27 Kirkgate, RiponFrom our initial contact by e-mail and subsequent visit we found the Mario’s Team to be one of the most helpful and accommodating we have come across. On the night of our visit (a busy early evening due to a concert in the Cathedral) we were really impressed with how they weren’t fazed at all by our dietary requirements and took the time to talk through all options on the menu. Regarding the food not only was each course delicious it all was very well presented, piping hot and served by an attentive team. \n\nWe will definitely be back! \n\nA big shout out to Marco and his team ???

83 North St, RiponWe booked this restaurant in advance and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service. It was a Sunday evening and not many restaurants open. Three of us had Sunday lunch and I had the Sea Bass. All of us thought it was superb and hot. Nice young staff, not too attentive but efficient, a very pleasant evening. Just one minor comment and it is minor, if you have Sunday lunch ask for your gravy on the side otherwise your plate will be flooded! Please try it I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

86 North St, RiponHeaded here after being recommended it by my hotel. After having a wander around Ripon I enjoyed a coffee and very tasty brekkie. The sausage wasn’t gf so I was offered to swap it with anything else on the menu. \n\nSo often cafes just remove the sausage and charge you full price so this was a nice touch. \n\nThere were also lots of other gluten free options /alternates on the menu which was great. If I’d been staying in Ripon longer I would have definitely headed back.\n\nThe only negative was another customer who was having a very loud online meeting on a table nearby. (Obv not the cafe’s fault)

2A Kirkgate, RiponI had a dinner at hot lava yesterday. I tried new specials and I wasn’t disappointed. It was lamb kleftico served with roasted potatoes, onions, peppers. Amazing dish! Tender and juicy meat, very tasty I will recommend for everyone who likes lamb.\nFriendly and attentive service. Well done Hot lava !

Main St, Melmerby, RiponWe stopped for lunch with our dogs after the Ripley antiques fair.
A lovely pub with friendly staff, nice decor.and a peaceful ambience.
I had the seafood platter and my partner had a jacket potato.
The food was very tasty, freshly cooked, and reasonably priced.
I highly recommend this place for a drink or a yummy meal.

Special props go to Head Chef Mitch—his brilliant ideas and top-tier skills sent the entire experience soaring way above the ceiling. Honestly, it’s a proper standout spot! Harrogate Rd, RiponI would like to say a huge thank you to Linda who was on the check out yesterday at ripon store,helped my mother in law who 82 with her packing no rushing at all,linda was just absolutely lovely to see great customer service,really put my mother in law at ease has it was her first outting without her driving herself she given up driving so was feeling uoset about giving her independence up,I recognised Linda from alot of years ago from boroughbridge store,what a lovely lady and a credit to morrisons,Linda told me 44years service to morrisons. Thank you. ?

As a NCGS I felt catered for, but they seemed very knowledgeable for Ceoliac. They made us all feel very welcome..Food was delicious, and we will be back.

Black Sheep Brewery
Wellgarth House, Wellgarth Court, Crosshills, Masham, RiponTook my stepdad on a guided tour at Black Sheep Brewery and we were lucky enough to have Alan as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about both the history of Black Sheep and beer in general. He really knew his stuff and even took the time to have a friendly chat with us after the tour, which made it feel extra special.
We stayed for lunch afterwards which was excellent and the perfect way to round off a brilliant afternoon. Huge thanks again to Alan – he genuinely made the experience. Would 100% recommend!

He was so polite with my girls talking through the wide choice of ice creams. The Wakeman's House Cafe

The scones lived up to their reputation, being very light and perfectly baked, and the millionaires' shortbread was delicious.
The tea was proper Yorkshire tea in a pot, and we thought great value.
We would recommend this tea shop to visit if venturing to Ripon.

Galphay Ln, RiponWow what can I say we had to stay in Ripon for one night, and was this place was recommended by one of the locals, I’m glad he recommended this place or we would of missed out of what I can say was the best breakfasts I’ve ever had, tasty, delicious and everything was fresh and local sauced, the staff were friendly polite and very helpful

The sourdough bread is the best, as to the freshly made sandwiches we would pick up before heading out hiking. Jen makes the most delicious, slices, croissants, and cakes. Her hot cross buns the best. Also great coffee, would take my mug in each morning for a latte. Masham bakery & Jen all the best for continued success.

19 High Skellgate, RiponDelicious, fresh and authentic. Had chicken Jaflong and Tikka masala. Jaflong is now my new favourite curry and both had plenty of chicken, flavour, sauce and were medium heat. Pilau rice, chips and a garlic naan between two was more than enough. Take cash with you, as cash machines in town charge you. Wish I lived in Ripon and not on holiday.

One Eyed Rat
51 Allhallowgate, RiponOur first time in Ripon and the One Eyed Rat had a cosy atmosphere thanks to the real fireplace. Quite busy by Saturday afternoon and a little chilly if you're further away from the fireplace, but all in all a lovely pub which is dog friendly.
