Main St, TunstallOne of the most impressive little finds I've been to in a long time.
Lovely and attentive staff, excellent atmosphere, food that's not just generic pub grub but actually tasty and amazing choices at what these days is a decent price. Feels like fine dining in a beautiful setting and normal pub prices and the food was to die for. Definitely added to my list of favourites to return to.

Number Nine Bar & Kitchen
9 Market St, Kirkby Lonsdale, CarnforthWe had a last minute emergency and had to change our restaurant booking. Number Nine accommodated us with no fuss and I have to say the evening was first class. The food was exceptional and the service spot on. Great to see excellence in our little local town. A definite recommendation.

The Royal Barn Kirkby Lonsdale

Breakfast next day was very nice, and the lady serving breakfast was very friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend this hotel when visiting Kirkby Lonsdale

Plato's, Bar, Restaurant with Rooms
2 Mill Brow, Kirkby Lonsdale, CarnforthWent into Platos last night with my other half and the two kids, can’t recommend this place enough. Inside is very nice and outside is stunning as well. All the food we had was amazing, the kitchen staff are great and I want to give a massive shout out to our server Ben who absolutely made our night, made us feel very welcome. 10/10

64 Main St, Kirkby Lonsdale, CarnforthFantastic haven in the middle of Kirkby Lonsdale. Outside area is covered, with both fans and electric heaters for use in different weather conditions. Staff lovely. Whole decor is so inventive and newly refurbished. Highly recommend.

Bar Avanti, 57 Main St, Kirkby Lonsdale, CarnforthGreat food. Staying nearby and wandered in. What great food. The Vegetarian Tart is fantastic! The mushroom bruschetta perfect! The burger was fantastic too! Something for everyone. And all done great. The outdoor seating area was quiet and very relaxing.

The Snooty Fox

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and the chef was more than happy to accommodate our dietary requirements. Apparently the pub is under new ownership with a new chef who makes everything from scratch himself. The food was delicious and service excellent. Our little dog was spoiled rotten with a lovely bowl of roast beef!!! The price wasn’t bad either. We would definitely visit again.

Lunesdale Bakery
50 Main St, Kirkby Lonsdale, CarnforthWas just outside Kirby for a relaxing weekend and a friend recommended I visit. Oh wow am I glad I did. Such a nice little bakery and cafe. So friendly. Had to go back before I came home to grab a few more goodies. Got myself an Italian chicken butty too and I can hand on heart say it is the best butty I have ever had. I will drive back just for a cake and butty.
