Yamazaki Sushi Bar

Our waiter called Shandi was incredibly lovely and knowledgeable! She had amazing recommendations and was so kind.
The food was delicious! As a student I would love for the prices to be a bit more affordable but you did get a filling portion.
I highly recommend the tofu udon noodles, the tofu was perfect and crispy!

Spicy Tadka

I visited Spicy Tadka and had a really lovely experience. The food was full of flavour and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming. Every dish we tried was cooked perfectly and arrived piping hot. It is clear that the team take pride in what they do.\n\nOverall, everything was good and I would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys great Indian food.

This restaurant was very lovely, the staff are friendly and the food was delicious. I had Jollof rice with chicken stew with Lychee drink on the side, I was very happy with it and will definitely return in the future.

Harvester Stag & Hounds Basingstoke

I had a wonderful experience thanks to Ashley. From the moment we walked in, she was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. She was quick to answer all our questions and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. It’s not often you find such great service these days! I really appreciated her positive attitude and the genuine care she put into making our visit enjoyable. I would definitely recommend asking for her if you ever get the chance!

Good is spot on here, staff are great and always happy to help. Went here for Xmas eve family meal and everyone was happy with choices off set menu as was lots to choose from.

The Queen Inn

I was invited for lunch by my friend and his wife. Unfortunately I didn't feel like eating so my marks are for their meals and the presentation.

Very Olde Worlde interior but spotlessly clean, including the toilets. Very friendly and welcoming staff, Not the cheapest but a nice little village local, well supported by both locals and visitors.

Small car park to the front but parking is permitted on the road, albeit this is also a bus route so care is needed.

Definitely worth a visit.

We 5 booked in for lunch at The Jolly Farmer,Cliddesden for 7th.October,during an annual visit to our Basingstoke relatives.\nWe were all very impressed by the cordial welcome given to we complete strangers.The menu offered a wide choice of both Thai varieties alongside British standards.All 5 chose Thai.My wife and I,both vegans,were well catered for.\nEverything to include quality of drinks,food and service (with a smile) was excellent.\nWe have all agreed to repeat the experience again next year,when we're next due to visit the area.

Bounty Inn

A true proper pub. Friendly staff and customers. Great food but absolutely not a restaurant. No two visits are the same. For instance Sunday afternoon turned into an impromptu sing along when some local musicians stopped by on their way from a rehearsal. A pub where all are welcome.

Las Iguanas - Basingstoke

We booked a table for 2 to get a meal after going to the cinema. It was relatively early on a Friday evening about 5.30pm, so not busy but starting to fill up. We had a 6 Tapas deal between us as we had a well known voucher that made the meal very affordable indeed. We had the prawn tortilla as the other prawn dishes are not included in the Tapas deal. We also had the potata's bravas, BBQ chicken wings, buttermilk chicken, pork quesadillas and the calamari. All the dishes were excellent and thoroughly recommended, also great and friendly service.

Table for 10? No problem.\nNice venue, excellent food and reasonable price (set menu and 2 alcoholic drinks each worked out to around £50 per person)\nVery well organised, tasty food and the set menus was excellent to get us to try something we wouldn't normally order.

What really stood out was the service. The staff were so attentive, kind, and genuinely caring throughout our visit. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and checked in regularly to make sure everything was perfect.

Although I have given a 4 rating as the restaurant, food and staff are always great i have to express extreme disappointment in the downsizing on the classic pizza as normally I would always just about manage to eat one without needing anything else yesterday evening ate the whole pizza then a quarter of the romana pizza my son ordered. No change in the charge for a classic base pizza being smaller. I get times are hard on the restaurant industry but shame on pizza express as taken it,what I feel,a bit overboard on the size reduction / same charge route.

Came here because restaurant down the road had a water pipe burst. Very willing to accommodate us! 7 for lunch. Great variety in the menu. Pleasant waitress. Tasty food.

