Awesome, hot, fresh smash burgers. We had the classic fries-very generous portion. The patty was large, a bit bigger than the soft brioche bun. The thicknesses of the burger was healthy. 3 people shared the fries, and we each had a burger. We are nicely full. Great taste. Very fresh. Highly recommend.

Our recent visit to Ziggy's was great! The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were very generous. Ziggy's offers a fantastic selection of steaks, burgers, and fajitas that are full of flavour and beautifully presented. The kids' menu had plenty of choices which would suit even the fussiest children, making it perfect for families.

To top it off, the prices were very reasonable, making it great value for the quality of the meal. Our family of four, including two adults and two kids, loved every moment of our dining experience.

A special shoutout to our server, who we think was called Ailsa based on the info on our receipt. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed which added to our wonderful experience. The service in general was quick and efficient.

We highly recommend Ziggy's to anyone visiting St Andrews or looking for a new place to try. We can’t wait to go back!

We went here on my 40th birthday back on August 17th after playing the New Course, and the night before we got to play the Old Course. Taken a minute to lrave this review. We had some wine and sat out on the patio while they were making our food to watch the sunset. Claire, our server, was phenomenal. She brought us our drinks on the patio. We told jokes and had a great time with her. The food was awesome, a steak for two. The atmosphere was awesome. Really, outside of playing the Old Course, the pinnacle of a bucket list trip to celebrate reaching the downhill part of life. ? claire was amazing. She deserves a promotion.

After one of the most memorable rounds of golf I have ever played with my son we met up with his wife and my wife who is his mother, at Niblick. I had the Hake over mussels which I don’t see on the standard menu online. It was the best meal I had on our trip to Scotland!!!
I’m in search of the recipe but if we must return to Niblick from Texas to find it, then so be it!

4.5 stars. amazing location, the history of golf just oozes from every space. we played the putting course-The Himalayas-and then enjoyed a good meal with exemplary service in the bar and grill. DW ordered a BLT on ciabatta. she enjoyed immensely. my choice was a fried haddock wrap with house made onion rings. while i felt like the fish fillet was quite small, it was tasty with good fresh veggies. The aioli that came with the tasty onion rings was a highlight. the extra half a star is purely for the service and the exceptional location.

I visited St. Andrews from July 27th-July 29th and ate at Bothy's for dinner with my dad and his 3 friends. Shout out to Athi and Vasu because we all had a blast! Not only was the service wonderful and prompt, but they were also very friendly and extremely funny! They made having dinner on vacation in another country so much fun! The decor and atmosphere were really cool and the food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for having us Bothy's!! If I ever come back to St. Andrews, you will be on my list to come back to!

We had a wonderful meal at Forgans while visiting our niece last April. The parking can be difficult, but that’s to be expected on Market street. All the staff was extremely kind and attentive, they managed to fit us in on what looked like an extremely busy night. The hostess warned that our meal may take a little longer than expected due to multiple large parties arriving at similar time to us, but the food came within 25 minutes. Ellie C was great, giving us great recommendations and checking back on us once the food had arrived. If I find myself in St Andrews again, I’ll definitely be back at Forgans!

We were staying in the hotel and had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Both meals were very good with friendly staff. Dinner menu is focussed towards meat eaters but we had lovely fish and vegetarian dishes. As it is fixed price for 2 courses at dinner then it does seem expensive for non meat eaters especially when adding in cost of side dishes. Food was lovely though and beautifully presented. Great views over the golf course and up to the buildings of St Andrews itself.

Had dinner here on a Monday and had about a 30 minute wait. I think it was move-in week at the University, so the wait was probably longer than normal, but it's definitely a popular place. We ended up being seated outside, which was fine, nothing great about the atmosphere out there besides being in St. Andrews. For food, we had the Steak & Ale Cri Pie, which was good, but not great. I believe this is one of the things they are known for. Again good, but I've had better elsewhere. Also had the Cullen Skink, which was excellent. That is my favorite Scottish dish and this one didn't disappoint. My daughter had nachos, which apparently is a big thing with the kids in Scotland, and she liked those. Criterion is one of her favorite restaurants as a student at St. Andrews. Service was good. Overall, was a good meal.

Food was excellent in the restaurant. Being able to order a special of teriyaki tuna was great as I'm not a great fan of battered food. There were lots of choices apart from the usual fare. My husband had the breaded haddock which he really enjoyed and our daughter had the battered fish and she loved it. The chips were not dripping in fat or soggy. I really like the feel of the place and there is plenty of space between tables. No reception on our phones which was an added bonus. Service was good but we did have to ask for our drinks and they brought my husband a battered fish to start with. These issues were quickly remedied and staff and management were apologetic. All in all we will be back.

