Super pub lunch with our dog in this lovely pub. We both had the Haddock fish & chips, which was beautiful cooked and tasty and smothered with too many chips.
The service was efficient and friendly either way good selection of beers and wines.

Amazing eating experience from start to finish. Atmosphere was relaxing and the service was on point! Didn’t feel encroached by other diners.
Good choice of food and drink with good portion sizes.
Prices were very competitive, so was ecstatic to find that the quality was exquisite and would highly recommend.
Owner personally came over which gave it that extra special touch.
Would definitely recommend a visit and will be returning.

Rang in advance to check if booking was essential while on holiday, and managed to get a reservation quickly. Plenty of free parking and friendly service on arrival.

Kids’ menu was great value at £7 for starter, main and dessert. Our mains were good too – I had the steak at around £31, the only downside being that I asked for medium to well-done but it came out well-done.

Overall, a nice experience with good pricing and definitely worth the trip from Withernsea.

Great and attentive service from all of the staff members on. Even had water and pretzels brought to us and refilled with no prompt during visit and that was with a staff changeover.

I'm really not much of a cocktail person but the three I had were delicious. Whoever is on bar and/or designing the drinks knows what they are doing. They are spenny; but it's a very rare occasion where the drink and service justifies the price.

Hilarious menu; several audible guffaws so I apologise for ruining the otherwise rustic yet charming atmosphere.

Can't comment on the food though the menu looks good and I heard no complaints from tables that were.

Love the armchairs, but please water your Yucca.

If you want warming up have yourself a Penicillin because that stuff could cure the plague.

What a great place to spend our Friday night when we visited Hull. A lovely special boards along with the normal menu, we opted to share and ordered lamb burnt ends, fish finger butty and chips and the minted lamb hanging kebab , all absolutely smashing and we shared a slice of the Eaton mess cake as it looked delicious and was ...the drinks on offer were great too. I tried the cherry and peach beer and a lemon lager and hubby had Dayglo Drift. along with great staff and an excellent sound track we had a super evening and if we are ever in Hull again we will be back

Visited here today 15/8/25 Am. This was the 1st time for us! TRIPLE W O W!
We had the special board! Eggs benedict...Fantastic...served with a twist or 2, gorgeous runny egg, chicken in breadcrumbs, creamey sauce,, sage stuffing, etc etc etc....what a spectacular Infusion! Followed by 3 wedges of Brioche, egg toasted, with a small jug maple syrup.....Heavenly! Great vibe running through- out..waiter service friendly/ knowledgeable, felt very comfortable...at home! Great team! A credit to the Catering/ Hospitality Buisness. See you soooon.

On a visit to this part of Yorkshire with the East Suffolk u3a, our local Hull tour guide recommended a visit here to sample 'The best fish and chips in town'. The pub, established in 1817, was very busy with the two barmaids handing out endless samples of beer to foreign tourists who couldn't make up their minds what to order. Eventually, haddock and chips order duly placed, I settled at the only free table in the place and the meal arrived amazingly quickly, along with tartare sauce and mayonnaise. \nThe haddock was excellent, with lovely flakes of fish in a lovely light batter; the chips, to my taste, well underdone. More arrived when I mentioned the matter, but showed no improvement.\nNo WiFi and, when I enquired, was told that 'we prefer chat in here'. To which I responded, 'difficult when you are on your own'.\nThe pub has a lovely vibe about it so I felt very comfortable in it. But some fashion advice to one member of staff; don't wear a black thong under white linen trousers. Maybe it's my age.......

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One Steakhouse Review – “The Malbec Made Me Do It”

You know a place is serious about food when the calamari makes you want to text your ex just to brag. Starters were insane – the calamari was light and crisp (basically seafood heaven), the king prawns could’ve walked straight off a beach barbecue, and the scallops were so good I considered clapping.

Then came the steak. Perfectly seared outside, juicy inside – cooked exactly how I asked, which is rare enough to deserve a standing ovation. Pair it with the Malbec we ordered and suddenly I’m having deep, emotional conversations with my glass. Honestly, that bottle was so smooth it deserves its own TripAdvisor profile.

And let’s not forget the strawberry daiquiri – dangerously drinkable. Sweet, fresh, and the kind of cocktail that tricks you into thinking you’re on holiday until the bill arrives (which, by the way, was totally fair for the quality).

The staff? Friendly without being fake. Atmosphere? Modern but cosy. Overall? If heaven has a steakhouse, it probably looks a lot like this place. I’ll definitely be back – partly for the food, mostly for that Malbec.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at this place today. We are frequent visitors and find it goes from strength to strength. The young man on the bar when we went in today, Ross, has got to know us so well he had our drinks on our table before we'd ordered, having remembered what we have. Like all their staff, he is very friendly and efficient. I ordered a fish sandwich with salad for my wife and sausages and mash for myself. Both were delicious. There were a number of other customers in, but it was quiet enough to make conversation easy. I ordered a sticky toffee pudding for dessert, which was excellent. All in all another great experience on this visit. We'll definitely be back!

First visit to this restaurant last week to celebrate our wedding anniversary, chosen for our love for authentic Tapas and previous reviews.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience here. The restaurant was bright and airy, tastefully decorated with well laid out seating.

On arrival we were quickly shown to our intimate dining (VIP) booth, where the friendly knowledgeable staff took our orders.

The bar manager suggested alternatives to our chosen sherry and red wine. Both of which were excellent according to my wife.

The dishes were authentic, full of flavour and complimented by the choice of drinks were perfect

Overall this was a wise choice to dine here. The kind attentive staff, excellent food and drinks means a return visit again soon.

This really is a gem of a place. Behind the facade of the Embassy Hotel is a cosy cafe serving great food and drinks. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. We take our guide dog puppy when we are having our vehicles MOT’d and serviced nearby, the staff are great with her.