The Beach Arms Stonehouse

Had a lovely visit to the pub for a carvery and couldn’t fault it. The food was fresh, well-cooked, and generously portioned and the Yorkshire puddings were spot on. Plenty of choice at the veg counter and everything was hot. Big shoutout to Ashleigh who looked after our table – friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Overall, a warm, welcoming atmosphere with great value for money. Will be back!

What I truly amazing pub. I have used the whestsheaf or the Sun inn many times over the years without realising that this pub was nearby. That will be changing. The pub is a really nice rustic place. Your beer garden is great. Given how close you are to the A30 you wouldn't know it. Really nice views. Food was excellent, great choice of beers and the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. I shall return

A group of 20 of us dined at Basingstoke Ask Italian recently. The food and ambience were perfect for the occasion- a colleague's leaving get-together.\nWhat made the evening special was the outstanding service given by our server, Dee. She was attentive and available throughout. At every stage she impressed us. Food ordered was delivered to the correct diner, check-backs and the flow of service was remarkable. Thank you, Dee

We love the Cromwell. Food is excellent Indian cuisine. Proper tablecloths, proper linen napkins, reasonable prices. Their lunchtime banquet @ £16 is more than most can eat

BrewDog Basingstoke

I have been here countless times including just for drinks, Wing Wednesday's, watching the big international football games and live music nights. Plenty of choice for food, reasonable pricing and good drinks selection, particularly for my Brewdog obsessed partner. Service is always quick and friendly. They have games available which we have enjoyed. Lots of seating indoors and out. Highly recommend for all year round and more than just a standard pub. Recommend.

The Gamekeepers

Very quaint country pub located off the beaten track, but definitely worth a visit. Went for a working lunch mid week so it was very quiet.
Food was delicious, and many home-made dishes. I had the duck and plumbing sausages, and they were full of flavour. Portions were generous and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Would like to return when it's busier for the atmosphere.

An excellent Sunday lunch! As a former chef and an avid country pub enthusiast! I could tell somebody really cared about what they were doing in the kitchen! My roast was excellent and my girlfriend’s vegetarian roast was exceptional! I will be back !

I came on the 26 of august as a tourist traveling on my bike. They helped me out with a camping information and food. Lovely people and very helpful. They provide me with good cultural information on the country. I hope to come back on the next bike trip in your village. Cheers.

A lovely day/evening had. Accommodation perfect for a night away. Food of a very high standard. If you stay over, include breakfast… it’s incredible value for just an extra £15.

Absolutely delightful! Fish and chips cooked to perfection and such superb staff. Called in for a takeaway when passing - Huss and chips, so nice to find Huss served, my favourite but not often found anymore. Food excellent , staff fabulous, thank you for a memorable meal. Oliver’s is not a place to pass by, this will be my destination fish shop in future!

wagamama basingstoke

Had a lovely time my first experience in Wagamama with my girlfriend who loves it, for our first date night in a while. Our server Vlan was great from the get go quick and lovely service the best I have experienced in a while. From a cooks point of view the food was quick and very efficient and the speed of our drinks and food was great. For a starter we shared a chicken gyoza which was a last minute choice, the chicken was beautiful and the sauce made it even better, as someone with a picky palette it was perfect. I had a Thai beef salad and the sauces the salad was beautiful so many flavours and cooked to perfection for the speed I was concerned about the food but it was perfect all the chefs and cooks worked efficiently to get our dishes quickly. I was in awe of the kitchen and would love to work in that environment. I will definitely come here again.

I've used this place for many years, over that time I've not had anything but amazing food, however, due to COVID the OG will no longer be returning, therefore, his family members are now working the kitchen and what a fantastic job they're doing... as the kitchen is now under new staff - PLEASE do make sure you pass on any feedback which they'll really appreciate!

