J62C+46 Abbotsford House, MelroseWe had a lovely day at Abbotsford house and gardens. House is very interesting and the handheld self tour guide really helped explain all the interesting things by Sir Walter himself! Gardens are nice,although not at the their best in March. We had a lovely walk along the Tweed too. Every member of staff was so friendly and welcoming, from the courtesy bus driver, the visitor centre staff and house staff. Definitely recommend the train journey down whilst visiting Edinburgh.

The Hoebridge
Gattonside, MelroseExcellent meal as a couple with a young baby. Food was outstanding and perfectly cooked as requested - ordered venison and sirloin for the main courses and both were full of flavour and cracking local produce. There was also additional thought provided as we stated we were dining with a baby and Kyle accommodated us at a table in the corner with extra space. A really appreciated additional touch when one may feel like an incumbrance with a young child! Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Jack's - Takeaway & Gifts
1 High St, Melrosepre ordered sandwiches and sweet treats for a work lunch - sandwiches were fresh with delicious fillings and the chocolate brownie was amazing, lemon drizzle was very light and tasty. Will definitely be back and would recommend

Fauhope Country House
Gattonside, MelroseWhat a wonderful people and care. The room was extremely comfortable and host even made up a hot water bottle for my back pain (on going disability nothing to do with our stay). We felt so well cared for. Best eggs benadict I have had in years. Heartly recommend

The Ship Inn Melrose
East Port, MelroseBack again to The Ship Inn whilst in Melrose at the caravan site.
Great menu would suit all tastes and very reasonably priced. Very good selection of beers, cider etc with 12 on draught.
Attentive service and would definitely return when back in Melrose, absolutely recommended.

West End House, High Street, MelroseI booked this place to celebrate my partners 30th with our friends and newborn baby. The service was incredible, they allowed us to bring a cake and decorate the table beforehand and we had the little table by the window which made it feel more private. The service was incredible and we didn’t feel pushed out or rushed at any point. Food was delicious, served hot, plenty of choice and great value for money.

The Townhouse Hotel
Market Square, MelroseI can highly recommend this lovely hotel. The room was spacious,bed super comfortable, all spotless too.
Excellent breakfast each morning and food at the sister hotel across the road also excellent.
The staff were all friendly & helpful.
I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Hunters Stables Bar & Bistro
Moorfield, Main St, St Boswells, MelroseFirst time coming here, will definitely be back. Took my wife for our 1 year anniversary. Staff go above and beyond. Food was absolutely fantastic. My new go to restaurant. Book early to avoid disappointment as always busy. Thanks guys for a truly amazing experience.

Gattonside, MelroseWe had a lovely meal at Seasons in Gattenside. We were staying locally for a long weekend and, having looked at the menu, decided that this was somewhere we would like to eat.\n\nWe were not disappointed. Every course was excellent. The scallops were perfectly cooked with spicy black pudding and crispy bacon. My main course of Flatiron steak was juicy and full of flavour, and the chips were good.David’s lamb fell off the bone and the dauphinoise potatoes were creamy and moreish. David had Affogato to follow and I had an expresso.\n\nIt delivered lovely food, great service and good value! What more could you ask for?

13 Morow Gardens, MelroseVisited Simply Delicious twice in 1 week. Absolutely Fabulous chocolates…..you really, REALLY need to visit. Chocolates are made on the premises…and are out of this world. Will be back and certainly ordering chocolates for Christmas……lady in the shop is so very helpful….she made our visit….

The Green, St Boswells, MelrosePopped in for lunch today 16/3/24. Had The bloo coo burger. It was phenomenal, best plate of food I’ve had for a while, definitely worth a return visit. Lovely decor & waitress was really nice & friendly.
