarding catering for our wedding down the road at Chycara, this is not something they had done before, but they were more than happy to get on board! The communication and support from Brogan and Andy was amazing. They delivered over 50 portions of fish and chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. They were on time, piping hot, and delicious! Every guest I spoke to thought it was amazing and the best food they'd had at a wedding! I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone getting married locally! Honestly thank you guys so much! ♥️

Proper food, proper portions and proper prices, a great selection of drinks and cakes. Their weekly global themed specials never disappoint, and their regular menu has something for everyone. Relaxed seating and our dogs happily chill under the table as we eat. Been for lunch today, and will be back at the weekend for dinner!

It let the place down, and will rethink about coming back. By the time you get your meat and yorkshire pud, no room for the lovely veg, or gravy. I like to have a bit of room for my food. Popped in on friends, asked if lanner bakery do frozen pasties, we went straight up there. They were still frozen 5 hours later. As perfect as ever, trying to savour them. 40 minutes GM 5/6, hey presto dinner ?. Pepper is to taste. Plenty of filling & the meat, is lovely & tender, we also eat the crust. This was a phone call & off the cuff, parking 2/3 depends on size.

The chow main was sooooo delicious we couldn’t get enough, we haven’t enjoyed a take away like that in years. Even the chips was done to perfection. Cornwall College, Trevenson Rd, Pool, RedruthExcellent training collage which is shown by the brilliant Xmas lunch we had. It does the students and staff great credit. Really exceptional was the Cranbury source, the best i have ever had and the mince pies. The Christmas pudding was also a dream. Now why cannot our local restaurants do the same ??? I will see how our Christmas lunch at a nearby 4 star hotel compares, for what it costs it should.

The staff here are amazing given how busy it was. Food and ice cream was great and not over priced. Good choice of drinks available and very friendly, certainly 5 stars

The Shaft Inn

The food in the Shaft Inn is top drawer and the Sunday roasts just get better and better and the reason for our return visit today . The bar is up with the best and draught keg beer dispensed spot on served correctly in branded glasses with the branding faced towards the customer . My wife had perfectly presented Gin and Tonic twice and in large bowl stemmed glasses to maximise presentation again . We can only say “thankyou to all” here as always . You’ve cracked it !!

Robartes Arms
Robartes Terrace, Illogan, RedruthGreat pub and friendly atmosphere with live music on some nights. Stayed at a campsite near by to do body boarding at a near by beach and always ended up back at this great pub. Pat was especially welcoming and always had the time to chat to you whilst serving a great pint. Highly recommend. See you back there next September!