Mayflower Chinese Restaurant

Came here on Saturday night with some friends after a long day out in London and they fitted us in - I found the service efficient and abrupt, not rude at all but a little abrupt anyway!Food was great - cooked to order rather than Sat keeping warm so there was the correct balance of ordering and waiting for it to arrive, not too fast and not too slow either. Not unreasonably priced for a sit down Chinese restaurant. All in all, very enjoyable.

Wimpy

Great service and huge restaurant but wish staff wouldn't keep coming up asking if my meal is OK whist I'm in the middle of eating. Leave that until after the customer has finished.

Papa Johns Pizza

Papa John's definitely has my favourite pizza in Basingstoke. It is done quick, whether it is delivery or collection, it is cooked well, and it tastes amazing. I would definitely recommend it!

The Crown

Delighted that this village pub is under new management. Back to what it should be: delicious home cooked food, a selection of beers, attentive service, a nice welcome, with a calming relaxed atmosphere, and for all rather than just a small select group of friends of the landlord. We had hummus, burgers and trillionaire’s torte - delicious!

Not really food… but the milkshake was as always 10/10 5-stars all the way, staff kind of let it down… smile… be a bit happier especially when I’m trying my hardest to be polite and friendly the least I could get is that in return ?

Chi Street Food

Never a dissapointment. While the atmosphere can be quiet, the food is always fast, hot and delicious. Much higher *quality* cooking than the other asian street/fastfood places in basingstoke, the slightly higher price tag is easily justified. My 8th visit or something like that.

Scooperb Basingstoke

The “ pizza waffles “ were really nice but the veggies one due to being so generously topped with ingredients , it was still a bit cold and cheese didn’t melt properly, the margarita ones were perfect , amazing Sundaes .

Absolutely outstanding traditional cafe! The breakfast is amazing...every part of it from the chips, bacon, sausages! Honestly if you want a good hearty meal this is the one but the other part that made me want to review is the prices! Unbelievable in today's world and such a good menu....honestly give it a try you won't be disappointed. We came in randomly on a day out to Basingstoke (from reading) I wish this cafe was in Readung I'd go no where else! 5+ stars....honestly go and try it!

Poppins Restaurant & Cafe - Basingstoke

My husband and I go to Poppins atleast once a month for breakfast and most half terms with our children. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and helpful, always willing to change any items on the menu to suit personal tastes. The service is very quick and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Cafe in the Park - Beggarwood

We had a stop there with our coach on our way to Bombay Sapphire. Very friendly people. Nice food at an affordable price. We were glad to support the local community.

The Riverdene

We went here for the opening day, had a great time as a family of four.
There’s lots of space for the kids to enjoy with an outdoor play park. Aswell as indoor games such as pool. There’s looks to be lots of events planned including karaoke nights ect. We joined the Facebook group so we can keep updated.
There’s picnic bench’s in the beer garden, to enjoy a drink in the sunshine. And ample seating inside of the weather isn’t as warm.
Very welcoming staff behind the bar with lots of drink options. They are also really reasonable priced drinks.
We spent most of the day there, enjoying a willls meals in the evening which can be ordered to eat in.
We will 100% be will be returning regularly.
Worth mentioning, The newly refreshed décor looks brilliant; modern, welcoming, and really adds to the atmosphere. Great job by all involved.
Highly recommend visiting!

Chineham Indian Cuisine

I ordered a chicken tikka masala at vindaloo hot and the curry was out of this world. My partner ordered standard chicken tikka masala. We both agree that last night was genuinely the best curry we have both ever had. We have eaten here a few times now and the food is always stunning, however last night it was perfect.
The naan bread is also just WOW. ?

- some extra mint source to have with our chicken chat and puree would have been nice though as they was a little dry. We did order an additional tub of mint source for this reason, but it still wasn’t enough for us both

Laarsens

Great pub, both during the week and for nights out on weekends (always busy)
Staff are friendly and attentive, huge beer garden with plenty of shelter and overhead heaters. Decent pint of Guinness, too

We’ve been eating here since the 1980’s. Several different owners and alternative names eg Romna Tandoori. Wonderful food which we liken to what home cooking in India would be like.Parking: Parking lot is a 10 minute walk away. Not easy for mobility impaired patrons.

