Burrow Knap Way, AxminsterBest beef ever (and that might not have been as good as the ridiculously moist venison kofts canapes).
We'd been so looking forward to this evening in the wood - I think my expectations had even become a little unrealistic - but High Grange delivered, and some. Or should that be and yum?
Beautiful setting, lovely casual vibe, gorgeous plates, staff who knew exactly how to make you feel like you were eating round at a mates house. Simple world class. In a wood in Devon!
We'll be back.
And did I mention the beef? Ex-dairy cow cooked asado (Argentinian cooking). Just wow.

Belluno Italian Axminster
West St, AxminsterHad a fantastic experience here this evening! Food was 10/10, service was fast, highly recommend the fettuccine alla bolognese! It was really reasonably priced with the Monday deal which was about £11.95 per main. One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to and I've been to Italy! I will say that parking wasn't the easiest to find unless you go to a paid car park but we did find on street parking that was free after 6pm so bare that in mind if you are driving!

First Floor, Trinity House, Trinity Square, AxminsterBest authentic Belgian waffles. All varieties excellent, especially simplicity of maple syrup. Lively atmosphere and games to borrow to keep you entertained. We come back regularly, and they've just added a multi choice salad. Mine was fabulous ?

The Hunters Lodge Inn
Charmouth Rd, AxminsterWent to the hunters Lodge for our anniversary and it did not dissapoint. The staff were friendly, and very helpful. I had chilli prawns that were cooked perfect, my husband had mushrooms which he said were tasty. Then I had the seabass which I must say was cooked perfectly, my husband had steak with port an wine sauce which he said was outstanding. The meals were hot, the veg was hot and all stay hot till the last bite. Well done Hunters lodge if I could have given you 10 stars ? I would have. Thankyou

Higgler Coffee
South St, AxminsterI stumbled across Higgler Coffee last week while working, and I’m so glad I did. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Laurence - incredibly welcoming and clearly proud of what he’s created. The décor is stunning, the atmosphere relaxed, and the staff were genuinely friendly. My oat latte was spot on - perfectly balanced and smooth. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to!

Great Trill Farm, Pudleylake Rd, Musbury, AxminsterKit & Kee catered our wedding weekend in July, handling our Friday night dinner, Saturday reception, and Sunday brunch. The entire planning process was seamless. They were incredibly patient and flexible, and nothing was too much trouble. They offered creative ideas, were happy to make menu changes, and provided excellent recommendations for crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment and glassware hire.
Our guests are still raving that it was the best wedding food they've ever eaten. Kit & Kee is so much more than a typical caterer. The presentation is stunning, the flavours are sublime, and their commitment to quality is evident in every detail, from sourcing ingredients to the final plating. We felt incredibly lucky to have them as part of our special day and can't wait to eat their food again.

The Castle, Castle Hill, AxminsterWe received a very friendly welcome when we arrived for lunch. The landlord even opened up one of his outbuildings for us to park our bikes safely. They specialise in guest ales and home cooked food - and neither disappointed. We’ll be back!

Were very accommodating and answered some questions about their coffee.Tasted some of their coffee onsite too and was absolutely amazing.Highly recommended.

We love Sandy, she is friendly and funny, loves the dogs and is a wealth of local information ?
Vegetarian options: Vegan sweets and sugar free chocolate available
Dietary restrictions: Sugar free and gluten free chocolate, dairy free sweets
Parking: Situated in the town square where there is free parking gor up yo 2 hours apart from Thursdays which is market day !
Kid-friendliness: It's a sweet shop...what's not kid friendly about a sweet shop ?

Burger ok to eat but nothing to write home about.

1 Silver St, AxminsterWhat a joy to find a pub with such well cared for real ales. I wasn't feeling too great, so couldn't have as many as I would have liked. The IPA and 200 (both from Palmers) were top notch. I should add that the staff and atmosphere equal the quality of the beer. I am tempted to move to Axminster to have this as my local!

Park Farm, Trinity Hill Rd, AxminsterMy first wedding at River Cottage and I truly hope it’s not my last. Lucy and her staff were simply the best wedding team I have worked with. Everyone was happy to be there even working under pressure. The chefs were involved not locked away, they invited guests to come and see what was happening in service, such a refreshing change.The outdoor ceremony in the cottage garden is amazing and unique.Keep an eye out for the setting sun in the meadow, simply one of the best wedding venues around.

The Old weighbridge Building, Woodmead Rd, AxminsterWe came here whilst on holiday not expecting much. Well, it was the best lamb bhuna I’ve ever had! The lamb melted in the mouth. Everything we ordered was clearly home made, fresh and using good ingredients. Very glad we came.

South St, AxminsterA bit expensive but thay are the only takeaway for miles around. The food is good and they are a lovely bunch of blokes! There always very busy but they are pretty efficient so won't keep you waiting long.Parking: If you're lucky there is parking right outside otherwise you just might have to park further on down.

A35 Pit Stop
Kilmington Cross, AxminsterMy friend and I stayed here recently during our bikepacking trip across Devon. The room was clean and nicely presented, with thoughtful touches like coffee and tea provided, as well as toiletries included in the bathroom. After a long day of cycling, it was such a relief to have a comfortable space to relax in.
We also appreciated the secure space they had for storing our bikes overnight – it gave us real peace of mind. Overall, it is a great place to stay, close to a nice pub and a good value for money.

The Lemon Plaice
Lyme St, AxminsterI have always come here as a local whilst sometimes the chips can be a bit burnt/crisp (not today but previous visits a while back) I would say everything else is good honestly! They have changed staff over time, you can see efforts are being made but the 2 lads who served me today definitely had a good conversation with me which I appreciate and the right attitude.
I would love for 1 of them to reach out here if they can or Ella please would be nice cheers :)
