The Elephant Restaurant

I liked it here. The room is bright and airy, being nicely furnished and decorated. The staff are both pleasant and efficient. I thought the food had some unusual combinations. These were skillfully combined to provide a super tasty meal. After all you go to a high end restaurant to experience something different and The Elephant delivered for me. I had a most enjoyable lunch with a relaxed vibe. I also think it's really good value for money.

The Willow Tree

Really enjoyed visiting this place. We booked a table and let them know ahead of time that we needed somewhere quiet for our daughter who has autism. They found out a lovely table right out of the way and then they went out of their way to let us know another group would be letting off poppers and asked if that was ok. Its actually been a long while since we have been out because it is often too overwhelming for my daughter but our experience today made me want to try and do these things more often. The food was lovely the staff were kind and not in your face. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Las Iguanas - Torquay

Lovely Bar and Restaurant. I have never been to any of the Las Iguanas chains before but if the standards are set as highly as their restuarant in Torquay than can we have one in every town please? ? Food was hot and yummy . Staff were excellent and very patient , especially when we presented £80 worth of One4All cards we keep forgetting to use . Isabella , Wills and Gabs gave awesome service would go there again 10/10 .

TURKISH KEBAB & PIZZA

We went there yesterday for the first time..Family of 4. We loved the food and the staff was very friendly as well. We will happily return again!.
Ps. The home made garlic sauce was finger-licking good! ?

MEAT59 Torquay

An interesting burger place that is simple and which offers ab unusual range of meals. Not much seating available so wise to book and if you fancy your burgers a little different this is the place to go. For us burgers were a little too fancy which resulted in one losing the taste of meat.

Service was good, but if you’re looking for something a little more comfy and luxurious then this is the place to be

Amici

The food is great, the atmosphere is fantastic (just the right combination of busy, cosy and intimate), but the best part of our visit was the Service. Natasha is phenomenal, by far the best host we have experienced in years, incredibly attentive without being pushy, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her guests, an asset to this restaurant.

JUNJAOW THAI Restaurant

Food, ambiance, deco and staff amazing. Caters for all forms of diets. Vegan, vegetarians and meat/poultry eaters.
Great to see chefs cooking and the cleanliness of the restaurant.
Highly recommended.

Mr Cook Steak & Grill House

Always an absolute joy to dine here, tonight we brought a vegetarian friend here for his birthday.

The music is like a Samba hug, the friendly welcome and superb unrushed service such a relaxing change and then there's the food. So many superb flavours to enjoy, freshly cooked and enticingly presented.

Delicious fun cocktails to start the evening and a superb Rioja to accompany the meal.

The Dock

We had a fantastic evening at The Dock Café & Bistro in Torbay ?. We opted for dinner and couldn’t resist exploring their tapas menu — it did not disappoint! The pulled beef croquettes were absolutely delicious ?, and the panko fish was another standout ?✨.

We paired our meal with some excellent local brews ? before switching to the Torbay Fizz ? — a must-try, especially while watching the sun set over the harbour ?. The combination of great food, lovely drinks, and that view made for a truly memorable night. Highly recommend!

Smokey Joe's

Food is flavoursome and made from fresh, the staff are absolutely amazing and the service is very impeccable..highly recommmed this place! big shouts out to Simon, Jenna, Nathan, Crazy Carl and the rest of the team! mind regards⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rock Garden Cafe Bar

Could not fault the food or the service. Nice little touches for the children, like a Christmas present and decorate a gingerbread man. Staff were attentive and very friendly. The food was beautiful. We have already booked to come back next year.

Yates - Torquay

Went here to watch England game, great atmosphere, Fantastic security staff kept the rowdy idiots under control u always get the odd few, good size pub great staff good selection of drinks highly reccomend

The Kent's

I had a lovely meal at The Kents, as always! The Kents, has a delightful ambiance. The decor is to a high standard. It is most definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend the Chocolate, Stout Cake, with Cherries.

Soho Cocktail Bar

Fantastic service, both blokes behind the bar on Tuesday night 2nd of September 2025 gave exceptional service to me and my friend, 10000/10000

Greggs

Greggs is a chain, so churns out mass produced food for the masses! It's a convenient place to stop off, whilst fuelling the car or van. The baguettes are good, as are the doughnuts for a treat. Not good for you, but still tasty! The staff are always friendly and cheerful, despite relentless work!

Parking: At busy times, it can be tricky to park, use Google maps app to avoid the busiest times!