Oakridge Fish & Chips & Chinese Takeaway

This is our local; and possibly one of the best around town (have had similar meals elsewhere around town). Food is consistently good, we have a selection of meals.

Golden Lion

My closest pub and I'm so glad. I feel comfortable coming into this pub on my own or just with my dog. Staff are always friendly and kind. Lovely vibe over Christmas too. Very welcoming and very dog friendly.

Hartley's Kitchen

Found this hidden gem and so pleased we did. Lovely coffee, freshly made cheese and spinach omelette, breakfast wrap and homemade flapjack. Service fantastic, warm and friendly. Dog made very welcome. Unfortunately can only sit outside (which has covered area) with dogs unless service dog. Only drawback for me was the smokers from offices who didn’t even buy anything but sat smoking nearby. Could do with signs on table with no smoking zone. However in spite of this will still return!

Station Kebabs

Fantastic kebab van that's been at this location for many many years. Staff are always friendly and love having a chat to you.Have never had a bad experience there and the food has always been good. Some may say the prices are high, but for the quantity and quality, I'd say the pricing is bang on.There isn't any official parking at the site, the spaces nearby are for disabled or permit holders, but in practice you're able to park there and wait whilst they make your food without issue.Obviously busiest on Friday/Saturday evenings, so best to go before the pubs start kicking people out if you want to avoid a wait.Definitely be returning, hope they stay there for a long time!

Stunning celebration meal. Thankyou so much to the two lovely ladies that gave us 5 star service and also cooked us the most delicious Nepalese food. We enjoyed the momo so much that there was not a chance for me to take a picture. Everything was fantastic and locals were friendly. We can't wait to come back!

Simple menu, good food well cooked.
We enjoyed our visit and would recommend.
Several of us were surprised not to find roasts on the Sunday menu, but what there was being served all looked delicious!

Mr Munch

Lovely clean and tidy. Food is reasonable price. The jacket was microwaved and the drinks flat. However lovely chips, baguette were nice. Staff friendly and definitely know there regulars and look after them remembering names and what they like. Disabled friendly but toilets are down stairs.

Youngs Fish Bar, Basingstoke (No Delivery Currently)

With Chinese foods so readily available in most places and supermarkets, why is a takeaway still worth the trip once or more times a week. For Young's, the answer is the people preparing, cooking and serving your meals. The curry was lovingly home-made from scratch every week, the fish and chips very generous and fresh, and my favourite - Singapore noodles, must equal to the offerings found in Singapore. Many basic supplies now cost many times before like OIL used. So I could appreciate their cost saving initiatives like cash only. I could only be grateful that there are still passionate local Chinese takeaways like Young's.

Smiley's Kebab

Delicious kebabs, and the portion sizes are very generous- like Halil! Upon arriving we realised it was cash only. The absolute gent said just to pay it back when we can. Offered us some sample chicken fresh off the grill too! Highly recommend for the service alone- the good food is for sure a bonus.

Caffè Nero

Great staff, always friendly and efficient. Reasonable selection of cakes and snacks, some comfortable easy chairs as well as usual table layout. Coffee is way better than Costa in my opinion. Happy to use this place regularly.

Today I was served by Kerry-Ann. She was kind,funny and helpful. An absolute breath of fresh air to customer service.My sub was fresh and delicious.Kerry-Ann served us with a beautiful smile and a great sence of humour. She took time to make our subs perfectly. She was very patient as I had not been to a sub way for a long time and my friend had never been. Although Kerry-Ann was busy she took time to listen and explain how things worked with meal deals and offered the best option for us.I would happily recommend Kerry-Ann and this subway to anyone.Good job Kerry-Ann well done
