Aikton, WigtonWe visited on a Friday evening while on holiday and with it only a 2 minute walk away decided we should spend our last evening here. Best decision ever, fitted us in last minute, made to feel really welcome and the food......WOW.
We had the dirty burger and could smell it cooking and it smelt amazing. Service was so fast and it tasted even better than it smelt. Large portions and all home made, was so nice to taste teal homemade food instead of the usual fare served up at the chain pubs. Daughter had burger of children's menu and that was just as good. We all had desserts and these were also so delicious and once again didn't hold back on portion size. We all left full and was just the perfect end to our holiday. If we are ever in the area again will definitely be back.

Staff: Service was quick, staff is very responsive, patient, polite and friendly.
Ambiance: They have cozy seating area, I, however, had already asked for take away but it was very fast, freshly made and properly packed.

35 High St, WigtonWhat a gem! We’re so glad we stumbled upon this place while on holiday in the area. My wife is gluten intolerant, and grabbing a quick takeaway can often be a bit of a nightmare, but not here. The staff were incredibly attentive, listened carefully, and went out of their way to help, all with big smiles on their faces. We never felt like a burden.
And the food? Absolutely packed with flavour! If I lived nearby, this would hands down be my go to Friday night treat.

Top class staff and Adam is a top class bloke, we drove from Penrith to get our pizza and were thinking of making this a regular thing... I have been going to this pizza shop about 15 years and still it's the best by far

10 West St, WigtonGreat pub. As a visitor to the area, I was a bit apprehensive of going to a 'locals pub' but I'm so glad I did! Everyone was welcoming and the fire was fantastic on a wet day. Overwhelmed by the kindness and hospitality if the landlady. Fab place, cant wait to return someday.

Unit 4/5 The Old Stable Block, Crofton, ThursbyOur first time visiting today. We will certainly be back . So much choice for gluten free I was blown away. Actually made me feel quite normal as I had such a fantastic choice. Staff are absolutely delightful, so friendly & nothing was too much. Soup of the day was delicious & my gluten free scone with jam & cream was out of this world.

Bothel, WigtonWe go at least once a month at lunch time.Never had any complaints in over 8 years.Service is very quick even when very busy.Prawn salad with chips today.Perfect.As usual we took home scones and cream slices for later.Their Christmas dinners are unbelievable value.

Andy’s eat your way round the world meals are always not to be missed. However last night , the meal from Japan was worthy of any high end restaurant but at a price which was excellent value. How lucky are we to have such great food in our tiny village!

Great friendly service, on time, we collected so a nice discount. It was absolutely delicious, and great value for money. I loved all the little extras .

Although we had a take away we viewed inside and decided we would be back in the summer to dine in. The restaurant is beautiful and has a lovely feel to it.

20 King St, WigtonBrilliant fish shop with happy staff. The chips were cooked perfectly, not cooked quickly causing them to be undercooked like some places. The fish was cooked perfect. No sloppy batter between the fish and top layer of the batter and the fish was not paper thin. It was flaky and plenty of it. We also had haggis which was also lovely. We will visit again. Cheers.

42-44 King St, WigtonMe and my dad wanted something to eat early on so we decided on the spotted cow. Used to come here all the time when younger. I was going to have a light bite but my eyes got stuck on the all day breakfast, with a pot of tea, toast and marmalade, dad pinched the marmalade. it was so good and plenty of it, dad got scrambled egg on toast and a big pot of tea. Good atmosphere and good crack, all the staff we're spot on and made sure everything was okay.
Many thanks for a great breakfast and we will be back.

Bothel, WigtonLovely welcome into the pub today. We both had Sunday dinners. Lamb and beef. They have Hawkstone cider and lager on draught too which was great. They were very helpful to an elderly couple and their families too. Nothing was a problem. This was our 2nd visit here and we will go back again.
