44 High St, LlanidloesWe stayed in Llanidloes and came across this wonderful tearoom. We liked it so much we visited it first thing every morning before setting off. Lovely atmosphere, great coffee and food, friendly and helpful owners. It is a must to go to for anyone visiting this lovely little town.

The Old Village Hall, LlanbrynmairJust googling to see if they're open...on way to a regular breakfast treat. Easy parking. Great local shop for essentials on way into the caffi...well laid out unpretentious tables and a large menu to choose from. Food usually arrives without a long wait, and we have yet to find any fault with it. Been breakfasting here for years now...delighted that they are still dishing up tasty food at a very reasonable cost. Good coffee too :-)

The Unicorn Hotel
4-5 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesWe had a lovely visit to the Unicorn Hotel. The rooms are beautiful and freshly refurbished and the owner couldn't be more welcoming. Highly recommend the hot chocolate! Thank you, Mikey!

Arthurs Restaurant & Bar
Ffinnant, CaerswsWe have dined here many times and have always had great food and service which is why we choose here for our Christmas Day dinner (3 adults)
Prosecco on arrival, canapés at table, Amuse bouche, starter, main, dessert, selection of truffles and coffee. All courses were delicious. Staff were very friendly. An unhurried service, allowing time to digest food between each course.
The only downside we found was the position of the extra tables positioned between the booths and usual tables.
On arrival we did fear we may have issues with guests from other tables moving past us and waitresses serving those tables as our table was very close to others. A couple of times we had to hold our wine glasses so they did not get knocked over, but this did not affect our experience.
We had a wonderful afternoon and hope to book again for Christmas Day 2026.

The Angel Inn
3 High St, LlanidloesVisited here on two occasions while having a short break in the area. A real hidden gem. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good beer and very tasty food. We really enjoyed their Italian night which forms a part of a monthly global food dining experience. The food is definitely pub food ++ and can comfortably beat a lot of restaurants in terms of its quality and presentation. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay in Llanidloes extra special. Hope to see you again!

Unit 6a, Parc Derwen Fawr, LlanidloesI order online for collection. Think there are other ways to order. Brought some bread and some other sweets treats. Very nice can't recommend enough. Was warm when I picked it up so not much made it back home.

Ground Floor, 1 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesOrder taken efficiently and politely, pick up on requested time and ready, the restaurant looked very clean and smart, the 2 curries we ordered were very tasty and hot and a generous portion, fries, basmati rice and popadoms and chutnies great and fresh, will call again when next in Llanidloes.

Llanidloes Kebab & Pizza House
6 Great Oak St, LlanidloesMe and some of my chums were on a cycling journey from the top to the bottom of Wales, and we ended our third night in Llanidloes. We arrived at the town without any expectations for a pleasant meal, but oh boy were we wrong. Little did we know that we were about to stumble in the Best Kebab Shop In Wales. I ordered some chicken with my friends ordering a pizza, a donner kebab and some chips, and believe me when i tell you these were some of the best meals that we ever ventured upon. My chicken was cooked to the perfect tenderness, the pizza with enough cheese but not too much the donner kebab set to the perfect quality and the chips were excecuted wonderfully. Who needs Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen when you have the Llanidloes Kebab and Pizza House, not only was the food above and beyond better, but the service was without a doubt the best you’ll ever get, even recieving a cheeky free drink and grapes, and certainly there were no “idiot sandwiches” around here. Bella Pizza (Caernarfon) take some notes because without of the doubt Llanidloes Kebab and Pizza House is the best Kebab Shop not only in Wales, but in the world. Thank you for changing my life.

4 Short Bridge St, LlanidloesI was just reminiscing on one of my visits to Wales and found this place (I read some of the other more recent reviews and see they aren’t currently serving food) however if they ever get the kitchen going again… out of my three years living in the UK this was the best fish in chips I had BY FAR! Highly recommend!

30 Great Oak St, LlanidloesStaying in Llani for a short break and fancied a take away. Could not have been happier with the Raj. Popped in to order an hour ahead so we could go for a drink - not a worry! Very good menu - traditional dishes alongside lots of specialities. Was ready on time. Food was really tasty - full of flavour. Portions were generous and excellent value. We did a quick comparison with our local Indian - the Raj was a third cheaper and to be honest tastier. 10% off menu price for collection. Felt like a real treat. Thanks Raj for a superb take away.

New Welcome Takeaway
44 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesWe found this place tonight while on holiday and really fancied a Chinese. This place is lovely. The girls behind the counter were lovely and very efficient. Our food came really quickly and a bonus of having fried brown rice was a nice one. The food wasn't fatty either like other Chinese takeaways and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend

24 China St, LlanidloesWe visited this chippy for the first time today. I have family that have recently moved to the area and we wanted to sample some of the local fare. First of all, we were surprised at the prices, which are incredibly reasonable. We all had the cod and chips except one of us, who had the curry and chips. We were all very happy with the size of the portions and the quality of the food. The fish and chips were cooked fresh and were delicious. The man who served us was very friendly and even advised us that we could bring our dogs to dine in next time if we wanted. Highly recommended ?
