I went here recently with my two sons and wife and the food was awesome! The staff are very friendly, the entire place felt like a small cabin that should be somewhere half way up a mountain, located in a quiet part of town. I can't wait to go back!

I was excited to visit this highly-rated restaurant, and it did not disappoint. Upon entry, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly waiter and promptly seated. The ocean-inspired decor is modern, simple, and clean, perfectly capturing the essence of the restaurant without being overdone. I particularly admired the ship rope decor!\n\nWe started with the mussels and scallops, and I can confidently say the mussels were some of the best I’ve ever had—I could have easily enjoyed another kilogram! For our main courses, we ordered the lobster, fish of the day, and the kiev, all of which were delightful and incredibly fresh. Everything was cooked to perfection, and we were especially impressed by the kiev, so much so that we attempted to replicate it at home!\n\nOverall, this was an outstanding experience, enhanced by the wonderful staff and exceptional food. I highly recommend it!

Staying not far from here, we decided to pay a visit for dinner. They made us a space which was graciously accepted (it was a quiz night and every table reserved!) and boy was we in for a treat. The Wife had the salmon and prawn tagliatelle which she really enjoyed (if you knew Wife, that's an outstanding feat!) and I had the Bacon and Egg burger which came with fries, onion rings and a think was a home made slaw. I could be swayed to say if was the best burger I have had in many years! The fries were perfectly crisp and delicious, the onion rings we beautiful and the slaw which never seems to get enough attention was perfect.
The atmosphere of the pub was wonderful with a busy and pleasing laughter, noice and conversation.
The staff were friendly and very welcoming!
If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend this lovely pub.

The place is beautiful! We ate the best pancakes we have ever had… the flavour combination is unbelievable (we had the yoghurt - granola and compote ones, and the apple and honeycomb ones- with bacon added on the side ?). I had mine gluten free and you couldn’t taste the difference between them and normal ones ?.

The girls looking after us were super sweet and very helpful.

Overall an amazing experience, we really enjoyed it… sadly I forgot to take pictures of the food when it came because it all looked so good we went straight in!!! But here are a few photos we took when we came in and when we left. We will be 100% back next time we are in Cornwall.

Cafe Nero in Boscawen street Truro is my go-to for a coffee break when I am out shopping , in my opinion the very best coffee in town! I like the variety on offer, and the relaxed atmosphere.\nThe staff are brilliant, really skilled baristas, but more than that, they are cheerful, friendly and welcoming. \nI am happy to be guided by my coffee choices( I buy the pods for my nespresso machine at home), and when I am loaded up with shopping they offer to bring my coffees over to me .\nA shout out to Dave, Ligita, Taylor and Kieran, a great team setting a lovely atmosphere.

Really like Nepalese food so opted for a takeaway on our first night in Truro - mainly based on the reviews. \n\nWe weren’t disappointed! Arrived 15 minutes before they opened, but really friendly staff still opened the restaurant early to allow my wife to order our takeaway (which we asked to be ready for an hour later as I wanted to go for a pint). Ready on our return, the food was excellent - and different (in a nice way) from Nepalese I’ve had before. \n\nSo good, we had a second takeaway later on our trip. This was just as good as our first. \n\nHighly recommended.

Dish catered for our wedding and it is the best food and service I have experienced at any event I have attended. Every single thing on the menu was delicious - we had canapes, starter boards, mains and 3 puddings - ranging from fresh crab, to calamari, to sirloin of beef, to out-of-this-world mini-sticky toffee puddings. They tailored our menu to exactly what we wanted and the presentation of their food is stunning. Sophie and her team are simply great people, and they go above and beyond to make sure that your special day exceeds your expectations. I cannot recommend Dish highly enough and I truly thank them for the huge part they played in the best day of our lives.

We visited ASK Truro early evening 31 July prior to attending a performance at the Cathedral.\nStaff were really friendly and accommodating -even when we asked if we could move tables from the empty side room into the main eating area . We sat near the kitchen ,which we have done previously, and is quite entertaining with the clearly good relationships and fun banter between the very busy staff. The food was really nice and ticked all the boxes. Would fully recommend for couples and families

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at The Heron Inn, and we were absolutely blown away by both the food and the service. We were looked after by a lovely young lady and a gentleman named Abel, and they couldn’t have been more attentive. I honestly can’t believe there are any negative reviews about this place it’s easily my favourite restaurant! The whole team is so warm and welcoming, but Abel really stood out. The atmosphere is relaxed yet inviting, and I’m already counting down the days until our next visit.

I had the halloumi fries which had an amazing sweet chilli jam and the loaded nachos which were like lovely mini fried pitta breads. Growing up in Callestick, it has been nice to go home and see how it's changes, the car park is a lot more spacious with open field benches for families to enjoy whilst kids play on the equipment. There used to be animals in the car park courtyard but have sadly been removed.

I won a valentine's day prize for 2 via their Instagram page and was treated with a loaded shake, a choice of either a sundae or a hot waffle (I went for the hot waffle) and a 500ml tub of a flavour of your choice which I went for the triple chocolate ice cream! The price was for two so me and a good friend went there and was served by Caitlin who was friendly and always lovely to talk too! The atmosphere is quiet and friendly, especially in the sun outside. It's a shame the viewing room is closed but I understand when a small company gets bigger they need more space!!

