Ffinnant, CaerswsStaying onsite and visited for lunch today, and will be going back again before we go home. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff are attentive as soon as you walk through the door. Nice selection of food and drinks on offer at reasonable prices. All of the food we had was cooked really well, presentation was lovely but most importantly the food was delicious ? what a treat this restaurant and site is ??

The Old Village Hall, LlanbrynmairJust googling to see if they're open...on way to a regular breakfast treat. Easy parking. Great local shop for essentials on way into the caffi...well laid out unpretentious tables and a large menu to choose from. Food usually arrives without a long wait, and we have yet to find any fault with it. Been breakfasting here for years now...delighted that they are still dishing up tasty food at a very reasonable cost. Good coffee too :-)

The Unicorn Hotel
4-5 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesWe had a lovely visit to the Unicorn Hotel. The rooms are beautiful and freshly refurbished and the owner couldn't be more welcoming. Highly recommend the hot chocolate! Thank you, Mikey!

Cobblers Tea Room
44 High St, LlanidloesCalled in to get a takeaway cake for my daughter, who chose a Victoria sponge and declared it the best she had ever eaten! So much so that we called in again before leaving the village to grab 2 more cakes! (Carrot and coffee & walnut). Both equally as delicious as the first! The (I presume) owner was lovely and friendly, I would definitely recommend this gorgeous little tea shop.

Bethel St, LlanidloesCalled in for coffee and cakes, we ate the best lemon and black cherry cheesecake I have ever had! Friendly staff and good coffee too. Be wary if sitting outside, the table we sat at was sharp on the edge where it had rusted away.

Ground Floor, 1 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesOrder taken efficiently and politely, pick up on requested time and ready, the restaurant looked very clean and smart, the 2 curries we ordered were very tasty and hot and a generous portion, fries, basmati rice and popadoms and chutnies great and fresh, will call again when next in Llanidloes.

Llanidloes Kebab & Pizza House
6 Great Oak St, LlanidloesMe and some of my chums were on a cycling journey from the top to the bottom of Wales, and we ended our third night in Llanidloes. We arrived at the town without any expectations for a pleasant meal, but oh boy were we wrong. Little did we know that we were about to stumble in the Best Kebab Shop In Wales. I ordered some chicken with my friends ordering a pizza, a donner kebab and some chips, and believe me when i tell you these were some of the best meals that we ever ventured upon. My chicken was cooked to the perfect tenderness, the pizza with enough cheese but not too much the donner kebab set to the perfect quality and the chips were excecuted wonderfully. Who needs Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen when you have the Llanidloes Kebab and Pizza House, not only was the food above and beyond better, but the service was without a doubt the best you’ll ever get, even recieving a cheeky free drink and grapes, and certainly there were no “idiot sandwiches” around here. Bella Pizza (Caernarfon) take some notes because without of the doubt Llanidloes Kebab and Pizza House is the best Kebab Shop not only in Wales, but in the world. Thank you for changing my life.

Carno, CaerswsStayed in the area for 4 days. As we arrived we had a lovely welcome. Nice draft beer drinks and food was very reasonably priced. We even sat out the back in the enclosed beer garden where our dog ran of the lead until he tired himself out. If your looking for simple pub grub then I would highly recommend. Oh and it was nice and clean..

The Whistling Badger
4 Short Bridge St, LlanidloesI was just reminiscing on one of my visits to Wales and found this place (I read some of the other more recent reviews and see they aren’t currently serving food) however if they ever get the kitchen going again… out of my three years living in the UK this was the best fish in chips I had BY FAR! Highly recommend!

The Raj Mahal
30 Great Oak St, LlanidloesStaying in Llani for a short break and fancied a take away. Could not have been happier with the Raj. Popped in to order an hour ahead so we could go for a drink - not a worry! Very good menu - traditional dishes alongside lots of specialities. Was ready on time. Food was really tasty - full of flavour. Portions were generous and excellent value. We did a quick comparison with our local Indian - the Raj was a third cheaper and to be honest tastier. 10% off menu price for collection. Felt like a real treat. Thanks Raj for a superb take away.

New Welcome Takeaway
44 Long Bridge St, LlanidloesUsed this takeaway when stopping on a caravan site nearby, friendly staff, food was cooked quickly, both meals ordered tasted very nice, good portion sizes and where still lovely and hot even after the 10 min drive back to site, the chicken in the chicken ball was nice and moist not dry like in some previous reviews, batter was lovely and crisp, overall very nice

24 China St, LlanidloesWe visited this chippy for the first time today. I have family that have recently moved to the area and we wanted to sample some of the local fare. First of all, we were surprised at the prices, which are incredibly reasonable. We all had the cod and chips except one of us, who had the curry and chips. We were all very happy with the size of the portions and the quality of the food. The fish and chips were cooked fresh and were delicious. The man who served us was very friendly and even advised us that we could bring our dogs to dine in next time if we wanted. Highly recommended ?
