It was like walking into someone's front room on entering the cafe. The couple on the next table were just recieving their dinner steak pie and it looked delicious.I asked them if it tasted as good as it looked they said it was, so we promptly ordered two portions and we weren't disappointed.It was served with either chips or new potatoes, garden or mushy peas plus a rich brown gravy.The meat was melt in the mouth and was just so tasty. Thinking that we couldn't possibly eat another thing, we had a piece each of coffee and walnut cake with a cup of tea and coffee which was just as good. The service from a lovely lady was excellent. We would definitely go again if we came to Pately Bridge what a gem.

The Bridge Inn
Low Wath Rd, HarrogateDid not eat here , service at the bar lady was so friendly we felt at home straight away , they had a group on during the day unfortunately we had to move on . We will visit again , we think it's a good pub proving a really friendly traditional atmosphere.

Wildings Tea Room and Riverside Terrace
Nidd Walk, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateReceived a lovely warm welcome when we walked in, and invited to take a seat inside or outside - we chose a table on the back patio, with the sounds of the river playing in the back ground.
I chose an cream tea, which was lovely. The scone was fresh and tasty, the raspberry jam was amazing (the waitresses recommendation) and the clotted cream scrummy. The crockery was lovely.
The cakes in the cake cabinet looked amazing. And they were presented in a very different manner, which I liked a lot.
The highlight of our visit has to be Edie, the server. She was bright, cheerful, funny, and very happy to interact with two 'old' farts! ? ? The other staff were very pleasant too.

Restaurant at The Sportsman's Arms
Mill Cottages, Wath, HarrogateNice pub in a beautiful location. Food was good and the staff were lovely.
In the summer it is probably a lot nicer atmosphere. They have a very large outdoor seating area. In the depths of winter the inside was a bit tired looking.
Don't get me wrong. It is a nice evening out, and I will definitely return in the summer time.

The Sandwich Box

Bought 2 sandwiches. Lots of filling in lovely fresh baps. Very good value for money. The shop was very clean also. Both of the staff were very friendly. An excellent sandwich shop with lots of choices

The Royal Oak
Bridgehouse Gate, B6265, Bridgehouse Gate, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateNipped in for a meal as we were staying at the campsite up the road, amazing food and friendly staff can highly recommend for food or just a drink, if we are ever back in tbe area we wont hesitate to come back.

Nidderdale Way Cafe
Studfold Farm, Lofthouse, HarrogateIt's difficult to put into words but the sandwich I had was perfect! Crispy bacon, runny egg, black pudding and crunchy hash browns... I know the photo doesn't do it justice but it isn't easy to serve up such a bob-on breakfast. The owners were friendly and accommodating too. We will be visiting again...
The coffee was a little watery but I do love a creamy latte with whole milk, so probably just taste.

The Pateley Club
42 High St, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateWe have all been on our travels, and we have all had that 'feeling', when you walk into a strange place, in a strange town, and you don't get the warm welcome we wanted.
Well not in this club, you kind of expect the barman to be polite don't you, he wants you to spend money. But within an hour, I think everyone in the place had said hello, asked where we were from, where we were staying. And when we explained we were gonna be regulars, we felt like 'locals' instantly.
I'm a Yorkshire man born & bred, and the welcome in this establishment speaks volumes. We are very warm people.

Olley's Pizzeria
Bridgehouse Gate, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateDuring our recent stay in Pateley Bridge we thought we would try the local Italian restaurant, Olly’s. This was the best meal, by far, that we had during our stay. They do the usual pizza/pasta and if you dine in, they have many specials on the blackboards to choose from. Great food and the staff were lovely. Despite calling midafternoon on a Friday, they did manage to fit us in for that evening, and we are very pleased that they did.
I would certainly recommend you give it try.

High Street Fisheries
16 High St, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateFood was fresh and beautiful best fish and chips we have had in a long time and we live in a sea side resort with many 5star chippys the lady’s were also very friendly and professional couldn’t recommend enough can not wait for our next visit