It's always a pleasure coming back to Callestick as it brings me back to being a young child going for ice cream after school. Thank you for keeping Callestick ice cream farm going! It looks as beautiful as ever!

Wheelchair accessible, with vegetarian sorbet options too! The outside courtyard is always clean and everyone is lovely!

Dietary restrictions: If you're lactose intolerant, unfortunately there isn't mean options apart from the sorbet.

What a lovely and family friendly pub! We went for a Sunday dinner from the local camp site and it was one of the best experiences we've had as a family. We do go to different pubs with our 4 kids and Norway Inn has come as Nr 1 on our list. The food was very delicious, no corners cut and served all on time. The waitresses and waiters were super friendly, funny and just a pleasure to interact with. They clearly enjoy working there. There were some board and card games which was such a nice touch as entertaining 4 young kids can be a challenge at times?
Overall 10 out 10, we wish we lived close by as this would be our favourite pub to go to if we did. Thank you to the chefs and waitressing staff, you've made our last day in Cornwall truly memorable.

I’ve been to Sam’s in the City in Truro before and had such a great time, so I was really looking forward to going back – this time with some work friends. The vibe was really friendly and relaxed, and the gentleman serving drinks and food upstairs was absolutely lovely super attentive and just made the evening feel really easy and enjoyable.\n\nI went for the steak, which was cooked just right and tasted amazing. Only downside was the coleslaw – it had a bit of a fishy taste, which wasn’t really my thing. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the menu was a great blend of familiar dishes as well as a lot that were new to us. Thank you Cornish arms for a great Sunday night! We don’t get out much these days but this was well worth it. Friendly local pub with a really nice atmosphere. Relaxed yet attentive service, a varied menu, delicious food served piping hot(venison pie with mash was amazing ) 3 real ales on tap, a range of low alcohol beers for the driver, all of which on top form and a great pool table with good cues and even a cue cloth and chalk!! It was just what we wanted as a quiet night out without the kids. I didn’t notice any screens or gambling machines (bonus!) good music in the background and locals playing euchre and chatting. Thanks again, keep up the good work!

Was on holiday for 1 week in Porstcatho, coming from New Zealand I have had my share of Fish & Chips ?. The Fish & Chips from the Boathouse were by far the best I have every had!. On holiday nearby and stumbled upon Our Plaice Chacewater. WHAT A GEM!!! best fish and chips we've had in Cornwall so far. Big fan of beef dripping so another thumbs up from me. A lovely, great cafe in the centre of Truro (somehow a hideous place, as not easily spotted). While entering the cafe gives you vibes of keen and interest having thoughts of “what’s special in here”!? The place is very relaxing and very homey, especially the staffs were fantastic, having smiles on their faces and very friendly, polite. Didn’t really felt unaccommodated or uncomfortable at all. Menu’s are available at every table though you need to order at the till. They have varieties of drinks, hot and cold options. Ordered victoria sponge cake, superb good! Order a takeaway on my way home last night from visiting my son in Truro and I was as greet very warmly and the service was great only took about 10 to 15 mins and the food was amazing very fresh and delicious will definitely be ordering from them, would highly recommended.

We were a family of four \nMy husband loved the big breakfast, jacket potato was nice and my daughter had a small breakfast \nI had ham egg and chips it was lovely but little expensive for what you got! I should have had the breakfast instead \nAll food was hot so knew was freshly cooked \nStaff were talking loud between themselves which was off putting! But would definitely return

It is refreshing in this day and age to know that such stalwarts as Malletts store still exist. In an age where Customer Service often means ringing a group of people, hundreds or thousands of miles away, who do not understand your issue and cannot help, it’s wonderful that there is a company who still believe in good old-fashioned, respectful customer care. Mallets is such a company. I had cause to speak to them today with regard to an electrical item I required and their advice was invaluable. Robert handled my call and he was polite, respectful, listened to my request and advised me on the best options for my scenario. We need more companies like Malletts who believe in serving their customers to the best of their ability to find the best solution for their issue, rather than try and sell me something I don’t want, don’t need and won’t solve my problem. 100% top marks to Robert and Malletts, long may they remain in Truro! Thank you.

Easily the best beer garden in Helston, a truly lovely place to watch the sun set all year round. A fantastic pub with an ever changing section of draft pints/drinks. Cannot fault the Red Lion, highly recommend to anyone in the Helston area.

We stopped by after a long drive from London on Tuesday and Megan was opening the coffee shop. The shop was clean and presentable from the night before and the barista was extremely accommodating. It was lovely to see her interacting with the regulars, remembering their usual and the stories they had told her, all while providing a clean and fast service. Thank you so much for our peppermint tea and heating up our mince pie. Keep doing what you're doing Megan, because you are putting smiles on people's faces. I didn't catch the name of the colleague working with you that came a bit later but the two of you work really well together, especially as it got busier. Well done and thank you again!
