Airton, SkiptonProbably one of the finest Full English Breakfasts around (mine was without the tomato as I don't like them), and definitely worth checking out if you're heading to Malham for the day
Super friendly staff, a great menu, and a well provisioned Farm Shop too (if you need snacks for your adventures)

The Bull
Broughton, SkiptonOverall was a very good experience to finish our day of walking in a well presented, warm, dog friendly pubs.
Good selection of beer on tap, we had a San Miguel and a Budvar, both were refreshing and decent.
The food was very nice, full of flavour.
We had:
chicken, ham and leek pie, and
Goats cheese and red pepper linguine
The only real criticism would be the portion size of the linguine as this was a little small and the side order of chips we ordered were most certainly welcome.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, service was a little slow, although it was fairly busy when we visited, and it didn't bother us as the flavours made the wait worth while.

The Bay Horse
Snaygill Industrial Estate, Bradley, KeighleyExcellent Lunch!
Just called for a lunch for two, having passed many times before. The food was excellent and so was our service. Two really minor points, but that's cos I feel I should be a mystery diner... tomato sauce bottle had previous remnants round it. Secondly, everyone that came in after us were sat next to us- even a small child and does nobody remember COVID times??? Just personal grouses, sorry!

The Royal Shepherd Inn
Canal St, SkiptonWe enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch at this fantastic pub today. It was quite busy due to the Christmas market, but we were fortunate to grab a table. The atmosphere is genuinely old-world and a refreshing change from typical chain establishments. The staff were excellent—very helpful and efficient. The location is beautiful, even on a rainy December day, and I can only imagine how perfect it is in the summer. The food was good and satisfying, but perhaps didn't quite reach the 'excellent' mark. Highly recommended for a true pub feel.

Calico Jack Restaurant & Bar
36 Water St, SkiptonThis was our first visit here so didn’t really know what to expect. We normally go to the larger food chains but thought we’d give an independent a try for a change. We went on a Sunday evening, we had booked a table but it wasn’t very busy when we arrived. We were a family of 5 and easily found something for all our tastes on the menu. The staff were friendly and attentive. When the food arrived we were all pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of it. In fact my husband ordered the Stromboli, they let him swap some ingredients in it, and he said it was the best he’d tasted in a long time. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely make a return visit.

Blackhorse Skipton
High St, SkiptonBlackhorse is the busiest pub in Skipton and for good reason.
The staff are friendly and efficient.
The food is fair priced and exquisite.
The beer is crisp and refreshing.
Not only that, but you have the sports playing on the tele, a pool table, the place is huge so you're never short of seats and the beer garden at the back overlooks the canal so on a warm day it's an outstanding place to go for a few pints with your friends.

The Masons Arms
Marton Rd, Gargrave, SkiptonWe had the pleasure of staying at this lovely village pub during our touring holiday of Yorkshire this last week. What an absolute pleasure. We had a twin room with the comfiest beds and gorgeous decor, despite us booking with a dog (which we have often found means a room that is a bit tired and not worried about a big of dog hair etc!) but happily not in this case - it felt positively luxurious. I’m disabled so a ground floor room with wet room was perfect for me. We also had an evening meal in the pub and found the menu full of delicious options for all tastes. We chose the sharing platter, aptly named Yapas - based on a Yorkshire version of tapas. It was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by us both. Very good value as was the breakfast and catering to my veggie/vegan requests. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful throughout our stay. So a big thank you to Amy and Richard for a wonderful break - it was well worth it and will be recommended to anyone we know travelling up to your “neck of the woods”. Hopefully we’ll be back again next year!

Pendleside & Phoenix Blonde - which Mason told me was nearing the end of the barrel & if it wasn’t right, take it back. It tasted great. Inch’s cider & ABK Pilsner as a top lager plus five cask beers. 100% connected to the much loved Cash & Mealey short lived but iconic series - I can just see John Henshaw behind the bar here with Eddie, Joan & Tommy occupying some seats! GREAT PUB + we were privileged to meet Beagrie the dog #legend!

Walker’s Bakery
27 Main St, Grassington, SkiptonWhile on holiday at Bolton Abbey,
We took the bus to Grassington been here numerous times over the years,
But while here this time needed to get a loaf of bread so decided to try this local bakery .
Wasn’t disappointed we were served by a lovely member of staff who offered to slice the loaf for me I declined as I like to cut my own bread and while we were there thought we would treat ourselves to something nice I had a Yorkshire Pasty which was absolutely delicious,
My wife had a mars bar crunchy cake type of confectionery.
Which she also really enjoyed.
And looking around at the other delicious items for sale the prices were very reasonable as well.
The bakery was very busy serving customers so that shows how popular this Bakery is.
If I lived here I would most definitely be using this bakery couple of times a week.
Highly recommended .