We arrived at the Adamson to a very quiet, empty dining room. The server took us to our table and eventually learned that Tuesdays in November are quiet nights out in St. Andrews. I usually hate being the only ones in a restaurant. But, ya know what? It turns out it didn’t matter. \nService was excellent and the food was delicious. My husband and I both had the scallop starter (perfectly cooked) and I had the aubergine with chimichurri sauce for my main. It was absolutely wonderful. My husband said his filet steak was done exactly as he wanted it. Expensive, but worth it.\nWe were too full for dessert but heard that they’re really good too.

We went to this place during our visit to St Andrews because we had been told about this place during the tour, as it was the cafe where the current Princes of Wales, William of England and Kate Middleton, used to meet and study at the University. Definitely a family affair! The family running this place welcomes once you arrive . Very personal and ready to share their cuisine. The Indian southern garlic dish was flavorful with garlic permeating through every bite. I'm not a fan of extra spicy but the balance of heat kept you engaged- although the sauce was delicious, the prawns were ok. As for the buttered chicken, sauce was addicting. The garlic naan along with the rice pilaf , brought all the flavors together. It's a intimate vibe perfect for any celebration. There's an upstairs room that was also available for larger groups.

Quirky little place just of the main street. Almost missed it. Upstairs has a cosy little sitting area. Bit of a step back in time. Decorated in an unusual but homely style. Old ornaments reminded me of grans house. Liked the old pulley with the washing hanging from the ceiling. Post war tunes from the old wooden radio to complete the atmosphere. Small but tasty menu with some great food. Selection of teas, coffees and soft drinks. Even an irn bru float was available. The warmed scones were delicious as was the iced tea. Staff were accomodating and service was really good. Bit of a trek from Glasgow but if we get back to St Andrews we'll be sure to visit again. Thank you

For a quick lunch in St Andrews, we headed to this pizzeria, because we had been impressed by the place, simple and cute, with open kitchen, and a good smell inside. Friendly Welcoming and fast and efficient Service. The surprise was to find the possibility to choose even between two "bases", including a "Roman", thinner and crispier. So, we tried the classic margherita with Roman base and the result was a thin pizza, well cooked underneath, without being burned at any point, with a good tomato sauce, a decent mozzarella and fresh and fragrant basil. The size of the pizza was adequate for a meal. We were served, at our request, fresh, tasteful and free "tap water". Just over £30 for two pizzas in a holiday village in Scotland, in high season, seemed congruent with the quality of the product and Service. Recommended!

Honestly one of my favourite spots in St Andrews. The chicken shawarma is absolutely banging, properly marinated and you can taste all the spices.

What really sets this place apart is how fresh everything tastes. Portions are massive too. For the price you pay it's incredible value, especially compared to some of the tourist traps on Market Street.

The atmosphere is nothing fancy but that's exactly what you want from a proper shawarma place.

Cameron was terrific! One Under was very busy on a Tuesday afternoon, and Cameron was working solo. He was busing tables while still taking food and beverage orders for nearly two hours. We arrived in St Andrews just in time for an absolute downpour which delayed our stroll around the place however by the time we were needing lunch South Street was bathed in sunshine, packed with people and we were down to our t-shirts. I should have known, but as I sat down at a table outside Zest Café I got that damp feeling… the seats hadn’t been wiped dry. Oh well, best move indoors.\n\nIt’s a nice looking café and had a good display of sandwiches in the chiller so we picked up Club and Red Pepper Focaccia and handed them over the counter to get warmed and plated up with some salad, coleslaw and crisps (£7.95 each). Add to that an Americano coffee (£3.45) and a flat white (£3.85) and our lunch bill came to a reasonable £24.60.\n\nThe food was very good and filling, although we had to ask again for the Focaccia to be warmed when it was first brought to the table. The coffee was very nice too.\n\nIt’s a busy place and shortly after we arrived around midday there was a near constant queue of customers waiting in line to place their orders for takeaways and plenty of others taking a seat. Good for people watching as the crowds passed by on the pavement outside - it could almost have been Paris!

Great little pub. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, while their own St. Andrews beers and ales are delicious and full of character. If you can't choose what to drink, you can also try a small amount of each beer/ale on draft to get an idea of what they are like.

Best Italian restaurant outside Italy. Just lived it here. Came twice in 3 days. It’s so good you MUST book a table - rock up on a whim and you’ll likely be turned away. Fantastic menu and great wine choice in what is a truly lovely warm and inviting interior. The service was friendly but this isn’t fast food - when it’s so busy, service can be slower but it didn’t feel too slow. It’s busy for a really good reason - it is truly excellent. Loved it.

I enjoyed the place. Nice place which has games. We stayed around to play some chess and have a drink.

Apparently the woman server was a bit lazy/ wouldn't get up or assist with orders. I didn't have that problem but my friends were complaining. Apparently she was also reading a book and even when customers came in, she continued to read her book ?

best pret, super clean, all the staff are so so nice. there is not always seating available, esp. on weekday afternoons during term time, but that's to be expected. even when it's crazy busy they still manage to make the drinks super fast and you don't have to wait at the counter for someone.
