Castlegate, MaltonFriendly and super efficient service. Spotlessly clean. Bacon and egg sandwich cooked to perfection and presented well. The best Morrisons cafe I've been in (and I've been in quite a few). A supermarket cafe hitting well above its weight. Well done!

1 Scarborough Rd, Rillington, MaltonWhat a lovely pub. Great range of beers ciders and real ales. If we could have stayed for longer they have a fantastic selection of shots ?. All great value.
The lady (Sky) behind the bar was super friendly and chatty, with a great knowledge of all the real ales.
It also had a lovely beer garden.
Definitely worth a visit. (But it's only open on weekends)

51 Wheelgate, MaltonCame here on my own when visiting Yorkshire. Staff were very friendly, and service was super quick! Had a lovely evening, reading a book while enjoying my calzone, wine, and an affogato! It was my first time going to a restaurant alone, and they made it so relaxed and not awkward/wierd at all!

39-41 Commercial St, Norton, MaltonThe food is all cooked fresh to order, and tasted fantastic. They were short staffed when we were there, but were really apologetic about our food taking slightly longer than usual and gave us free drinks to make up for it. They were also run off their feet with delivery orders. The food was definitely worth being a little patient for.

46 Market Pl, MaltonWe had a really lovely meal on a Saturday evening. The small plate menu choices were unusual with lots of choice. Two of us were vegetarian and we found the veggie small plates to be really tasty.
The atmosphere was nice with low lighting and little lights on the tables. The windows and other little areas had been beautifully decorated with autumnal pumpkins and lights.
I’d mentioned in my booking that it was my Mum’s birthday and the team worked really hard to make the evening extra special, including an unexpected little surprise. Thank you so much to the whole team who were so friendly and made the night memorable. We’ll definitely be returning.

47 Town St, Old Malton, MaltonWe had an amazing meal here yesterday! We had 2 courses (which we never do) And cleared our plates. Staff are lovely and the landlord was very amusing, we could have stayed sat in thier garden all day. Excellent value too.

16 Wheelgate, MaltonA trip to Malton isn’t complete without a visit to Leoni’s. Great food and coffee, always a warm welcome, and a good spot to either chat to the locals or at least listen in on some good Yorkshire conversation. A few people whine that it’s not “dog friendly” but it’s just too small to allow them in - everyone would be tripping over them otherwise. It’s not that the owner doesn’t like dogs. The only thing to complain about is Dom’s dodgy taste in football clubs but you can’t have it all!

We had a fairly short pitstop here on our way to our Dales holiday.
The staff were excellent and did everything they could to make our experience the best it could be.
The food was good and served piping hot.
Dogs are allowed.
We would visit again, if we were in the area.

11 Yorkersgate, MaltonWhat a fab wee place, we pitched up with no reservation and were welcomed, immediately shown to a table with drinks ordered and brought to us within minutes. We sat at a table by the kitchen and watched a masterclass chef at work (didn't get his name but he had lots of tattoos on his arms and glasses)
Food was excellent, tasty, fresh and piping hot. A must visit in this lovely town

8 Cherry Farm Cl, MaltonMy wife and I (both 80 years old) shared a sausage butty. The staff had no problem in cutting in half for us, and even put fried onions on my portion (but none for my wife).
Every thing was very clean, and the staff were exceptionally helpful.

High St, Sherburn, MaltonWe paid 10.50 for two sandwich’s and a cake….and it was worth every penny. Big sandwich full of fresh, tasty fillings and the cake was a fantastically sweet cornflake and chocolate slab. Much tastier than supermarket options and probably cheaper too. First time we have stopped here but would definitely do it again.

The food was out of this world, the staff are so friendly, attentive and professional. It's a must to visit if your in the area. Very reasonably priced and the portions are amazing! Highly recommend this wonderful cafe!

26 Wheelgate, MaltonOn our visit to Malton I loved this bakery so much- in fact I went for some breakfast, then some lunch- and then I went to another branch in York the day after! The price-quality ratio was amazing. I had the best sausage roll I've ever eaten (an incredible amount of sausagemeat). I tried a range of things from a filled roll to a Danish and everything was really tasty. I wasn't a huge fan of the coffee, it was the only thing that let the place down for me, but perhaps I just got a bad one.

29 Yorkersgate, MaltonThe food is definitely worth waitingfor, the best Thai food I've had. The staff are friendly, shout out to Amy who was waiting several tables. That said, if you turn up when they are busy be prepared for quite a wait. But there again if fast food is your thing, there's always Macdonalds on the a64. I know which I prefer! ?

Brass Castle Brewery

We had the opportunity to visit the Brewery and receive detailed explanations about the production!
The Tap House is very cozy, with a very friendly atmosphere and we suggest to dedicate time to taste and enjoy their range of beers!

This “hidden bar” has a fantastic range of bourbon and whiskeys, ranging from £6.50 a shot to £150+ for some.
They also have wines, beers and various gins.
A real treat for any whiskey drinker.

We did not eat on this occasion but thought it would not be fair to give no stars. There are lots of good reviews for the food on this website. The staff were very pleasant and they poured a perfect pint of Taylors landlord at a very reasonable £4.50. This place has charm in abundance, a welcome change from all myriad of corporate chains. ?

Spital St, MaltonThe Spotted Cow is a traditional unspoilt three roomed pub. There is a blue plaque outside the pub listing it as a Tetley heritage pub. There is a good choice of draught drinks including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when I visited. There is a nice cosy front bar and another room to the side of it. Up some steps, there is a middle room with a bar and a dart board. Behind the pub there is a nice outside seating area. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's a nice pub worth visiting.
