49 Broad St, NewtownIve been coming here frequently from my home town Essex and i use to have a great meal here, I’ve been going to the red mango restaurant opposite McDonald’s in Newtown and their service has gotten terrible since we last visited over there however I highly recommend Bahar restaurant in town centre, a lovely chap called Sonny took care of us and recommended a couple of house favourite curries for me and my partner and it was by far the one the best curries I’ve had in a long time I will definitely be back I cannot thank these guys enough for the experience best Indian food in mid wales

The lads were incredibly friendly to everyone who came in and had our large order ready very quickly and even gave us a large bottle of pop on the house which was very kind. The food was really good too, 1 chicken burger, 3 beef burger, chicken donor and garlic bread, all hot and really nice! Will definitely order from you again- thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bear Lanes, 13, NewtownStumbled across this cafe and we were very happy to find it. There were 8 of us and a dog, but the staff were quick to give us a table and get us settled. The food was wonderful, all dishes came out quickly, very tasty and large portions. Even the dog got a bowl of water and a sausage on the house! Highly recommend

12 Shortbridge St, NewtownWe visited Powys for vacation. Randomly chose an underrated spot in Powys. We found this gem in Newtown (middle of the place), HALAL place (except for the Ham and Peperoni ingredients which they handle and keep separately for pizzas). Excellent spot, great customer service, exceptional food. Way Better than most kebab places in London ?.
We ordered a Pizza, Chicken Kebab twice in a span of 2 days stay here in Powys. That's how delicious it was. Very delighted to have come across the staff members, very hospitable and welcoming gentlemen.
Cleanliness, again, impressed by the fact that it was a hell of a difference when it comes to comparing a larger city pizza shops, very very clean.
Would 100% recommend everyone visiting the nearby areas to get food if you don't want to cook at home. You won't be disappointed.

16A Broad St, NewtownDecided to call in as on our way back from a holiday in mid Wales, for breakfast, after reading others reviews, easy enough to find, though parking is a bit hit & miss along the road, 1hr max stay, not sure where other carparks are ?.
We got there late morning, but still decided to have the full breakfast, was lovely & hot & tasty, along with tea & coffee.
Highly recommend, good value, prompt & friendly service.
Definitely worth a visit if traveling through & want a filling tasty hot breakfast ??

Brickdale House, Wesley St, NewtownIt's been a few years since I last visited The Lantern, So I thought I would give it a go. Really glad that I did, as the food & service were as great as I remembered. Tried the Crispy Beef with salt, pepper & chilli, and it was pretty Zingy!
The nice lady had warned me that it was quite spicy, and it hit the spot nicely. Really nice aftertaste following the initial hit, with lovely flavours.
Will be visiting again!

Back Ln, NewtownLovely convenient place to stop for lunch enroute for North Wales. Discovered this little gem by chance and we are so glad we did. Tasty fresh food reasonably priced. Friendly staff who keep the premises clean and welcoming. better\nWe visit several times a year since finding it about three years ago. Do not pass it looking for better. You will pay at least double and not eat so well.

Dolau Inn bunk house. Camping. Horse B&B
Mochdre, NewtownWe stayed here in the bunkhouse thurday & friday. Chris & mark were the best hosts anyone could wish for. Polite , friendly & really helpfull. Mark even gave us a cooler box to keep ice in on a boiling day. The food was lovely , big portions & cooked to perfection. Just a mile or so outside newtown mid wales , pretty little town. Ideal for people in our case on motorcycles to explore the area. The bunk house was ideal , comfy beds , kettle, microwave & showers. We would like to thank chris & mark for making our stay memorable. Say hi to bluebell the dog for us ?

Can't fault the place, YPA is a local ale and it was great, 3.50 a pint is unusual these days, locals friendly and good service, would definitely visit again
