We visitedfor an evening meal and had \nWe visited recently and had an enjoyable evening \nThe staff were pleasant and friendly and the service was good\nThere is an extensive choice on the menu and we ordered 3 tapas each and nachos to share \nWe started with the bead and oils which we enjoyed.\nThe food was enjoyable, however my "spicy" chicken wings and meatballs in a "spicy" sauce were tasty but totally lacking any spice\nThe nachos were underwhelming, a very small handful with cheese only covering a few at the top of the pile were vastly overpriced \nThe other items we had were enjoyable and the house wine was reasonably priced \nIt's worth a visit but choose your meals carefully to avoid disappointment

Fantastic place to visit - staff are great and the music/pizza events are absolutely spot on!
Only downside is that when (very infrequently) a group displays unruly behaviour or inappropriate language (to the detriment of other customers), no one seems capable or confident enough to approach and deal with the problem.
Overall though - a lovely place to drink and relax.

The garden room SAGE has been new refurbished so cosy & is 5*

First visit to the pub with my partner and 2 dogs, we were made to feel very welcome, they brought our dogs some water, we ordered the black and blue burger ? and the smoky joe burger ?, both where delicious, proper chips and huge onion rings, we didn't have dessert as we where to full, will definitely be going back again, staff where very nice, even saw an ex colleague i use to work with (Ben) .

Had a lovely meal here recommend by the manager at The Sun Inn. Fish & Chips were nicely done, as was the Steak & Ale Pie. We had an issue with one chicken dish, but it was quickly replaced and the situation was handled very well by our waitress. We’ll be back.

Amazing food today, thank you Andy! We headed up to Junk Soul Smothered for our treat, and to say they absolutely smashed it would be an understatement. The festive menu looks amazing, and our choices (some festive, some just fabulous) were all absolutely delish. Gravy wellington, smash burger, beer battered onion rings, and scoffles, all expertly cooked and served with a real welcome. The place itself is a wonderfully cosy place, with a real fun warm feel to it (and I don’t just mean because it’s warm inside out of the rain today!). Chairs have blankets on them ready for people, and the radiators and hot food kept us warm while we enjoyed the food. There’s space upstairs as well, so plenty of room for food and drinks, but still worth calling to book as it can get busy, especially in nicer weather.

Opposite markuspencius you find Pollys,a great little place to meet up with friends,workmates,groups,family or just yourself. We had bacon/sausage(delicious) butties,poached eggs on toast and a GF option too. . Nice pot of tea and a coffee. Will go back to try the lunch menu.

Good menu and drinks choice and a hospitable venue . \nWe decided on Bangers and mash with green beans and Scampi for me . Unfortunately the sausages came with Mangetout which my husband cannot eat for dietary reasons ,which is partly why he’d chosen that particular meal choice with green beans . My food was tasty but not very hot when it came . \nOur server was friendly when we ordered and the wait for food was very reasonable but there was no check up on the food during or after our meal . \nWe liked the atmosphere in the Kings Head but one small thing was the signage for the Ladies toilets . Where we were sitting we saw an assortment of ladies searching for the facilities from all directions !

The Bay Horse is an outstanding local pub. Great choice of beers, friendly atmosphere, incredibly helpful staff and plenty to do, including live sports on the tv, darts, pool, gambit and juke box. The food is wonderful and all created on-site using local produce. The landlords have really made this pub feel like a home-from-home.

Been here a few times for lunch with my huband. Had a few dishes from the set lunch menu which includes a starter and main course for a minimal of £14.50 each. So far I've had the Krathiem Prik Thai (meat and garlicky, pepper dish with vegetables), Pad Se-Ew (meat, stir fried noodles and vegeables in soy sauce) and Green curry all with seafood which is an extra £4. The egg fried rice is also recommended that accompanies many of the meals.\n\nThe service is always pleasant, friendly and welcoming everytime. It's also very quick. We manage have both dishes in a 30 minute space, which works out great for us on a busy weekday lunch time we do go.

Visited this little café whilst in Beverley for a few hours on a Sunday, it was a pretty busy day when we visited as there was a 10k run taking place! Despite that we visited this café to grab some breakfast and we got a seat straight away. The place looked popular as there were people sat inside and outside the premises.

The café looked well presented, clean and a nice selection on the menu. My husband and I both opted for poached eggs on toast, with a choice of white or brown bread. I opted for white bread and you got two slices with two poached eggs plus some lovely lurpak butter. I also had a glass of orange juice and my husband had a latte.

The waitress was friendly who took our order and we were given the option to pay straight away before our food and drinks arrived. We were happy to do so as it meant we could leave as soon as we’d finished.

The food was nice, nothing too fancy as it was just eggs on toast. The drinks were okay too, my husband said he enjoyed his latte. Perhaps it was ever so slightly over priced as you could probably get the same for less at a local Wetherspoons however it’s good to support local independent businesses.

Would recommend and would be nice to try some other options on their menu.

We went on a Saturday night for a family member’s birthday, waited a long time for drinks and even longer time for our meal, people that after us where eating before us, so not happy over an hour and half from arriving till we received food. The food its self excellent really enjoyed. The pudding ordered and waited 15 minutes to be told they didn’t have what we ordered but again the quality very good. Complained to the manager about the service and he was very apologetic and did make allowances when it came to the bill, we left happy with what he did for us. Hopefully a bad night for them, would go back as the food was very good and hopefully they’d get the service right.

Another fabulous experience at Whites. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the nine course taster menu which was enhanced by the well chosen flight of wines, carefully matched to each course. The service was usual outstanding, with a detailed description of each course to supplement the printed menu. The whole evening was a perfect way to celebrate my wife's birthday and we greatly look forward to our next visit.