The Orange Tree Restaurant

The food is delicious, very nicely presented and tasted soooo good.
All the staff were attentively perfect and very warm and friendly.
Would recommend to all as a place to enjoy great food in comfortable surroundings.

Bull & Bush

We have been to this pub many times. Bonnie is so welcoming and friendly. Rich is a brilliant chef. We've never had a bad meal. Food and plates are all piping hot. Nice variety on the menu. They both take great pride in making this a family friendly pub. We enjoy going here as a large family with a mixture of all ages in our group. From young children to Grandparents. This pub has a lovely atmosphere.

Beacon Quay Torquay

Visited whilst on holiday in Devon, usual Harvester Fayre, salad bar usually good quality, meats and meals usual good quality.\n\nNothing to set the world on fire but You know what your getting in a Harvester and you leave with a full Belly at a reasonable cost, especially if you download the app there is regularly deals to be had. \n\nLocation of this particular restaurant was very nice, with the harbour just outside and staff friendly and attentive. \n\nCan’t really ask for more.

Rockfish - Torquay

Me and my husband went here two days a row on our honeymoon, we couldn’t get enough! The food was just perfect: beautifully cooked in simple dishes to show off the natural qualities of each type of fish, always paired with delicious house made sauces and sides. Even classics like fish and chips were elevated, and seemed to just melt in the mouth. \n\nBoth days we were waited on by Riley, who was charming, welcoming and very helpful (and could memorise the name, description and price of about 8 daily specials a day which we thought was super impressive!). We also had lovely service from Calla, who made a table for us especially for our honeymoon with some lovely art, and was very sweet in wishing us congratulations.

First time in paignton Searched for Good ole Home food and found this Food was spot on had veg jalfrezi veg biryani and veg butter masala even though not on menu it was made
The food flavours and taste was spot on piping hot If i ever end up back from up north in these part of the world i know where to go for some good food

Happy Chef

What an experience out of the best Chinese takeaway in Torbay. The service was excellent with a kind young man at the counter, and food was quick to be served and was hot. The food was plentiful, with an explosion of flavours dancing on my tastebuds, making my grin widen with every bite. Portion sizes were perfect, with enough to enjoy and some extra to save. Will be put in my books as an excellent Chinese takeaway, although nothing can be perfect. 非常好 ❤️.

Green Chillies

Best Indian I’ve even had seriously the tandoori mixed grill was amazing and the tandoori butter chicken amazing too finally found a decent Indian even the wife loved it and she hates Indian takeaways usually. Thank you

Amazing food, friendly staff and very quick service! Portions were super generous and incredible value for money. Don't be fooled by the dated look of the place, this hit the spot!

Pizza Hut Delivery

Only ever collected as I'm out of the delivery area. You can park outside but it's usually busy so it can be hard to get a space. Other than that the staff have always been friendly.The food is usually good. Garlic bread is a bit hit and miss at times in terms of freshness and the Deep Pan pizzas are very oily but I guess that comes down to personal preference - that's just my opinion.I'd still get pizza from here :)Parking: On street parking but often busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly.

Prezzo Italian Restaurant Torquay

Went in on busy Saturday night.Very good service provided by Tansy and Voj ,very attentive and always there to assist with our needs.Food and drinks were delicious.The building is beautiful and atmosphere was lovely.

Pappa's

Hands down the best pizzas ever. Pappa johns nah never heard of them pappas in torre is where the party’s at and the chilli con carne jacket potato is really good and I dont like mars bars but their battered mars bars are banging and don’t get discouraged with how the look cause they’re 10/10

Old Vienna Restaurant

Absolutely stunning meal from Werner and the team. Everything was top quality, the lobster ? bisque was very luxurious, the duck ? tasted amazing and the biggest surprise was the chestnut ? ice cream which was divine ?. It gets a big thumbs up from Rigsbys Seasonal Foods ????‍??

No 7 Fish Bistro & Wine Bar

We had our 33rd wed anniversary dinner here, just the two of us, the service is exceptional, the food , if you like fish, look no further, it was fantastic, i had Hake my wife had monkfish, we also had a muscle scallop starter , and a squids starter, the cheese board and a brandy snap ice cream, we have eaten in many many places from London to Scotland and abroad, this place was outstanding, we are moving to the area and will be regulars, justto add nxt door has a michelin star, i think the michelin people missed a trick by not visiting no7, which of course in my opinion just be called No1, or as i told Paul the Orca , a big thank you to all the staff, a real old school resturant experience, all happy smiley people , oh yer no phones what a bonus.

