Very friendly staff.
Good variety for dinner and some lovely specials of the day. We chose from the specials and standard menu and all were great. Scallops with black pudding starter special and the dresses crab main special, were both delicious. As were the fish and chips, scampi.

Brandsby's Coffee Shop
BATA Easingwold Country Store & Garden Centre, Raskelf Rd, Easingwold, YorkToday we popped into Brandsbys coffee shop, part of Bata Garden centre.
We had a cream tea for 2. For £10 for both.
I have to say it was absolutely 'spot on'. ?
Scones were very proportionate with fruit. Strawberry jam was full of fruit, tasted scrumptious without being too sweet. Scones had been lightly toasted.
Plenty of butter.
A pot of cream each.
Teapots!
My Earl Grey was the brand Suki (fairtrade) with Blue Flower. Wonderful taste.
Partner had English Tea, equally tasty.
We could not fault any of it. Superb value for money and HOMEMADE SCONES ?
We will certainly go back. It was so clean and pleasant and the staff were welcoming and helpful.
Pets allowed with treats given.
Toilets are immaculate too.

The Fika Room
Market Pl, Easingwold, Yorkwent there for lunch and it was busy, my wife had poached egg on toast nicely done eggs on some nice thick toast I had jacket potato which came with a side salad everything was good. This place has medium prices and is good value for money, staff very pleasant.

The Curious Coffee Company
Market Pl, Easingwold, YorkEleven of us arrived unannounced on Tuesday 2nd September I asked if the staff could accommodate us all. Very swiftly tables and chairs were rearranged on the 1st floor for us all to sit together. Drink and food orders were taken after a few minutes and all arrived in a timely manner. All drinks and food prepared to order and as requested. For the following two mornings we asked if we could do the same again; the answer was yes.\nWell done to the staff at this lovely cafe, will return when in the area.

The Olive Branch
Market Pl, Easingwold, YorkLovely cafe with friendly staff. Food was really tasty, I had the full english. The black pudding was to die for!
It was a bit pricey, but the quality of the food made it worth the cost, you do pay for what you get.
I would happily visit again.

The New Inn
Flawith Rd, Tholthorpe, YorkWe had a great stay in Tholthorpe, in the apartment above the pub, and ate at the pub on one of the evenings.
The food was fantastic and all home cooked, fresh and local. Although the pub was quiet on the night we visited, everyone was friendly and we had a lovely evening. The New Inn is well worth a visit if you are in the area!

The Durham Ox
West Way, Crayke, YorkWent yesterday for the first time just for a drink. Love the inside of the pub. Fire was on, really cosy. Staff lovely and friendly. Fussed the dog and gave her a treat. Even showed us their function room at our request.

The Banyan Tree Market Place, YorkJust had a delivery from the Banyan Tree, Easingwold. Really quick delivery (1/2 hour ahead of estimate), excellent food, good & hot, well priced. Give it a try if you haven't done so.
