We had the Syrian brunch which comprised around 6 different dishes plus lots of lovely flatbread. Will definitely return & I believe booking is advisable. Splendid.

Would highly recommend.

39 Norman Rd, Saint Leonards-on-seaFantastic food and atmosphere! Fresh juicy oysters. Would recommend the au naturel as they really need minimum toppings to enjoy. Mussels were big and so tender. Fish of the day was perfectly cooked, flaky with a crispy skin and vegetables seasoned just right. I am not a big fan of caramel but the salted caramel cheesecake had no faults. Great combination with the kashews
on top. The Peccorino was refreshing and bright.
Was looking for somewhere to eat after the Seven sisters walk from Seaford to Eastbourne and travelled to Hastings because of the reviews for this place - it did not disappoint!
It's a small place so I would recommend to book in advance.

It was my first visit and I was very impressed with the three-meat Carvery. There were plenty of roast potatoes as well as a wide selection of vegetables. All food was served piping hot and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. Judging from the large numbers of people eating, I was not the first to discover this delightfully and well run pub - restaurant. But do book otherwise you could well be disappointed. The Harrow has a good sized car park to the side.

Bay Spice, Eversfield Pl, Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-seaWe were a party of thirteen, four of whom were little children, and here for Grandad's birthday celebration. On arrival we were given a very friendly welcome and a beautifully laid out table. This restaurant has a wonderful interior with a great ambience even when not so busy. The waiters were so patient in dealing with this fairly unruly, loud group, and managed to get orders and initial drinks sorted out in quick and efficient order. The food proved to be marvellous, and was appreciated by all; the little ones enjoyed tasting the adults food, even the very spicy dishes!. We all vowed to come back soon; the Christmas menu did look very tempting!

Amazing fresh food, we enjoyed burrata, bread their own cured salmon and merguez sausage which where all superb, but the menu is diverse with loads of choices. The wine selection is also great. Staff are fab, knowledgeable, friendly but totally approacable. Can't recommend highly enough, great place, lovely food and ace drinks.

We were a group with different needs and not particularly easy ones, and our server as well as the person who responded to my email and questions, were nothing but kind, discret and humane. I was very touched by this. Thankyou.
The food was beautiful and “soigné” and we were very happy to find two vegetarian dishes that were as complete as a meat based proposition.

Food was tasty, ordered lamb biriani & veg curry, chicken chat puri, chicken curry, keema rice, saga loo cheese naan. The only fault (personal pref.) the peshwari naan was made with some sort of coconut butter only which didnt taste nice, instead of a mix of fresh n sweet coconut paste with saltanas.

Nice Chinese Takeaway
30 Tower Rd, Saint Leonards-on-seaWe erroneously made an order from just eats from Cambridge and did not notice that this reastuarant is from sussex. They called us why we could not get our order since it was already prepared. (8mins from ordering in the app). Since we went to a restaurant here in cambridge we realize we made a wrong order. The owner/staff from the Nice Chinese take away accommodated us and cancelled our order and processed our refund.

We visited for drinks the first time, and then returned the next day for Sunday roast lunch, it was exceptional, cooked to perfection, thank you ? Our only disappointment is that we don’t live more locally to this little gem of a place, we would definitely be regulars if we did! We will return one day tho for definite!

They also remember their regulars
My full English was perfik. I eschew mushrooms and this was fine by them (some places get grumpy about it?!)
They make a good flat white too i.e. not a half sized cappuchino. Silky milk not frothy with a minimal head just holding the coffee oil - mmmmm.
And there's plenty of goodies to take away from sticky buns to deli nibbles.

Three Faces of Del Parc
1 Western Rd, Saint Leonards-on-seaWe visited with friends last week and had such a wonderful time. The food was truly out of this world, even something as simple as olives was taken to another level, with each one individually stuffed to create an explosion of flavour!
We have family in Spain and visit every year, but the tortilla here was hands down the best we’ve ever had. In fact, the tapas in general were better than any we’ve tried in Spain, delicate, simple, and yet so well thought out. The chef clearly has an incredible palate for bold, punchy flavours.
We loved it so much that we returned the following week with family, and it lived up to everything we had told them about our first visit. The owner is warm, welcoming, and accommodating, a true one-man band who managed food, drinks, service, and clearing tables with absolute grace, all while still finding the time to chat.
This is one of the very few places in a long time that has ticked every single box for us. We’re so pleased to have discovered it. Thank you both for such an exceptional experience we can’t wait to return!

22-26 Norman Rd, Saint Leonards-on-seaArrived at what seemed to be peak time on a Friday, and the team opened an area for us otherwise it would have been full! Great cocktails and the staff at the bar were really fun. Food area was a bit overwhelming for me honestly, lots of people waiting to order and because of the tables and other bar, it felt very cramped and noisy and everyone was in everyone else's way. Everyone was in good spirits despite that. Didn't get to try the food I wanted to because the place stopped taking orders, but actually meant I tried something different which was wonderful - the sea bass at the Thai place. The spring rolls were amazing too.
After about an hour (so 8pm or so) the crowd thinned out and it was much more enjoyable, I think I'd swerve weekends or go a bit later in future.
I don't think it was advertised that Boatyard was closed for a few weeks either so was disappointed to not get to try it but next time!

13 Grand Parade, Saint Leonards-on-seaI’ll be honest, I took my daughter out for a coffee, and she wanted pancakes as a snack, and £10 I thought was a bit punchy for pancakes in Hastings.
However when it arrived it was pretty dam good, lots of fresh fruit, ice cream, Topline etc, I had a simple lemon slice and hot chocolate!
All in all, nice place by the seaside to chill, have a coffee and watch the world go by.

The Harrow Inn
828 The Ridge, Hastings, Saint Leonards-on-seaThe Food was excellent; the staff very friendly. The service was prompt and efficient. It was my first visit and I was very impressed with the three-meat Carvery. There were plenty of roast potatoes as well as a wide selection of vegetables. All food was served piping hot and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. Judging from the large numbers of people eating, I was not the first to discover this delightfully and well run pub - restaurant. But do book otherwise you could well be disappointed. The Harrow has a good sized car park to the side.

25 Grosvenor Cres, Saint Leonards-on-seaLovely beautiful pub with wooden features. Nice & big too with beer garden. We were eating lunch with kids but noted a great beer selection & events like bingo, disco.
Food was great, pizza, etc. Best of all kids eat free summer hols.
Best bit is atmosphere the staff are super friendly so make the place excellent.

Wild Mushroom Restaurant
Woodgate House, Westfield Ln, WestfieldOur favourite place! Food is absolutely amazing. Sunday roasts are fresh and great quality ingredients. The service is definitely the best around. There's always a great ambience. Will be visiting again soon