Chelston Manor

A wonderful local pub with a chef that really knows how to cook. Food is delicious and great portions. We eat here quite often as locals and it never disappoints. Service is always quick and very attentive and friendly staff.

The Offshore Bar and Restaurant

This restaurant serves high quality locally caught fish in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Indoor seating is limited so I am glad we made a reservation The accompanying white wine was excellent. Service from the young staff was prompt and helpful I enjoyed the crab salad and my partner had scallops.

Yum Sing

Beautiful building with a charming décor. Our waitresses were wonderful. They were very warm and friendly, full of recommendations and advice on what dishes to pick. Good portion sizes and you can take home leftovers. They even let us stay late after closing time! And they serve a beautiful Belvedere Lychee Martini, very smooth x

Royal Hotel and Carvery

Once again had a delicious carvery. I had pork, it’s so tasty. Lots of lovely vegetables and great roast potatoes. The gravy is also very good. Staff are always pleasant and helpful and the views are stunning. Would definitely recommend.

Bread & Butter

Fantastic from Brunchys. First time using them under the new banner and management and what an improvement! It felt clean and tidy, service with a smile and phenomenal value for money. Dangerous for me as its opposite my house! The salads do look delightful too though! 10/10

Memories Bistro

Jessie was the perfect host, so helpful -could not do enough for us. We were a big group and all the food was still prompt and delicious, between our group we tried most of the menu and were all really enjoyed it! If you're looking for a friendly intimate place with delicious food - this is the place. We'll definitely be back again - thank you Jessie ?

The Divers Arms

So glad they have started doing food again at the Divers!
Best plated roast I've had in an extremely long time, very delicious and enjoyable sat in the glorious beer garden.
I can highly recommend the roast dinners, and I've also been lucky enough to sample their home made chilli which is out of this world.
The upcoming summer menu looks amazing and I can't wait to try it all.
I will be back for sure!

Pizzas 2 GO

Good quality food at a decent price, fed 5 adults and a toddler for £55 delivered. Came quickly with all the condiments everything we ordered had special requests and all were spot on. Definitely be ordering again soon

We always get a satisfying takeaway from this place. I particularly like the salt and pepper chilli chicken. My son, who used to live and eat in a big city, thinks the menu is not as varied and innovative as some he has seen. But everything we have tried has been good.Parking: There is limited parking on the road outside. However it is also very close to bus stops.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. It was my first time at Subway, and they were very helpful and patient. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. Everything was quite clean as well. Was a very pleasant experience.

Shiphay Chippy

Just had a haddock and chips at the end of the Bearded Theory Festival from these guys. I wish I had started my festival 4days with them and come back daily. Fantastic!! Just like fish and chips from the seaside.

Crusoes Fish Bar

New to the area, found Crusoe's online and incidentally ordered online for convenience. Excellent service, very efficient on a busy service night, fish was cooked perfectly and chips were nice and crisp. Very happy.

Oriental Touch

Excellent value for money - especially with how expensive everything is getting! This place is easily the first choice Chinese food for the family. Would recommend in after 7pm in the evening if you’d like to avoid rush hours (it’s a rather popular restaurant).

The Green Ginger - JD Wetherspoon

First time in a Spoons for 15 years so no recent comparisons. Went for a late lunch for three the day after Boxing Day. 90% full and very busy. Staff not fully keeping up, we deep cleaned our own table to save time, picking up some grime that would have collected over months.

Ordering is entirely online via QR code and table number. The web based ordering was a bit of a faff if you're unfamiliar, with its disappearing shopping basket. Great atmosphere at this Torquay venue, everyone enjoying themselves and some folks happily drinking on the terrace in December!

On paying by Apple Pay, the drinks seemed to appear within one minute and food - 3 Christmas specials - just minutes after that.

Haven't encountered anything so efficient since trips abroad. And £45 for 3 mains and a pint each for 3 was a Christmas miracle in itself. Food properly hot and quality good at the price point. Service charge not solicited, so was happy to tip at the bar on leaving and hope it was put in the shared box.

Chandlers Chippy

The food is always excellent, very inexpensive for the portion size. The counter staff work really hard to provide exceptional customer service. We make a trip to Chandler's everytime we visit Torquay.

Subway

Ordered a chicken tikka sub and was served by a young man in glasses and a beard who was very polite and helpful. Food was pretty nice however the seating area was very dated and old, looks like it needs an update in there.

Domino's Pizza - Torquay

Had an issue with an order being late a few weeks ago, the area manager Sam personally re-made the pizza and sent them out. Also proceed to throw our next order tonight in for free as an apology, Big ups to Sam!
